Shock After Shock
William ran wildly through the woods. He was constantly using the foot technique. His speed could surpass a normal bronze-level person right now!
For a six-day period to be enough for him, he had to reveal his whole being.
He could not see any of the wolves on his journey up to the Worm Mountains. Desperate, all he could do was wait at the bottom of the worm mountains.
His ears were listening, ready to hear everything.
About half an hour later, he heard a howling west of the worm mountains. It wasn't the voice of the sneaky bastard, but a wolf was definitely in his pack.
He rushed towards the howl extremely quickly. He was more agile than a monkey, faster than a dog. After a while, he heard the sneaky bastard howling too. His voice sounded pathetic. Thoughts sprouted in his mind that he should return, but he chose to continue anyway.
When he came to a large area, he saw more than thirty wolves waiting patiently in front of another wolf, including the sneaky bastard.
The little wolf noticed him coming, but he lowered his head and remained silent. William was frozen right now!
His body remained in a jumping position at the top of the tree, unable to move.
Because the wolf opposite the little wolf was a silver rank wolf! The pressure was so frightening that William didn't dare move a single hair.
The silver rank wolf was looking at William with its calm eyes. He felt glad to see his scared and helpless face. Then he growled at the little wolf.
The little wolf muttered something to him in response, still with his head down. He was like a child who was scolded by his elder. He didn't dare to speak to him.
After they had finished speaking, the little wolf signaled for William to come.
William finally relaxed. He even thought that the silver-level wolf might mistake him for a foreigner and eat him on the spot. He was constantly making plans to escape, but it always ended in despair.
He walked in front of the wolf, looking as calm as he could. The size of this wolf was gigantic. It was as if there was a two-story house in front of him. The age of the silver rank wolf was a little high. The fur of the silver fur had grown too long in many places and had turned white. His ears were not fully erect like young wolves, but that didn't mean he was weak! It was a real silver level.
He stared at the skinny person in front of him in silence for a few moments. Then he walked around him, sniffing lightly. He turned his head straight in front of him and glared at him fiercely.
William felt he was going to pee under him. It felt so terrible. He felt that the silver wolf wouldn't hurt him, maybe even sniff him as a guardian, but it still didn't change the fact that he was a silver rank creature in front of him.
After enduring his angry gaze for a while, the big one turned to the little wolf and muttered something. The little wolf nodded and pointed at William. He seemed to confirm something.
William didn't know what they were talking about, but he felt it wouldn't be a bad thing. Maybe what he did with the blood caught their attention. That was the first thought that came to mind.
What the silver level wolf did afterward caused him to send his shit back in the mouth of the hole.
The wolf opened its mouth and made a biting motion as if it would swallow him up in one blow. William felt the desperation in his bones. But the live beating scene he expected did not happen. The silver rank wolf gently picked it up with its mouth and threw it on one of the other wolves. William landed on the wolf, like a statue. He stiffened as his feet landed on the wolf's waist. The wolf he rode was the bronze-level one. He had helped her before but had never stepped on her before. She growled softly when she saw William land on her. She wasn't at all happy about this situation, but she couldn't say anything to the silver-ranked wolf. Only in silence could she carry William.
Then the silver rank wolf let out a loud howl. William felt his ears were going to go crazy. All the wolves howled with him and mobilized their bloodline power. They started running in the forest. William did not know where he was being taken. Even if he knew, he had neither the strength nor the confidence to escape. He would just quietly do as they asked.
On the wolf, he was constantly cursing himself inside. All he wanted was a little blood on the deal. Now he was kidnapped. He was constantly praying. He would tell them where they had arrived that he had to return before six days. He was sure that the wolves would sympathize with him.
They swiftly passed through valleys, great hills, and the banks of various rivers and lakes. The voyage that he could never complete on his own in a week had been passed in half a day for the wolves. He could have gone himself, but not so quickly as he would have to be constantly alert in the forest. That was the advantage of a flock!
He jotted down the sights he saw in his memory. This would make it easy for him to find this place when he needed something and asked the wolves for help.
At last, they came to a great valley. The length of the two mountains exceeded a thousand meters. The surface of the mountains was filled with caves of various sizes. As William could see, parts of the mountain felt different. When he looked to one side, he could feel the crazy winds blowing, when he looked to the other side, he could feel the muffled roaring sky, and when he looked to one side, he could feel the violence of a volcano. It was like a living space on its own.
After a pause, the silver rank wolf continued to run to where the winds were blowing wildly.
They came to a large cave. The silver rank wolf let out a faint howl. After a while, two silver-level wolves appeared at the entrance of the cave. Their size was even larger than the one that brought him here! He guessed that they must be at the top of the silver level.
They howled and snarled at each other for a while, finally, the two old wolves seemed to confirm what they were saying. They crossed over and lay on the edge of the entrance. They both looked at William intently. William was more relaxed now. Even though he was afraid of them, he managed to remain calm. The previous fear and inactivity were gone.
The silver-level wolf, William, and the wolf he was riding on, and finally the sneaky little wolf, the four of them entered the cave.
The cave was not as dark as he had expected. Various luminous plants along the edges resembled the entrance to a palace, with glowing stones on the ceiling. After a while, they came to a wide clearing. It was dark ahead. They waited patiently.
After a while, two eyes opened in the darkness.
Seeing the two big forest green eyes, William felt like he was going to have a heart attack. Then the wolf, the owner of the big eye, obviously stood up in the dark. His eyes almost reached the ceiling. William could feel it slowly approaching. Constantly on his mind, 'Now I'm fucked!' thoughts were passing. The wolf was walking slowly into the light-filled hall. Every step he took made sounds as if an elephant weighing a ton was walking. He was nothing compared to the footsteps he had encountered before, but still, being this close, he lost nothing of his majesty.
The wolf slowly began to appear in the lighted hall. First the face, then the body, and finally the tail.
He couldn't help but be surprised to see the wolf's head. This wolf was very old! His mustache, even all the hair on his body, reached the ground. He had a scar all over his head. Even this creature's scar was the size of a house. The wolf got closer and lowered his eyes at William as if he were a sightless man. He could have sworn it was the scariest moment of his life. It was as if he was standing in the eyes of a dragon in the movies he watched. It wasn't a dragon, maybe, but for now, it was scarier than a dragon.
The wolf blinked a few times and looked intently at William, then looked up. He took a few steps back and sat down.
Then his lips began to move.
“Human…Why are you still on my granddaughter?” said.
An egg could have been inserted into William's mouth right now. Had this creature just spoken to him?
Wolf saw that he was still standing still, bewildered. Then he spoke again, but this time he was speaking from his soul.
“Didn't you hear what I said?!”
William felt that voice directly in his brain. It was so painful that he fell on the Wolf and began to writhe on the ground. At the same time, he tried to shout.
"I..he...ard. I'm sort..ry! Please, speak normally!” said.
Wolf finally relaxed. Why did they bring this disrespectful person here? They hadn't told him anything. He felt that he was not respected as their eldest elder, but he did nothing.
William regained consciousness after a while and the pain was gone. He didn't know how the wolf did it, but he hated it. For a moment, he even felt that his soul was going to disperse and reach eternity.
He quickly recovered and stood up. He quickly took a few steps forward and bowed like a noble.
“Sir, I am William.” Then he pointed to the little wolf. “We are considered friends, we trade with each other.” Said.
Kurt looked a little taken aback. "What kind of trade?" he asked.
William didn't know how to explain it, but he still had to try.
“Sir…Um…Well…” He pointed at the bronze wolf. “I beat him in exchange for some herbs.” Said.
The wolf was confused. He turned and looked at the little wolf. The little wolf immediately muttered something with his head down.
"Hmm is that so? Look at this job. heheh. Boy, I must say that you are very lucky as a person. They like you and they say you're different from other people."
William was going to thank him, but the wolf kept talking.
“So what is that blood business? Can you extract bloodline power?”
William was surprised. He immediately cursed at the little wolf in his mind. 'The snitch bastard!'
Still, he had to answer. Even if they released him right now, he wouldn't be able to come back.
"Yes sir. We made a deal with the little one!” he said, puffing up his chest. He then began to explain the details.
“There is a technique that only I know of. In this way, I can squeeze blood and obtain bloodline power. The agreement with the little wolf, that I first take enough for myself and then give it to him.” Said.
“Hmmmm.” Wolf nodded in understanding.
“Actually, this brat's bloodline is already pure enough. Look, isn't he extremely smart?"
William rolled his eyes. “Yes, extremely intelligent.” Said.
The wolf grinned mischievously on his old face. Now he was just like the sneaky bastard. He finally understood where he had learned that smile from.
“I want to make a deal with you personally.” Said.
“What deal?” William was both a little curious and worried. 'You will work for your life.' He was afraid he would say something like that. Unknowingly, it showed on his face.
“Don't worry, we wouldn't betray our friend. This time I want to make a deal for myself. You may not realize it, but I'm at the peak of gold and my bloodline isn't strong enough to thrive.” Said.
"If that's your concern, I have the solution!" said William. By banging his fist on his chest.
“Good, in return, I will let you into the spring.” Said.
“Spring?” William was taken aback. He had never expected that spring could be so valuable.
"What's the use?" he asked.
“Don't you know what Spring means?” Then something seemed to come to mind. "Ah! Aren't people weak? It is normal not to have a spring.” After a slight sigh, he continued speaking.
“Springs are places formed by the power of nature. Its name is actually the 'Soul Spring'. It contains tremendous spiritual power and is extremely pure. Even soul stones remain like dirty toys next to you.” Said.
"If you complete the deal, I'll let you stay inside for a month." Said.
William didn't know how much a month was worth, of course, but he could guess. When he said 'one month', the wolf's liver felt like it was on fire.
"Okay, if you say so, I'll accept it."
“Don't worry. We are not liars like humans. Whatever comes out of our mouth is the right word.” Said.
William nodded in understanding. He didn't want to make him angry.
“Now go and do your business. Also, never show this technique to anyone! Even to the likes of us!” said.
William was moved. He almost had tears in his eyes. Had this wolf not been a gigantic creature, he would certainly have felt like an old uncle thinking of him.
"Ok." Said. Then he left on foot with the other wolves.
After they were gone, the old wolf returned to the darkness. He lay down and spoke while closing his eyes.
“Just wait, when I level up soon, I will greet you!” he muttered.
Then he disappeared into the dark.
