Chapter 4-A man with a well-toned physique.
In front of M Company.
The moment Jack pulled up to the company, a security guard rushed out to chase us away.
Jack's car is a used delivery truck. Parking such an ordinary vehicle in front of the most high-profile M company in the whole city is really very inappropriate.
"Go away, go away, pull the car to the back door; this is not where you park!"
The guard banged on the window and waved his arms at Jack to pull into the hidden back door.
Jack frowned. If I hadn't been in the car, he would have jumped out and argued with the security guard.
"Miss Chloe, what shall we do?"
"When I arrive at my own company, there is no reason to enter through the back door."
With a calm expression, I signaled to Jack to exit the car and open the door for me.
Jack nodded, opened the door, and walked down.
When the security guard saw him exiting the car, the commotion escalated.
"Can't you understand? I told you to pull around to the back door. You can't park here!"
"Shut up, do you know who's in my car?"
Jack used my name to assert authority with security.
The security guard looked visibly stunned. He was obviously frightened by what Jack said.
And when Jack opened the car door, extended his hand to me, and mentioned my name, the security guard's body was shaking.
"I'm so sorry, Miss Chloe, I... I didn't know you were sitting in the car..."
The security guard's voice was trembling. He's really scared now.
I smiled faintly. "You didn't do anything wrong. Don't apologize."
I asked Jack to pick me up in two hours, then I tidied up my clothes and strode into work.
The lunch break is not over.
There are many people in the lobby of the company. They were still talking and laughing with each other, but when I walked in, they immediately stopped talking and focused all their eyes on me.
Those eyes, expressing surprise, confusion, and worry, confirmed that I was a challenging person before I lost my memory.
At the front desk was a Black woman named Lisa.
Lisa greeted me warmly as soon as she saw me. She led me to an elevator that only senior company leaders could ride and smiled at me with an eight-toothed grin until the door closed.
To be honest, their deferential attitude towards me really made me feel respected. But it's also a burden.
Even though they were smiling at me, I could see in their eyes that they were afraid. It was like seeing a demon imprisoned in hell break free and come to Earth.
The elevator doors opened.
At the door stood a blonde woman in a red hip dress waiting to greet me. The woman was extremely beautiful, with skin as fair as milk.
Especially her bust, which is so ample it's straining against her attire. Isn't she tired of carrying the twins around all day?
"Good afternoon, Miss Chloe. Mr. Monford is in his office. I'll take you there."
"Oh, my God."
She is so beautiful, and her voice is so beautiful
"Sorry to bother you."
I responded politely. Even though the blonde was perfectly disguised, I noticed her eyes blink a few times when she heard my polite reply.
But it was only for a moment, and she immediately regained her former grace.
"This way, please."
I followed the blonde to Monford's office door. When she knocked on the door, I heard the sound of fabric rustling.
A man in a black suit quickly rose from his chair, but the moment he saw me, the astonishment in his gray-blue pupils was about to overflow.
"Oh, uh, sorry... I thought President Meredith was coming out..."
"Not the president, the lady." I corrected him with a smile.
At the same time, my eyes were moving down uncontrollably. They widened as I took in his physique.
Oh! This physique, this perfect golden ratio.
I swear, this is the best-built body I've ever seen in my life!
Even with a layer of clothing, I can guarantee that the physique hidden under the suit is impressive.
Trying to contain the excitement in my voice, I asked for his name.
"I want to know your name."
"Er..."
The man looked at the blonde in a panic.
I moved closer to him, reached out, and stroked his cheek, turning his head toward me.
"Don't look at other women in front of me. You'll make me think I'm unattractive."
"Oh, sorry..."
The man took a quick step back, then held out his hand. "Aiden Belek."
"I want to be clear. It's not that I don't think you're attractive; it's that I believe asking for a name is something a man should do. You are the most beautiful woman I have ever met."
I held out my hand. As we shook hands, I felt the warmth of his body on my skin.
This man, even if he has a good body, possesses such a sexy hand.
As I shook hands, I locked eyes with Aiden, anticipating him to inquire about my name.
I couldn't discern whether he did it deliberately or was genuinely captivated by my charm. He maintained eye contact, but even as the blonde woman opened the door for me, he still refrained from asking my name.
What a tantalizingly unhurried man! I'm into it!
"Miss Chloe, you can go in now," the blonde woman spoke softly to me.
Aiden reacted quickly, and I strode into the office before he said anything. His voice was ruthlessly shut out.
I'm content with this little incident because it gives me something to talk about.
"Oh, Chloe, my most beautiful sister!"
Monford extended his arms for a hug, and I stood there with my arms outstretched, waiting for him to approach.
He embraced me so tightly that I felt like one more second in his arms, and I could have met my dear God.
"Now, Monford, let go of me. I can't breathe!"
"Sorry, I'm so excited. I didn't think you'd come to see me at work."
Monford took my hand and sat down on the sofa. He stared at me for a moment, and just as I was about to question him, he suddenly reached out and patted his on the forehead.
"My bad. I was so happy that I forgot to ask someone to get you something to drink."
Monford got up, walked to his desk, picked up the receiver, and called the blonde woman outside.
"Get me a cup of coffee and a cup of hot milk! Skim milk!"
I leaned back on the sofa and smiled with satisfaction.
"That's so sweet."
"Just being sweet to you."
My heart felt very warm but also a little regret.
If Monford isn't my brother, he must be on my list for a future husband.
It's quite unfortunate.
I found the abundance of pictures featuring me on the bookshelf behind Monford's desk.
I stood up and approached the row of bookshelves, appreciating each one in turn.
"Why are there so many pictures of me here?"
"Some were left by our grandfather, and others are part of my collection," Monford answered.
He approached me, picked up a picture, and showed it to me.
"This picture was taken when you graduated from high school. Your dress was custom-made by your grandmother, your necklace was a gift from your aunt, your shoes were from your father, and the flowers in your hand were personally arranged by Julia's."
"What about Grandpa? What gift did he give me?"
"A Porsche sports car."
"How about you?"
"I spent the summer in the sun with you, just to assist you in getting your driver's license."
"Haha, that's a truly meaningful gift."
I came across a photo of myself standing on the podium in a swimsuit.
I picked up the photo, my face displaying a perplexed expression.
