Chapter 6 Were They Father and Son?

The more Nora thought about it, the more complicated things seemed. However, Thomas and the child's blood types were different, so they couldn't possibly be father and son.

"I feel so itchy; can't I scratch it?" Aaron couldn't help but ask.

Nora snapped back to reality. "No scratching. Hold on, I'll find a way to help you."

Aaron's thin lips were pressed tightly together, his fingers curling and uncurling, and he felt utterly miserable.

Between itching and pain, he would rather choose pain!

Nora brought over the medical kit, searching for allergy medicine, but couldn't find it after a long while.

Aaron looked at her cool demeanor and couldn't help but ask again, "Isn't there any other way to quickly relieve this itch?"

Nora sighed, "You really got me. Don't move; I'll rub it for you."

Aaron stayed still, watching as Nora unbuttoned his pajamas. Her small hands gently brushed over his skin. The unbearable itch was somewhat alleviated by Nora's touch.

Aaron took a deep breath and looked up at Nora. She had her head lowered, a strand of hair playfully swaying by her ear. Her exquisite face showed a hint of seriousness.

Aaron's gaze moved down to Nora's slender neck, which glowed softly under the light. In the quiet night, Nora's fragrance filled the air, assaulting his senses.

As Aaron looked at Nora, a scene from four years ago suddenly flashed in his mind. That night, the woman's hands were just as soft.

Aaron felt his mouth go dry, and the places where Nora had touched seemed to itch even more.

This itch was different from the allergic one; it was like a feather lightly brushing over his heart.

"Thomas, what are you thinking about?" Nora asked as she continued to rub him, gradually noticing Aaron's odd behavior.

A hint of embarrassment flashed in Aaron's deep eyes, but his face remained impassive. "You're a doctor; you should know that sometimes physiological reactions are beyond one's control."

Nora was stunned. She was trying to help Thomas feel better, but she had become the object of his imagination!

She quickly withdrew her hand and buttoned up Aaron's pajamas. "Thomas, since you got the allergy from eating the peanut cookies I gave you, I won't hold it against you. Otherwise, I'd definitely make you pay!"

Aaron looked at her now cold and pretty face, closed his eyes, and felt a wave of irritation. The itch returned, tormenting him once more.

Finally, Nora found the allergy medicine and gave it to him.

The next morning, birds chirped as if reminding everyone that a new day had begun.

Aaron woke up, moved his body, and found that the itch was gone, and the rash had subsided.

However, his lower body still had no sensation. This lack of control was truly maddening.

Aaron's face darkened, and he clenched his fists, hitting the side of the bed hard. The door opened, and Nora walked in.

"Getting angry so early in the morning? If you break my bed, how will you pay for it?"

Aaron, in a foul mood, said coldly, "Please treat me better, or you'll regret it."

Nora rolled her eyes, her face darkening. "Don't give me that attitude, or I'll make you regret it right now!"

Aaron's face turned as dark as ink, his sharp eyes glaring at Nora. But Nora wasn't afraid of him. "Do you want me to take care of you or not? If so, drop the attitude."

Aaron took a deep breath, closed his eyes, and barely suppressed his inner anger.

Being under someone else's roof, he had to endure!

Nora saw that Aaron had fallen silent and didn't make things difficult for him. "The wheelchair will arrive soon. It cost me quite a bit of money. You should be appreciated that I'm a kind-hearted person."

Hearing this, Aaron suddenly said, "I will repay you in the future." He had plenty of money if nothing else.

"You said it." Nora didn't take Aaron's words to heart. She tidied up a bit and then left the room.

Not long after, the door was pushed open again, and a small head peeked in. "Are you awake?"

It was Samantha.

"Good morning, Samantha." Aaron's expression softened involuntarily.

Samantha was wearing yellow cartoon pajamas, her hair unkempt, and she ran to the bedside in her little slippers. "Did you sleep well last night?"

Her sweet little voice made Aaron smile slightly. "It was okay."

Even though he hadn't slept well at all, seeing Samantha's smiling eyes, he wanted to make her happy.

"Your lips are so dry. Are you thirsty? I'll get you some water."

Seeing Aaron's dry lips, Samantha looked around and went to fetch the teacup placed nearby.

Aaron felt a warmth in his heart. "Thank you, Samantha. I'll drink it later."

"I'll help you drink."

At this moment, the door was pushed open, and Nora saw Samantha about to give Aaron water, feeling a bit speechless. "Samantha, why are you running around so early? Come here quickly."

Nora had never enjoyed such treatment herself!

"Mommy, the man is thirsty," Samantha said, blinking her big eyes.

"What if I am thirsty too?" Nora asked deliberately as she helped Aaron sit up.

Samantha thought for a moment, "I'll help him drink first, then I'll get water for Mommy!"

Nora was silent. Was Samantha really her biological daughter? She was siding with an outsider so quickly!

Meanwhile, Lucas and Becky were on their way to the suburbs. "Lucas, is it true that Nora and her three children are living at her grandmother's house now?" Becky asked.

"Yes," Lucas replied.

"What if she still refuses to divorce?"

Lucas's eyes flashed. "She won't."

"She better not." A cold glint appeared in Becky's eyes.

Soon, they arrived outside the small building where Nora lived.

They had arrived with a single purpose in mind: to find Nora. Their resolve was ironclad - they were determined to make her divorce Lucas, and it had to happen today!

At this moment, the wheelchair Nora had ordered for Aaron arrived. She had just assembled it and helped Aaron sit in it, pushing him out to the front yard for some fresh air.

Becky got out of the car and saw this scene from a distance. "Oh, why is there a disabled person at Nora's house? Is that her lover?"

Lucas also saw Aaron sitting in the wheelchair. However, he was outside the fence and couldn't see Aaron's face clearly. What was this man's relationship with Nora?

"Nora, open the door!" Lucas quickly pulled Becky along as they walked over.

Nora glanced at them from a distance and quickly recognized them. They had found her so soon.

"Nora, open the door. We need to talk about the divorce!" Lucas's voice was urgent and filled with pressure.
