Chapter 16; He leaned back against the headboard lazily...
Even though Zhao Ming tried to tone down her voice and sound soft, Wang Qing felt strange, her voice sounded so unnatural, and she could feel her daughter was hiding something.
"Ming Ming, is everything all right?" She inquired once more.
"Yes I'm fine mommy, I will be down in a moment," She brushed her off.
"Okay, don't rush it, you can take your time." Wang Qing said politely as she returned to her room.
She slumped down on her bed, calming herself down, as she heard the footsteps fading away down the corridor.
She started cleaning up the mess because she didn't want anyone to find out, she finished up and took her phone to see whether the friend request she had sent was accepted.
She sat down on the bed and began going through her phone; when she realized the friend request had not been responded to, she threw the phone onto the bed.
She stepped into her closet and began rummaging through it, looking for a lovely beautiful dress to wear.
When she arrived at her bedroom, she looked around, but saw no sign of her husband; curiously, still, in her sleeping robes, she went down to the entrance door and found the gate guard.
"Did my husband return last night?" She inquired.
" No madam.. he did not." The guard politely responded.
"All right..." She entered back into the house and went straight to her bedroom, she began cleaning herself up.
In the Hong Mansion, Hong Ling got up early and went down to the gym room, after working out for an hour, it was already 7 am.
He returned to his bedroom and discovered that his wife was still sleeping; he freshened up, dressed in a dark blue-white striped suit, and his Martin Boots leather shoes, which he matched perfectly with a black shirt.
He combed his hair backward, carried his tie, and walked out of the closet, his wife was still sleeping, and he grabbed his wallet, watch, and phone.
He left the bedroom, closed the door behind him, and descended the stairs to the dining room.
When Ma Yu Xi'an heard the door closing, she sat up straight and tears streamed down her cheeks.
Her eyes were red, puffy, and swollen from all the cries, she had expected him to approach her and apologize.
She couldn't describe the kind of pain and sadness she was experiencing; it left a sour taste in her mouth.
She cried silently, as she raised her knees and rested her head on them while her hands wrapped around the legs, curled up.
When he arrived at the dining room, he found his father having his breakfast.
"Good morning Dad" he greeted him politely as he sat down next to him.
" Good Morning my son." He returned the greetings.
The maid served Hong Ling some breakfast as he began eating. But he felt a piercing gaze directed at him.
He turned around to look at his father, "what?" He cocked his eyebrow.
"Did you quarrel with your wife?" He inquired, gazing at him concerned.
" Nothing major, she should deal with her attitude and fix it." Hong Ling asserted coldly.
" Do you know Hong Feng sneaked out and hasn't returned up to now?" He queried him.
" He is a teenager already; he knows what he is doing; when he returns home, discipline him according to family rules. I will be busy in the office." Hong Ling said.
" But isn't today Saturday?" Old Master Hong inquired, curiously.
" Yeah it's.... but that doesn't mean I don't have any work to do." He kept eating his breakfast. Old Master Hong just shook his head.
In the Imperial Hotel Presidential suite, It was already 8 am, he took his final sprint and let her rest.
Having had his fill, he leaned back against the headboard lazily staring at the exhausted woman laying down there motionless. He smiled evilly as he wolfed down a huge junk of food, just acting like a cat that has been well-fed with milk.
He wrapped the lower part of the body with a towel as he walked to the balcony with his phone, he dialed his bodyguard's number.
"Hello Master" the bodyguard answered the call after seeing it was his boss calling.
"Ling Huang... I would want you to get me a new set of suits from the nearby shopping mall around here and also a dress, just bring in all the necessary stuff, wait until I tell you to bring them up." He explained as he hung up the call.
He returned to the bed, and hugged her in his arms, her soft and frail body, raising his manly protection.
He had just closed his eyes when his phone vibrated; he took it up from the bedside drawer and saw it was his wife.
"Hello, wife... Good morning." He answered the call politely.
" Hello honey, you didn't come back home last night, are you okay?" She said softly, she had just finished dressing herself up when she decided to call her husband.
"Ohh I was tired and exhausted so I slept in a hotel in town C where I was inspecting the company projects." He politely responded.
"Ohh all right, I can tell you are tired and exhausted from your voice; get some rest, and don't overwork yourself." She advised him politely.
" Alright wife, I will give you a call when am back." He replied as the call ended.
Zhao Kang kissed Wu Xie's cheek lightly as he closed his eyes to rest, he hadn't slept a wink.
Wang Qing looked at the screen that had turned black and frowned lightly, she wore her shoes and carried her purse.
She descended the stairs to the corridor and walked towards the dining room.
