Chapter 3: She's freaking back
Ellasandra's POV
I grinned and removed my sunglasses, gazing at the 35-storey Fairy Maiden Hotel. "Those two words are the meaning behind the name ELLA," I mused to myself, before turning to my nanny and suggesting that we stay at the hotel for a week while our mansion undergoes renovations.
I was relieved that he was still asleep. My nanny smiled and handed me our luggage, instructing me to speak with the receptionist while the bell boy took care of our belongings. As I looked around, I noticed some peculiar things, but it was the portrait behind the receptionist that truly caught my attention.
Approaching the receptionist, Miss Salve, I inquired about the portrait and she responded with a smile, expressing her admiration for it. "Hi, Miss Salve. Can I ask why this portrait is here? " I softly ask. She smiled and turns her body for about 180 degrees. I can see her admiration on it.
"The portrait had captivated other people not only just me. A billionaire offered a staggering two hundred and fifty million dollars for it, but the owner refused to sell. It was a portrait that his late wife had painted, and the hotel had been built in her honor," she murmurs.
I was taken aback. It seemed too much of a coincidence. I managed to force a smile and conceal my surprise. The hotel had been created for his late wife? Hah!
"Thank you for sharing that. Have a great day," I replied.
She smiled and nodded. I glanced at Vivian and we left the lobby. As soon as we entered the presidential suite, I couldn't help but notice some details. It felt like someone was watching me.
I placed my bag on the bed and Vivian took care of our belongings. I opened the sliding door to check the terrace and admire the city's beauty. It has been two years since that day.
"Ma'am Ellasandra, where should I put these?" Vivian asked. I turned around and pointed to the drawer on the right side of the bed.
The presidential suite consists of two rooms, with the other room being occupied by someone else. Additionally, there is a mini bar, living room, and kitchen. As I return, I need to prepare for upcoming life-changing events. I reach for my phone in my blazer and call my secretary.
"Hello Melody? Please send me all the files I need to review for tomorrow's lunch meeting with the investor. Also, if there are urgent papers that require my signature, come to Fairy Maiden Hotel on the 25th floor. I'm already here," I inform her. Leaning on the railings, I feel the cold breeze as winter approaches.
"No problem, ma'am Ella. I'll grab a few things and drop by before three in the afternoon," Melody responds.
After our conversation, I take a shower. Melody arrives at three, and we begin discussing the business proposal created by her team for tomorrow's meeting with billionaire tycoons from China. I am considering entering their market.
I am confident that my cosmetics products will meet the standards of the Chinese market due to their high-quality ingredients. Chinese people are known for creating makeup tutorial vlogs, making it a great market for Winters Cosmetics.
Over the past two years, I have focused on expanding the Group to different countries, resulting in a significant increase in my net worth, which now ranges from 10 to 27 billion dollars. I am pleased that our hard work has paid off, and WGC has been recognized as one of the healthiest workplaces with competitive salaries.
"Here are the documents you requested last week, ma'am Ellasandra," Melody remarked.
"I have made sure to include all the information you need. It's clear that money speaks louder to those people." As I opened the folder and saw the picture, I couldn't help but smirk.
After glancing at the photo, I muttered, "Well, well... what a shame. You're still the same," and tossed it onto the table before proceeding to read the documents.
During dinner, I invited Melody to join us. As we ate, I noticed that she recognized some similarities but seemed hesitant to speak. "I can't believe that even the interior were…" she paused.
After smiling and shrugging my shoulders, I watched as she chose to keep her thoughts to herself. Following dinner, I advised Vivian to return to our room first. Melody had already departed.
I made the decision to visit their bar and ordered two glasses of martini. The layout of the bar took me by surprise, as it brought back memories of my late father. Taking a seat at the bar counter, I placed my order.
"Here's your drink, ma'am. Enjoy," the bartender said.
I smiled and took a sip. Looking around, I was filled with a sense of warmth. Everything I saw in this hotel touched my heart. The martini had a slightly bitter taste but a sweet aftertaste. My brow furrowed as I noticed a couple at a nearby table. I chuckled softly, resting my elbow on the counter and leaning my face on my knuckles as I observed them.
"How lovely," I murmured to myself.
It was hard to believe that I would see her tonight with another man. I suppose a cheater will always be a cheater. Someone told me that she dumped my loving husband for another man and cheated on him multiple times during their four-year relationship, which began in college. I turn away and leave a $200 bill behind. I moved away and purposefully strolled around the corner, hoping to hear something.
"Are you certain he won't visit this hotel? I can deal with him, but how about you?" said the man. I hide in a particular corner and wait.
"Him? I don't mind. He was often complaining about how busy he was. He reminded me of the reason I left him three years ago."
That man chuckles. I walked again, this time purposefully bumping her head with my purse. Her drink has spilled on her. Even if she screamed, I didn't turn around. "Hey, you scumbag! Hey!" she yells. I simply laugh and exit the bar. She is entitled to more. She gives me a reason to go with my so-called mission-impossible plan.
"I'll make you pay like I promised, you bitch," I said quietly as I stepped into the elevator. I let out a deep sigh and felt exhausted from work, despite the fact that I was still jetlagged.
The following day, I dedicated my attention to the investor meeting, ensuring that we would win them over. They attentively listened as we addressed their inquiries regarding the product's feedback and its effectiveness for customers with sensitive skin issues.
Before departing the restaurant, we finalized a contract, paving the way for us to open stores in renowned malls across China in a month's time. Upon reaching our destination, I expressed my plans to Melody as we traveled, and she seemed to be in agreement.
"You should. After all, he deserves that," she remarked. Melody is not only my secretary but also a close confidante.
"We've arrived. Thank you for your hard work, Melody. This will greatly benefit our company's future. See you next week."
After that charming smile, she shuts the car door. I drove back to the hotel. I'm curious when we'll meet again. I can't help but wonder why he named the hotel after me. I have so many questions, but the most crucial one is. I'd like to see him again.
My name is Ella Myers, and I'm the woman who secretly marries a billionaire tycoon Rafael Midnight. I was forced to save his first love and kept hidden for seven months. No one, not even him, was aware of my true identity.
My real name is Ellasandra Winters, and I am a billionaire businesswoman who took over the Winters Group of Companies when I was 20 years old, when my father died of a heart attack.
"Wait for me, Rafael, and Ashley. I'm going to turn our world upside down. I'm back for revenge," I growled as I accelerated my car.
