Chapter 2

Adara POV…

<Next day>

I woke up as early as possible in the morning and went directly to meet my uncle.

Knock on his door.

“Good morning," I greeted.

My uncle is already in his room waiting for me to wake up. He felt so eager to see me as I sat in his room.

“Good morning dear," he responded with anxiety on his face.

I bow down my head, looking so emotional, so sad that I couldn't look into his face. I could remember how he stood by my side right from the day of my parents’ death. My Uncle, Uncle Mike, was my father's dearest friend, one of his soldiers' colleagues during his days.

He moves closer to me and holds my hands.

“Dear, I can understand how you're feeling, but still, you have to take it easy. I would have stopped you from taking this path, but it seems like nothing I could say to stop you but to support you. I hope you find your peace soon,” Uncle Mike lamented.

“Thanks so much for everything, Uncle Mike," I greeted.

“You're welcome," he responded and paused for a while. “Follow me!” He altered.

I felt a little confused, wondering where we were heading; I stayed focused and followed him gently.

“There you go," he said as we got to an abandoned building. Some parts of the building had already collapsed.

“Do you know this place? " Uncle Mike asked as we stepped inside.

I became so thoughtful for a while, looking around the house.

“Yes, I remembered," I responded as the memories of the abandoned house flashed into my head. It was my home where my parents got killed. I felt so sad, and all I could think about at that moment was making myself at peace by avenging my parents’ death.

We walked in slowly and moved around the abandoned house. We walked up to the staircase in my father's room. Suddenly, I stepped on a plank and the plank carked.

“Wait!” I shouted.

Uncle Mike stopped walking immediately and asked. “What is it?” He questioned.

I looked so nervous, trying hard to explain what just happened.

“The planks,” I shouted.

Uncle Mike could feel it and the planks kept cracking.

“Just wait, dear, do not move,” he suggested.

A few minutes later, the planks broke and we both fell into a room, it was a room full of treasure. My father specially made the secret room, and he kept all the important tools, such as his armor, swords, map, and some other important documents. The exciting room left my uncle and me in amazement.

“Your father himself had led us to this room. This is a sign of God at your side," my uncle said.

I laughed and felt so excited about making it into the room. I quickly picked up a map that contained all the neighboring packs and compasses that would help me on my journey. I also picked a digger and my father's diary, which contained an act of war and the secret of assassination and power.

I checked the dairy and looked. Maybe I could find out about the symbol my father gave to me fifteen years ago. Just as expected, I found out that the symbol represents Rogues, which means these people are behind my parents’ assassination, but where could I find them? That's unknown to me.

I left the abandoned house with my uncle after picking up some important tools.

“I'm all set now, and I'd love to leave uncle," I explained, tears on my face.

My uncle moved closer to me and gave me a cool hug.

“Please stay safe and stay healthy until you come back,” he responded, feeling so sad.

“ I promise, uncle, I'll be back soon,” I concluded and turned my back to leave.

My uncle became so sad, but had no choice but to let go of me. He watches me leave and wave to me several times, calling out my name.

I continued my journey, passing through houses and cities until I was held to a destination that pulled me off the race. “Who are you, and where are you coming from?” I heard a voice coming from an unknown angle.

I pushed my journey immediately and brought out my digger, aiming at the illusion voices echoing ahead of me. “Who are you? Please show yourself!” I said, looking around thoughtfully.

Suddenly, a very tall, giant man came out ahead of me. I stood boldly where I was and stepped backward, preparing for what might happen next. “I said stop !” Another man's voice echoed from an unknown angle. I quickly turned back immediately and prepared to run, but I surrendered immediately as the unknown man surrounded me. Unexpectedly, I was hit from behind and I woke up in a dark room.

“Welcome back, lady!” An unknown voice screamed. I became speechless immediately and wondered where I was.

“Please, where am I? “ I asked out of confusion, wondering where my destiny had led me to.

“Welcome to my chamber,” a very thick voice echoed from an unknown angle. I became so scared immediately and wondered what might happen next.

I heard a thick voice so powerful; it sounded like a thunderstorm and I became so scared that my breath failed for some moment and all my body cells were half dead. I looked around to see where the voice was coming from with deep attention and phobia.

“Please, where am I? “ I asked again solemnly from one man who was at my back and waited for a response. I was so surprised by the unusual act I witnessed at that scene. Everyone was just staring at each other's faces like morons. I keep silent immediately and stay concerned, patiently waiting for my faith.

The fierce voice echoes again, speaking in an unknown language. Right after the loud voice stopped, a man approached and silently communicated with the people surrounding me.

A minute later, someone forced me to stand up from my seat and led me to another room. The room I entered had an ancient vibe, making it distinct from my previous surroundings. The room is such a big room decorated with gold and flowers. It was my first time seeing such a beautiful place, so I paid more attention to it.

As we were going further into the strange room, I noticed heavy steps and voices echoing through the wall. This voice was more powerful than those voices I had been hearing before, maybe because I had come so close to it. I pay less attention to the beauty of the room immediately and focus on finding the notorious voice that I have been longing to meet its owner.

As I was getting closer to the voice, I became more nervous in fear about the footsteps echoing. Suddenly, I began to feel some amazing scents that pleased my heart. The scent was so amazing that I forgot about all the stress and worries which I have been going through so far.
