Chapter 11-Kiss it.

"What a delightful and relaxing day it is!"

As I exited the police station,I sighed leisurely towards the sky.

Aiden walked behind me, his expression slightly dark.

We learned from Mike that an employee from C, responsible for project reviews, appeared at this bar. This man developed an interest in a waitresses at the bar and had been frequenting it for several days.

Mike aimed to connect with this man through Alan, hoping it would benefit his team in winning the project.Unfortunately, things didn't go as he had thought. Not only did he cause trouble for everyone, but he also landed himself in the police station.

"I'm right in front of you. Don't secretly ponder about me in your heart." I nudged Aiden, attempting to divert his attention.

Aiden laughed because of my childlike behavior.

" Don't be too disheartened. We acquired some valuable information today. You should be pleased."

Aiden appeared burdened, his brow furrowed with concern.

"I believe Mike was deceived."

"Must be, not should be." I asserted confidently.

"There are no C Company people, and no waitresses. It was all a decoy to lure Mike." I explained.

"Mike mentioned Mr. Allen provided the information." Aiden said, looking at me.

Understanding his implication, I swiftly responded, "No need to hesitate. We can confront Alan and inquire directly."

Aiden nodded.

Jack had parked his car beside us.As I was about to enter the car, a luxurious Porsche pulled up next to Jack's used car.

A man in a black suit, wearing a Bluetooth headset, got out.

To my surprise, he approached me.

Could he be so smitten with me that he's asking me out?

My thoughts wandered, and I completely overlooked Aiden's presence.

Aiden's solemn expression turned cautious as the young man approached.

This is a man's exclusive vigilance. He realized that someone had been eyeing his possessions.

Unaware of his intentions, Aiden stood between me and the young man.

"Hey, you can't just approach her like that." Aiden warned.

Undeterred, the young man responded, "I've been sent by Mr. Monford to fetch Miss Chloe. Who are you?"

"I..."

Aiden attempted to say something, but he realized he wasn't authorized to make decisions for me. He turned to me, no longer as firm.

Taking Aiden's hand, I addressed the young man, "It doesn't matter who sent you. I don't want to go home right now."

"I apologize, Miss Chloe. My orders are to ensure your safe return. If you have further questions, please contact Mr. Monford and explain your situation."

Without waiting for my response, the young man dialed Monford's number. He informed Monford of my location and the two men with me.

"Yes, Sir. Miss Chloe won't go home... I understand, Sir."

He handed me the phone with both hands. "Miss Chloe, Mr. Monford would like to speak with you."

After I answered the call, Monford informed me that Grandpa had returned home earlier than expected.

Grandpa flew into a rage when he discovered I wasn't at home. He was already aware that Mary had helped me escape. He gathered all the castle servants and berated Mary severely in front of everyone.

Upon learning about Grandpa's anger, I quickly reconsidered my plans to continue playing outside.Mary assisted me under pressure. I can't bring trouble to her.

After the call, I apologized to Aiden and promised to accompany him to see Alan the next morning.

Since Alan's father was a director at M Company, Aiden, as a corporate employee, couldn't meet Alan directly.

"It's alright, Miss Chloe. Don't worry about me, just deal with your issues with your grandfather."

"That's very kind of you."

I kissed Aiden and hopped into the Porsche while he was still in shock.

·

As we drove, I looked at the young man in the driver's seat.

Irritated that he had revealed my whereabouts to Monford, I asked, "What's your name?"

He remained silent.

"Do you work for M Company?"

Still no response.

Impatiently, I questioned, "Are you deaf or mute? Can't you hear me?"

"..."

"Why did you inform Monford about me?"

"I haven't said anything negative about you, Miss Chloe. I simply provided Mr. Monford with accurate information."

"To speak truthfully doesn't mean revealing everything. You could have said everything was fine with me.Why share so much?"

"..." He was silent once more.

After some thought, I changed my approach.

"Who are you in relation to Monford?"

"I'm Docker, Mr. Monford's bodyguard, Miss Chloe."

I guessed right. He only responds when I bring up Monford.

Feeling irritated, I decide to go outside and get some fresh air.

"Stop, I need to use the bathroom."

"... Miss Chloe, we'll be there in fifteen minutes, and you..."

"If you don't stop, I'll take off my pants and pee in the car!"

I noticed Docker giving me an incredulous look in the rearview mirror. Clearly, he never expected such coarse language to come from the mouth of a wealthy lady.

The car came to a stop at a gas station rest area.

Docker stepped out of the car and courteously opened the door for me. As I made my way to the bathroom door, I realized that he had been following me the entire time.

Glancing back at him, I teasingly asked, "Are you hoping to watch me pee?"

Docker glanced at the ladies' room sign and took a step back, appearing shocked.

His expression was very serious, but his ears were red, appearing almost as if they were bleeding.

Seems like a prudish boy.

I walked out of the bathroom and noticed Docker still standing by the door.

He turned sideways, and my gaze traveled down his handsome profile, finally settling on his well-defined hips.

His buttocks were as full as a peach, tempting one to reach out and touch.

And, of course, I did.

"Would you like to be my bodyguard?"

Docker turned his head slowly and reminded me in a nonchalant tone, "Miss Chloe, please take your hands off my hips."

"Cheapskate."

I gave him a hearty squeeze on the buttocks and walked away, feeling satisfied.

·

I encountered no one on my way back to the castle.

Upon entering the drawing room, I discovered that everyone in the castle had gathered there.

They all stood with their heads down, breathing cautiously in the oppressive atmosphere.

I found Mary on her knees, and her father, also the castle's butler, humbly pleading on her behalf.

But Grandpa's expression was so stern that even from a distance, I could feel his majesty as the most respected member of the Meredith family.

The sound of my heels drew everyone's attention, including my grandfather.

The way he looked at me was very complex, encompassing love and anger at my defiance of his authority.

Knowing what awaited me. I closed my eyes and slumped into Docker's arms, who had been following me all the way.

"Chloe!"

"Miss Chloe has fainted!"

"My precious granddaughter, what's the matter with you?"

"Get Dr. Peter here. No one else is to interfere with Miss Chloe, and return to your posts!"

"......"

Thanks to my prudent decisions, my mistakes were temporarily overlooked.

I was carried to my room. Grandpa sat by the bed, watching me until the family doctor arrived.

Aware that I couldn't conceal the truth from the doctor, I pretended to open my eyes in pain, offering my first words as an apology to Grandpa.

Observing my vulnerability, Grandpa's heart softened, and he forgave me. He advised me to rest well, take my medicine regularly as instructed by the family doctor, and assured me that he wouldn't blame me and Mary.

The family doctor, displaying wisdom, informed Grandpa that my fainting was due to poor health, emphasizing the need for extra rest.

Grandpa breathed a sigh of relief and gently instructed everyone to leave after a few words, allowing me to rest in peace.

As everyone began to depart, I heard a dismissive laugh.

Following the sound, I saw that it was Docker.

He was right behind me and must have known my fainting was staged.

Aware that Docker was an inflexible individual, I feared he would divulge the truth to Grandpa.

Swiftly, I called out his name.

"Docker!"

He stopped.

I hurriedly got out of bed, closed and locked the door.

He stared at me. "Miss Chloe is really something. One moment, she's fainting, and now she's moving faster than I am."

"Indeed, you figured out I was pretending to faint. So, I can't let you go, you'll stay here with me tonight!"

"No way!"

Docker was resolute in his refusal.

I smiled at him and pulled out my phone to call Monford.

"My dear brother, I want Docker to stay and protect me today."

Monford was unaware of what had transpired, but whenever I asked, he always agreed.

"Yes."

"But Docker said no."

I put my phone on speaker. Monford's voice came through the phone.

"You tell Docker that I ordered him to stay with you today."

Docker stood there, realizing he had been abandoned.

I smiled and continued to question Monford, "What if he doesn't listen to me?"

"I'll let him know. You don't have to worry."

He deserves to be my good brother. He never lets me down.

After hanging up, I waved my phone at Docker in the face of his resentful eyes.

"Why are you angry? You heard Monford telling you to listen to me."

I folded my arms across my chest. "Let me see your sincerity."

Docker took a deep breath. Even if unwilling, he bowed his head to me and got down on one knee.

"Miss Chloe, I will do Mr Monford's bidding to protect you, and I will obey your orders!"

I was a little surprised. I also wanted to see how far he could follow my orders.

I put my foot on his lap and commanded in a master's voice, "Kiss it."
