5.Agree and sign

The night’s rain meant I had to arrive at the flat in damp clothes. I hadn’t expected it to rain tonight, so I hadn’t brought an umbrella. Arriving at the flat, I quickly took off my clothes and took a warm shower. After showering, I went to the dinner I bought on the way home. I hadn’t eaten anything after my work hours ended.

I sat on the dining table chair, wearing only my bathrobe, and enjoyed the giant cheeseburger with gusto. Just as I was stuffing the last piece of the burger into my mouth, the doorbell of my flat rang.

Who’s visiting at this hour?

My forehead scrunched up as I got up from my seat; while walking towards the door, my mouth chewed on the burger still in my mouth, and I opened the door after swallowing my food.

“You?!” I saw Rion standing before me, now wearing a thick dark brown coat with a black turtle neck t-shirt inside.

“How did you know I was staying here?” I asked, surprised.

“You’re insulting. I’m a guest, and you just let me.”

I cringed and felt offended and embarrassed and invited him in.

“Sit down, I’ll get dressed.”

“Later, I’m only here for your autograph,” he quickly replied, making me frown and look at him momentarily.

“Did you pretend to forget, or did you forget?”

Two days I was passed with me busy at college and work. I will soon take my thesis exam. Then, I started to remember the agreement between us.

“Sorry, lately I-“

“I don’t need to listen to the details of your activities; I just want your signature; according to your request, you need two days before the signature.”

I swallowed dryly as the man looked at me seriously and sharply. His amber eyes seemed to burn so brightly. I lowered my head to break eye contact, walked over, and sat beside him nervously. Rion opened the document for me and placed a pen on the document I had to sign. My mouth suddenly went dry, staring at the document and pen. I squeezed the bathrobe on the top of my thighs. I was nervous about forgetting this one thing.

“How about I sign this in front of a lawyer? That will make the agreement between us even more legally binding.”

Hearing Rion exhale, I glanced at him beside me.

“Are you trying to delay again? Now, Amelia.”

Rion brought his body closer to me and reached for the pen lying on top of the document, then took my hand and slipped the pen into my fingers, his hand grasping my hand and holding the pen. My heart was pounding from this intimacy, the musk scent emanating from him making me lose focus momentarily.

“Now, sign the document; after that, I want us to move on to our next business.”

I could only gulp as I heard him speak close to my ear. His breath tickled my neck and cheeks. With slightly trembling hands, I signed the document. Then he kissed my cheek after I finished signing it.

“Good Girl. Now, let’s finish our other business.”

I swallowed dryly again, now feeling somewhat scared and depressed. Then, Rion turned my face towards him, and his lips kissed mine; I was momentarily surprised. He started the game by lulling me into his kiss, and without me being able to prevent or resist, we did it again on my couch tonight.

As he climaxed in our passion play, he growled low in his throat and called my name in a sexy half-whisper. His amber eyes lit up as he looked up at me after his release.

“You’re mine, Amelia,” he said, to which I only responded with silence and stared at him.

“Am I the umpteenth woman for you?” I asked, just out of curiosity.

“You want to know?” Rion replied with a question that made me roll my eyes.

“If you don’t want to answer, don’t.”

“I’m a man, and I have needs.”

He said, and I remained silent. Rion got up from his current position on top of me. He then put on his clothes with his back to me. I could see the scars on his broad back. Not just one but several, and they were all extensive.

“That must have hurt like hell.” I wanted the silence between us to disappear. I also wanted to know more about this man.

“What?” he asked, not understanding. Rion put on his jeans and then turned to me, who was still lying on the sofa with my naked body covered by the bathrobe.

“That scar, the one on your back.” I clarified my meaning. Rion picked up his black long-sleeved turtle neck shirt and put it on. From any angle, he was handsome and powerful.

“All those wounds had different stories when I got them. I’m going home; if you need anything, call me.”

He put on his coat and left me to catch my breath.

“Just like a whore,” I muttered, which I didn’t expect her to hear.

“You’re not a whore, because you’ll only sleep with me.”

“What’s the difference? You bought me for a lot of money, and after you’ve accomplished your goal, we go our separate ways.” I stared at the window curtain of my flat with a glum look.

“You made it so. I offered you to be my mate, which meant you had to marry me, but you refused and only wanted to bear a child for me.”

I chuckled and leaned my head on the arm of the sofa while closing my eyes; what Rion said was true.

“You’re right; it’s all my fault because I live in poverty. I have to earn money for my mom’s treatment and my studies, but I didn’t expect that night I’d have to go to that damn event.”

I thought Rion was gone, and I was babbling to myself, but he was on top of my head when I opened my eyes.

“Whatever the reason, you are currently under my power.”

I stared at him silently and thought.

“What if I don’t manage to give you a child?” The question just slipped out.

“It depends on the situation; if you prove you can’t get pregnant, I’ll let you go, and our agreement ends, but if you try not to fulfill the agreement’s contents, you know what will happen to you.”

That threat made my gut shrink a little. I nodded, got up from my current position, and held the bathrobe before my body. Of course, my life would be in exchange.

“You go home; I want to rest.” I stood up and put on my bathrobe properly.

“You kicked me out?”

I turned my head and looked at him with a momentary frown.

“I thought you left already.”

I moved to my room, but Rion held me back when I was beside him.

“Do you need anything?”

I looked down. Honestly, I still needed money to pay for my mother’s treatment for another full year. I let out a breath.

“No,” I answered shortly.

“I’ll pick you up tomorrow; I want to discuss something at my house.”

I nodded weakly, after which Rion left. I stared at the door that had just closed.

“Our relationship is just an agreement, nothing more,” I said when Rion had left entirely.
