Doubt it

Hana still couldn't get over the fact that she was pregnant. Now she was restless, walking right and left while in her apartment room with Giselle.

"You must be pregnant with Ronald's child, Han. You can go to him and tell him this happy thing so that prayer doesn't get married to his girlfriend," Hana looked at Giselle with tears in her eyes, then looked away.

"But Giselle, I don't think this is Ronald's child," Giselle grabbed both of Hana's shoulders.

"Then whose child is it, Han?" Hama closed her eyelids until the tears she had been holding back fell as well.

"It's the son of a basketball superstar. Franz Miaco," Giselle's eyes widened instantly. The hands on the sides of her shoulders suddenly relaxed and let go.

"Oh my..." Giselle brushed her bangs back.

"Franz Miaco? He's..."

"I know, Giselle. Franz is going to marry his girlfriend Karina. But what about this child?" Hana stroked her flat stomach.

"The only way is for you to meet Franz and talk about this, Han."

"How can he and I meet, Gisell? I don't have his cell phone number or a wedding invitation,"

"During the Olympic basketball games, let's go there." As if on cue, Hana agreed to her best friend's idea.

_

The basketball Olympics had just finished. Franz was meeting Karina in the stands and drinking the mineral water his girlfriend had given him. But someone suddenly approached him, his coach.

"Franz, someone wants to talk to you."

"Who?" A girl came out of the coach's back with another girl behind her.

"Me."

"Oh... you, speak up." Hana handed over an envelope containing the doctor's letter at that time. Her eyes widened as she read to the end.

"What's wrong, dear?" Asked Karina, who also read the doctor's letter.

"You're... pregnant?" Hana nodded.

"Yes, and it's your child."

"What!" Everyone was shocked.

"How is that possible? It could be the child of any man you've slept with other than me!" Franz, who didn't accept this, began to speak in a high tone.

"No, I've never slept with anyone else after divorcing my ex-husband. So you can be sure that this is your child."

"No way? You guys..." Karina, who heard this, was in disbelief.

"Honey, I can explain..." Karina left the room quickly.

"If it really is my child, then prove it. If the baby is born and the DNA test reveals that it's mine, I'll marry you." With a heavy heart, Franz said that. Obviously, deep down, he still loved Karina very much. But circumstances forced him to marry another girl. Then Franz caught up with Karina outside the room.

"Honey, wait!"

"What do you want to explain, Franz? How could you do it with another woman," with tears in her eyes, Karina vented her emotions.

"I don't know, dear. I was drunk, I thought it was you who came to the hotel, but it was her. I didn't even recognize him and didn't know his name."

"So... you did it at the hotel," Franz nodded and embraced his kekaaoh, although in that embrace Karina continued to rebel.

"You're bad, Franz, you're bad!" Franz took all the punches from Karina.

"It's not necessarily true either, dear. It could be her child with her ex-husband. Let's wait until the child is born and get a DNA test."

"What for, Franz? You're going to cancel our wedding plans, huh?"

"I'm in a bad situation, darling. Even you saw for yourself, my coach was there. If this gets to the media, it could ruin my career as a basketball superstar. Please, you have to understand."

"So, what if it's your son, Franz?"

"Then I'll marry her,"

"You're evil, Franz!" Karina pushed Franz's broad chest.

"Calm down, Karina. Even if I marry her, I won't love her. My love is only for you, dear. I promise, even though I'm that girl's husband, our relationship will continue. Will you?" Franz stroked the cheek of Karina who was staring intently at the black eyes.

"Alright, but will my status always be girlfriend and not wife?"

"Of course not, dear. When the time is right, I will marry you too." Franz flashed his smiling smile, as did Karina who smiled behind the tears rolling down her cheeks.

.

9 months passed, Hana went into labor. As usual, her only companion was her best friend because she had no one. Her parents didn't know where she had gone because she had only lived in an orphanage since her tribe.

"Congratulations, it's a boy."

"Thank you, doctor."

"Han, it's time you told Franz, Han," baby Hana was being carried by Giselle.

"Yes, I'll tell him right away, Giselle."

.

They met at the famous cafe 'Heaven'. Hana and Giselle were already waiting for Franz's arrival. Not long after, a well-built man in a blue shirt with his arms bent at the elbows arrived with his girlfriend.

"You're here at last," Giselle said, starting the conversation.

"Where are the results? It can't be my son, right?" Hana immediately handed over the doctor's letter.

"Read it yourself." She said. Franz and Karima read the doctor's letter carefully. Their eyes widened at that.

"No! No way! You must have faked this to get my lover to marry you, right?" Karina was already very emotional because she had to let her boyfriend marry another woman. Hana could only shake her head slowly with tears slowly falling down her cheeks.

Franz also still couldn't believe that the child in Hana's arms was his. Instantly his hands clenched into fists. Hana only glanced at Karina without wanting to reply.

"Here I just want to ask about the promise that Franz told me when he found out that I was pregnant," then Hana paused her sentence. Making some people there curious about Hana's true intentions.

"Franz, for the sake of this child do you want to marry me?" Asked Hana with some hesitation seeing the reaction of Franz and his lover who seemed to disagree with Hana's decision.

"Wait, give me time to think about this. I can't decide now because a marriage is a sacred thing and not done carelessly. And in the media, I've already promised that I'll marry Karina. How can I marry you?" replied Franz in a soft tone. Karina was still confused by Franz's sudden change in attitude towards another girl.

"I'm sorry, it was a mistake. And if you don't want to marry me, I don't mind either. I can take care of this child myself, come on Giselle, let's go." I don't know where Hana got the thought to suddenly say that. She had resigned herself to this situation and invited Giselle to go home. Giselle immediately complied. But when she was about to leave, Franz held her hand.

"I'm sorry too, because that night, this innocent baby was present." Giselle and Hana smiled.

Franz's eyes lit up at the baby in Hana's arms who was also looking at him. He stroked the baby's head, then kissed his forehead. Sure enough, in his mind, the feeling of not wanting to leave instantly arose. But Karina's voice interrupted everything.

"Let's go Franz, don't ever touch a baby that doesn't belong to us!" She pulled Franz's hand away from the baby in Hana's arms who had begun to cry.

"Will Franz want to marry you?"

"I don't know, he has the right to choose. If he prefers his son, then he'll marry me. And vice versa, if he marries Karina, then this baby is nothing to him." Giselle gazed sadly at Hana after those mellow words were spoken on the girl's lips.
