Chapter 3
Chapter 3
Zade
The minute she stepped in with the red dress, I knew giving sunfield pack a chance wasn’t a mistake.
Of course it was a dumb pack filled with dumb people. My mother did know how to hide things.
And the minute our eyes met, I knew I was going to have to stop myself from taking her right here and now in front of Sunfield citizen’s innocent eyes. My men have seen more than enough.
My lycan wanted to force her to accept us so that the curse could be broken, and to be honest, I did too. Being cursed for over a thousand years, and finally seeing the key to all your troubles twist her hips for you, oblivious for how long I toiled the earth searching for her.
How many people I’ve killed, how many people have died because I was searching my mate, the woman to break the thousand years old curse my mother foolishly put on me.
Selene, moon goddess. What a fucking joke of a mother.
I growled to myself, not wanting to resurrect old memories.
My mate couldn’t stop looking at me, her seductive eyes and body causing my dick to harden worse than every other person I’ve ever been with, and I was going crazy with need.
The need to mate her, mark her, make her mine and worship her.
My queen.
“Bring her here.”
Hunter understood Immediately, and in no time, my mate was beneath me as I showed her how much she has punished me.
Being in her solidified the fact I already knew.
She was the key. The Queen of the Lycan god, the cursed bastard Child of Selene and Hades.
As I watched her sleep, I realized she had no idea what she has just gotten into, and I was never going to let her go.
Even if she screamed she hated me in my face. She was mine.
I had to hide her. Being alive for a thousand years was sure to get you enemies, and mine wanted nothing more than to bring suffering to me, but I’d rather die than allow that.
And I’m immortal.
At least, until the curse is broken.
And my mate, I ran my hand through her silky soft brown hair. She had to accept me as her mate and complete the mating ceremony for that to work.
Judging from the bleeding nose of my guard, it would be harder than ever. She hated me, but it wouldn’t last long before she’s worshiping me.
And even if she proves stubborn, I can wait. I’ve been forced to learn patience along with all languages.
“Is she the one, your highness?” Hunter, my most trusted guard asked.
“She is.” I answered, “And I would love for that fact to stay within us.” I pinned them all with a stare, and the nodded quickly, knowing what I was capable of.
There were many ways to punish an immortal. They never die. It’s even more terrifying.
We reached my kingdom, a land away from all the wolves, my enemies, and fortified with magic.
Despite our peace treaty, some rogues love to prove they are not afraid of us and I’ve had enough of putting out fires in my palace.
As we stopped, I carried my bride into my palace, finally feeling victorious. This suffering would finally stop for my people and I.
And we would be able to finally live without feeling like monsters.
I placed her in my room, and watched her.
She was the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen, and I’ve seen a lot of women.
“You may hate me now, little wolf. But I would make you love me.” I whispered, placing a kiss on her lips.
She didn’t move, and I smiled, genuinely for the first time since I was banished from heaven.
My people would be surprised to see me for once not commanding them to be drowned, and actually smiling since the time we were all cursed.
Their queen is here, and she is here to stay.
I turned and left the room, and ordered for my two subjects to meet me in the throne room.
First entered Raymond, my first ever follower, and the first person to defend me when I was accused wrongly by my brothers. He was loyal to the core, and was the only one I allowed to raid my wine collection from time to time.
He smirked as he laid eyes on me. “You are in a good mood.” He noted as he took in the wine I’ve had for over a hundred years, opened and already put in three cups.
He ignored the cup I laid out for him, and took a swig of the bottle.
I rolled my eyes. I wonder why he hasn’t joined the others that I hate at the bottom of the ocean.
“I have good news, but we have to wait for Briana.” I took a sip of my wine and watched him squirm in anticipation and curiosity.
“That’s not fair, asswipe. Now I cannot sit still and the need to know is killing me.”
I smirked, resting back in my chair and reveling in his anger. “That’s what you get for goimg to the fucking human world when you know it’s against my rules.”
He sighed, and I saw a peak of the sadness I only saw when it had to do with one topic. Finding our mate.
“I just wanted to see if she would be in the human realm, you know? It’s almost a thousand years. I’m getting desperate.”
Part of the Lycan curse was also that our mates wouldn’t be able to recognize us, and they were impossible to find. That was one of the reasons Alexa hated me with passion.
She had no idea I was her mate.
“I want to say you would find someone, Ray. But I’m convinced you would die alone.”
The sadness in his eyes turned to mock anger.
“Fucking bastard. Find your own mate so I can at least die.”
Just at that moment, Briana stepped in and I smiled to myself, what great timing.
Briana was a witch, a special witch who I saved from a witch massacre, where her type of witches, the most powerful witches were being hunted by other witches who wanted her power.
They often aged slowly. I saved her since she was nine, and that was sixty years ago. She didn’t look a day over twenty five, and that helped her enchant her preys before she conquered them.
She was also loyal to a fault, and these two were my most trusted people to ever exist.
She plopped into a chair beside Ray, and Ray flinched. They hated each other. The reason was lost to me and I didn’t care as long as they were no fights during meetings like this.
“Who did you bring in?” She immediately asked, and my eye brow rose in slight surprise.
Ray’s brows furrowed. “He brought someone in?”
Briana rolled her eyes at Ray’s question.
“How did you know I brought someone in?” I asked, taking a sip of wine as Ray bit his lip, trying to control himself.
Briana folded her arms. “You are avoiding the question. And I have a mirror that watches the entrance to the kingdom.”
“Creep.” Ray said, concealing with a cough, and if Briana heard, she ignored him.
“You are right, I did bring someone in.” I admitted, and both their eyes stayed pinned on me.
Ray’s eyes widened and he flew out of his chair, while Briana’s narrowed, but she also flew out of her chair.
“Don’t fucking tell me.” Ray said, his eyes filled with hope. “You found her?”
I smiled, willingly, and it felt weird on my face I had to stop it.
Briana slammed a palm on the table, drawing our attention. “That’s a fake! That cannot be your mate!”
Ray rolled his eyes and a groan left his lips. “Ugh here we go.”
I sat up in my chair. “And why did you say that?”
She scoffed, folding her arms. “I checked the curse again and your mate is yet to be born.”
I shrugged. “Guess it was wrong then.”
She narrowed her eyes. “How would you know? It could be a fake! Maybe the people you’ve crossed are playing a prank on you.”
A smirk made its way to my lips. “That’s a lie. If it was fake, I would have felt it was the minute I thrusted into her.”
Briana flinched backwards, and shook her head. “That doesn’t mean anything-“ she began, but Ray cut her off.
“Finally! We fucking found her!”
Briana let out a groan of disgust as she stormed out of the room, but Ray’s excitement made me care less.
“But there’s a problem.” I cut in, stopping his victory dance.
He froze, and I could see the worry as he scampered to his seat. “Oh fuck. What’s the problem now.”
“She fucking hates me.”
Ray let out a laugh. “Then we have to fix her. Where is she now?”
“Locked up in my room.”
He groaned, shaking his head in disbelief. “That’s why she hates you. At this rate, she would never accept you and the curse would never be broken.”
But he was wrong. She would accept me. I would make it happen, even if it was the last thing I do.
