Meet Dave
Arthur was stunned for a moment and seemed to be thinking. "My body is so poor right now, it's better to increase the strength points."
After choosing one of the options, the surrounding atmosphere seemed to stop for a while.
"Your strength points have increased to 2000 points. You are entitled to an additional bonus of increased stamina."
A light shone all over Arthur's body and in that instant he felt his body become fitter.
'NOTE TO SYSTEM USERS: DO PHYSICAL EXERCISE EVERY DAY TO MAINTAIN YOUR STAMINA.'
Arthur agreed to the system's note and his surroundings immediately returned to normal.
"If you'll excuse me," Arthur said as he left Eve's presence.
Arthur arrived at his hotel room and immediately cleaned up. He felt his body was much more normal, almost like his original body. All this time, despite being busy, Arthur had always kept himself in shape by doing regular physical exercise and paying attention to the nutritional intake of the food he consumed. You could say that Arthur is a healthy living practitioner. But it seems that his current body is not that healthy. So even though it's not a mission from the system, he has to work hard to maintain health in his current body. Of course for the sake of his original purpose of being here.
A few moments later, Arthur came out of the bathroom still wearing his bathrobe. While drying his hair using a small towel, Arthur checked his laptop and cell phone, finding out what schedule Arthur Wang had to do in the city of Arshen.
"Meeting with some clients to talk about some projects, huh?" Arthur muttered to himself. He suddenly remembered that Great Food Company, his company that had been taken over by Dave, was currently planning to build a new factory. However, so far it had yet to find the right construction company to partner with.
"Yes, that's it!" Arthur seemed to have found a way to get back in touch with the Great Food Company. The man then left with a more energized look on his face.
Arthur prepared the clothes he would wear for dinner with Eve later. Although he was very sick of seeing the girl's face, but this time he had to act well because he had a plan in his head.
"Alright, let's start the show." Arthur went back to monologuing with himself.
The promised time for dinner arrived. Arthur went first to the restaurant of the hotel where he was staying, and chose a table that was a bit private. He also asked a waiter to guide Eve to his table when she arrived.
After a while, the girl did arrive. But she was not alone, but with Dave.
Arthur unconsciously smiled mockingly when he saw the two people. Now they didn't even hesitate to hold hands, even though the news of Arthur Greens mysterious disappearance was still being talked about.
"Sorry to keep you waiting, sir." Eve immediately greeted Arthur.
No problem. I just arrived." Arthur replied casually. He tried to act casual even though he wanted to grab Dave's neck who was currently embracing Eve's waist intimately.
"Introducing, this is my fiancé, Dave Greens." Eve introduced Dave to Arthur.
Arthur almost burst out laughing when he heard Eve refer to Dave as her fiancé. He really didn't expect her to be so shameless.
"Ah, I almost forgot. We haven't introduced ourselves either, right? I'm Evelyn Blooming." Eve offered her hand.
Arthur stared at the hand for a moment, then took it and shook hands.
"My name is Arthur." Arthur introduced himself with a rather mysterious smile.
Eve seemed to widen her eyes slightly at Arthur's name. She hurriedly retracted her hand in a somewhat misguided manner. The look on Dave's face was equally surprised.
"Arthur Wang," repeated Arthur again as he took out his business card, which he gave to Eve.
Eve accepted the business card with some hesitation, then read it carefully. She slowly mastered her awkward attitude.
"You're from overseas apparently," Eve said then. It was obvious that the girl breathed a sigh of relief.
Once again an asymmetrical smile was etched on Arthur's lips. Just seeing Eve and Dave's anxiety was very enjoyable. It seemed that the future would be even more exciting.
"Nice to meet you, Ms. Blooming. Nice to meet you too, Mr. Greens. Please have a seat." Arthur invited Eve and Dave to sit down.
"Thank you." The two replied almost simultaneously, then sat down opposite Arthur.
Arthur called the waiter and ordered the food, then he invited Dave and Eve to order as well.
"I should be hosting Mr. Wang, but instead it seems like Mr. Wang is hosting me and my fiancé." Eve said in an apologetic tone.
"No problem, Miss. Think of it as my introduction to Mr. Greens," Arthur said as he looked at Dave. Once again Arthur showed a mysterious smile.
Dave himself was a little stunned. The look in Arthur's eyes made him feel Dejavu, as if he had seen it many times.
"By the way, Mr. Greens is from Great Food Company, right?" Arthur started fishing.
Dave was a little taken aback, but then got a hold of himself as quickly as possible.
"Right, I'm from Great Food Company." He replied while adjusting his posture to look more modest.
"I read some articles about Great Food Company in the online media these days. Is all that true?" Arthur asked.
Dave was silent for a moment and began to feel uncomfortable. In fact, when the police asked him for information alone, he could provide a plausible alibi and could avoid all accusations. But why did he feel intimidated now just because of a trivial question he heard from a stranger?
"Yes, my brother did suddenly disappear after leaving a will. Right now, you're trying your best to find him, but it seems like he's determined not to be found by anyone else." Dave finally made an alibi while putting on a sad and concerned face.
Arthur chuckled inwardly at Dave's convincing acting. He had known for a long time that his half-brother was a cunning and deceitful person, but he was good with words.
"I'm sorry to hear that. I hope you get clarity on your brother's whereabouts soon." Arthur responded.
"Thank you. I hope so too. Many people are saddened by this unexpected incident. We all hope that everything will turn out alright. My brother is also hopefully in good health, wherever he is now."
Again Arthur couldn't help but laugh at Dave's sad words. It was a pity that his half-brother didn't become an actor, even though his acting skills were impeccable.
"Could it all be someone's evil plan?" Arthur then pretended to guess while wearing a questioning expression.
