Chapter 3

The sound of a man's voice startled me, causing my soul to momentarily separate from my body due to the sheer nervousness. However, as soon as I recognized the voice, a wave of excitement replaced my initial shock. Despite the darkness obscuring his face, I responded without hesitation.

"Sir William? Is that you?" I stammered, my voice trembling.

"What are you doing here at this hour? Are you planning to rob us?" he questioned.

"No, Sir. You've misunderstood," I replied, feeling bewildered.

"I am incredibly thirsty. There is no drinkable water in my room," I explained.

He approached me, and in that moment, I beheld the breathtaking beauty of his face. I couldn't help but be captivated by its perfection, my gaze fixated upon him.

For a brief moment, we locked eyes, and I found myself utterly mesmerized by his gaze. Even though his expression was stern, it did nothing to diminish the allure of his face.

"Do you not realize that it is forbidden to venture down here at night?!" he asked, his brow furrowed.

I needed to find a way to answer his question. Bowing my head, I offered my sincerest apologies.

"I apologize, sir. I was simply overcome with thirst and sought water to quench it," I pleaded.

But why does he remain so handsome, even when he's angry?

"You truly are a fool!" he exclaimed firmly.

"Sir, I am merely a human in need of water," I insisted.

"That is no longer my concern. It would be wise to abide by the rules, or face the consequences!" he declared arrogantly.

His treatment of me wounded me deeply. I never expected him to possess such arrogance. The admiration I once held for him upon our first meeting had now transformed into disgust.

Once again, I lowered my head and offered my apologies. I knew I had no grounds to stand against him, as my father owed his father a great deal. Reluctantly, I followed him as he ascended the stairs.

"It's a shame that someone as handsome as you can be so rude and arrogant," I murmured, sighing.

"What did you say?" he demanded, his expression contorted in a frown.

I was taken aback by his response. My words had been as soft as a whisper. How did he manage to hear them?

"N-Nothing, Sir. I meant that it won't happen again," I attempted to smile.

"Good morning, Zeus. My sleep was quite peaceful, thank you," I replied with a smile, trying my best to maintain a polite demeanor.

As we got into the car, I couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation. Where could Sir Conrad possibly be taking me? The thought lingered in my mind as we drove through the bustling city streets.

After what felt like an eternity, we finally arrived at our destination. It was a quaint little café tucked away in a quiet corner of the city. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the air, instantly awakening my senses.

Sir Conrad led me inside, and we found a cozy spot near the window. The sunlight streamed in, casting a warm glow on our surroundings. I couldn't help but feel a sense of comfort in this serene atmosphere.

As we sat down, Sir Conrad ordered two cups of coffee. The waiter brought them over, and the steam rising from the cups was mesmerizing. I took a sip, savoring the rich flavor that danced on my tongue.

Sir Conrad looked at me intently, his eyes filled with a mixture of curiosity and concern. "Amarah, I wanted to talk to you about something important," he said, his voice gentle yet firm.

I nodded, my heart pounding with anticipation. What could he possibly want to discuss? I braced myself for whatever was to come.

"You see, Amarah, I've been observing you closely these past few days," Sir Conrad began, his gaze unwavering. "And I must say, I am impressed by your resilience and determination."

A wave of relief washed over me. I had feared that he would reprimand me for my mistakes, but instead, he seemed to acknowledge my efforts.

"I believe in second chances, Amarah," he continued, his voice filled with sincerity. "And I want to offer you another opportunity to prove yourself. I see great potential in you, and I believe that you can rise above any challenges that come your way."

Tears welled up in my eyes as his words sank in. It was a rare moment of validation and encouragement that I had longed for. I couldn't help but feel a renewed sense of hope.

"Thank you, Sir Conrad," I whispered, my voice filled with gratitude. "I won't let you down. I'll give it my all."

He smiled warmly, his eyes reflecting a genuine sense of pride. "I know you will, Amarah. Now, let's enjoy our coffee and embrace the possibilities.

"Great," I responded curtly.

"It would be even better if you joined me. We'll have an amazing time," he said, his smile widening.

"Amarah, get in the car now," Sir Conrad commanded.

Without hesitation, I quickly entered the car and apologized to Sir Conrad.

I saw him shaking his head, and I held my breath, refraining from saying anything until I realized I had dozed off during the journey.

"Amarah, wake up!"

I woke up and swiftly exited the car. I fixed my hair and followed him into the Mall.

"What are we doing here, Sir Conrad?" I inquired.

However, I received no response from him. Silently, I continued to follow him.

"What could we possibly be doing here? Is he going shopping?" I pondered to myself.

We entered a Salon, where we were greeted by a flamboyant man. He had a fair complexion and long, blonde hair. This man was undeniably attractive, and the only thing missing was breasts to complete his feminine appearance.

But wait, why are we here?

"Sir, you have a beautiful daughter. How can I assist you?" the man asked, his smile beaming.

"Make her flawless!" Sir Conrad declared.

"She's already flawless, but let me work my magic," the man smiled.

I was taken aback by his words, wondering how I could possibly be considered flawless. It seemed unlikely, and I questioned why he was doing this for me. I had believed that I was merely a pawn in my father's debt, destined for misery. So why did he see me as a princess?

With no other choice, I complied with his every request, allowing the man to do as he pleased. He cut my hair and styled the ends into beautiful curls. I closed my eyes, trying to relax as he worked his makeover magic on me.

When I finally opened my eyes and looked into the mirror, I was astounded by the transformation in my appearance.

"What do you think?" the man asked, his smile still present.

"Wow, I'm at a loss for words. Is that really me?" I asked, unable to believe my eyes.

"Yes, it is. You are the most stunning woman I have ever laid eyes on," he complimented.

"You're quite the charmer," I playfully responded with a smile.

"Seriously, any gay man would turn straight for you," he replied.

"Oh, so you already have a preference?" I playfully teased.

"Maybe, but I still have a thing for guys. What about you?" he replied with a grin.

"I was just kidding, my friend!" I chuckled.

"You're hilarious, and absolutely stunning!" he responded, his smile widening.

I couldn't help but smile at the reaction of this charming man. I couldn't wait to go home and show William my new look.

I wore a gorgeous white dress and paired it with stunning red shoes. I twirled around, feeling a surge of confidence in that moment.

As I left the salon, Sir Conrad's eyes widened in amazement. He broke into a smile and even applauded.

"Absolutely perfect!" he exclaimed, his eyes fixed on me.

Was this real? Or was I just dreaming?

We left the salon and headed to women's fashion stores. He insisted that I choose whatever clothes I desired, and I didn't miss this opportunity.

"Thank you so much, Sir," I expressed my gratitude with a smile.

"You're welcome. I want you to make a good impression on my sons, especially William," he replied.

I was taken aback when he mentioned William. It must have dawned on him that William had no interest in me.

"Why is William like that? I mean, he's so different from Zeus," I curiously asked.

But he didn't answer my question and continued walking. We entered an upscale restaurant and were seated at a lovely table. He called the waiter, and we placed our orders.

As we waited, there was a brief moment of silence between us. I glanced around the restaurant, taking in the elegant ambiance. Suddenly, he spoke my name, causing me to look at him. And I was taken aback by the question that followed.

"Between the two, Amarah, who do you prefer?
