Fearless
"What?!" Keith screamed in surprise. "That can't be possible... The Supreme Warlord is..."
Keith paused after noticing that he was about to say what wasn't true. Sage hesitated a bit and said with that same fearful and serious expression she approached Keith with:
"Even though the Supreme Warlord isn't immortal, he is strong enough to defeat death when it comes... This is so unbelievable."
"Only immortals can defeat death, stop saying shit, Sage. He must have been murdered or something. Or maybe he was suffering from life-sucking plague," Keith said. Regardless of the unrest and shouts all over the city, Keith was calm and collected. Sage was surprised about this, but she decided to omit his act.
Right now, she only wants to go home and shut down all the clan's building doors to ensure her safety and survival of the chaos that might befall the Blue Planet.
The Supreme Warlord was the only hope of the humans when it comes to war and safety. He ended the war between the Specters with his devastating magical powers and skills, plaguing fear into the minds of the Specters and Dark Orcs.
Because of his devastating powers, the Specters haven't dared to attack the Blue Planet since the last war, and the humans were grateful for having such a human as their defense.
However, there were still other Warlords who awakened wonderful and devastating talents, but they were nothing to compare with that of the Supreme Warlord, Ten Faron.
He was the only one who had reached 8-stars in his Skill Grade, with hopes of getting to the Platinum rank talent someday. He was the one of the humans alive who could rank up his talent. He was highly praised by everyone but was never liked by the Lords.
The Lords could also rank up their talent, but their special powers was nothing to compare to the Supreme Warlord's powers. Though he wasn't a Lord, but his honors were two times greater than the ones the Lords would ever get.
Now that he is gone, the human race is in a big mess.
Keith and Sage walked towards the path leading to the main city. Sage had tried running, but Keith convinced her to stay calm and walk. At least It wasn't as if the Specters were here already. Even if war would come, Keith knew that it wouldn't be anytime soon.
They got to the main city after a long walk. Keith sniffed for a while and said:
"You should go home now, I want to go collect some herbs to make painkillers. The gates of the clan village should be shut down and let the whole area be lit up," Keith said with a serious expression.
"Then where are you going to spend the night when it's dark? You are Talentless and wouldn't be selected among those who will become an Awakened," Sage complained. She feared for her junior cousin brother's life.
"Don't worry Sage, I will be fine and safe. Just do what I said. The others are in their various duties so we are the only ones left at home," Keith said with a slight smile. He was able to convince her but wasn't able to make her leave that spot before him. She wanted to watch him leave so she could see where he was actually heading.
Seeing this, Keith pretended as if he was heading to the herb farm in the east, he walked not quite long forward and turned to go through the path leading to the Menace Forest when he noticed that Sage had left the spot she had stood on. She was out of sight.
As Keith made his way to the dark Menace Forest, he decided to check out the weapons in the system's shop. As he summoned the system in just the blink of an eye, it made a speedy appearance.

"Hmmm, I liked a dagger, but it turned out to be useful for only self-defense. The spear is great, but it's too expensive for me right now," Keith heaved a soft sign and looked at the Longsword section, "let's go for a longsword then. At least it can be helpful."
Keith selected the longsword and the system sounded again.

Immediately after the System's notification, a longsword appeared on Keith's right hand. "Yeah! This is how it goes!"
Keith looked at the longsword. It possessed a blue hue at its hilt, with a clean and shimmering aura from the blade. Keith felt his heart at rest, he had a weapon now, so his chance of defeating three Tier-0 monsters was boosted.
Scrutinizing the whole place with an outrageous smile, Keith approached the Menace Forest. Upon getting there, he muttered inwardly.
'I think the Supreme Warlord granted the system to me when he was about to give out. But why me, I'm nothing but a cheap fellow from a clan of Commoners who has been cursed by the heavens. I never deserved it.'
He stopped thinking the moment he entered into the forest. Now, his eyes became bloodshot. He was attentive, hoping to capture the three Tier-0 monsters without going that deep into the Menace Forest. He wouldn't stand a chance of defeating Tier-1 monsters if he sees one.
Just as he made a few steps forward, peeking through every nook and corner, Keith's face produced a bitter smile...
ROAR!
'That's a Wild Boar! A Tier-0 monster of course.'
Keith glanced at the monster who had noticed his approach. The Boar's face showed a clear indication of outrage and terror, but not even its look could make Keith afraid. Before Keith could study its features, the monster charged in his direction with speed.
Heaving a soft sigh, ready, Keith held tight the longsword and declared:
"Let's do this."
