Chapter 2. Special Guest
Sarah was still in disbelief as she observed a pink jacket—her favorite color—hanging on an iron rack. The girl had been staring at Rayen since she came up from sleep, and her memory seemed to return as he abruptly put on the jacket before saying anything else. "Choose comfy clothing the next time."
That made Sarah smile in private. Sarah did not believe that Rayen was secretly focusing on her, despite the fact that Rayen did not treat her with any warmth.
Sarah quickly brushed Rayen's proposal aside. As he talked, he gave a swift shake of his head. "No, not at all. Ignore Sis Rayen. Come on, Sar, concentrate on your studies! To locate your parents, you must achieve achievement." Sarah whispered to herself in a believable way.
Sarah did not care about her spouse at all from the beginning. To ensure that Sarah has a lot of money and is seeking for her parents, she only concentrates on obtaining the finest grades and realizing her aspirations.
The girl had been raised in an orphanage since childhood. Sarah's parents were unable to support her, according to the orphanage mother, who explained why she had to be placed there. The mother of the orphanage said that, should Sarah's financial circumstances improve, her mother had agreed to see her again. But up until now, Sarah has not met her parents.
Sarah is determined to succeed in order to locate her parents and be reunited with her family because she believes that their economic situation is still not better.
Call out to someone, "Sarah!" from a distance. The girl with hazel eyes turned to see Lucy sprinting in her direction. Sarah grinned as she went about her work at a starred hotel restaurant, wiping tables.
Among the numerous occupations available, Sarah might be among the fortunate ones. Sarah has just completed her high school education, yet she is qualified to work as a server and as a chef's assistant.
It so happened that the manager there was excellent friends with Lucy's parents. in order for Sarah to enter with ease. Of all, Sarah's aptitude for cooking has nothing to do with Lucy and her parents; she is a dedicated worker.
"You intend not to attend college? You are missing classes once more?"
With a laugh, Lucy flashed her straight teeth. Too awful, you know. The instructor is not showing up. It is preferable to eat here and eat rather than working on projects on school." Lucy gave her closest pal a hug.
Sarah grinned, realizing that her friend's preference for going out with her to restaurants was no longer strange. The girl actually spent a lot of money to eat there without hesitation. "All right, my friend, what would you want to order?" Sarah questioned in jest.
"Too bad," Lucy remarked, squeezing Sarah's irritation.
"And ice cream too, as always, okay?"
"Ice cream? Why is that? Do you not truly enjoy ice cream?
"In case it comes up. I have a lot of work ahead of me, but after eating some ice cream, my brain can cool down again if it gets too hot." Lucy looked as if she did not care about all the homework that was piling up on the table.
Sarah dismissed her friend's antics with books with a shake of her head and a smile. Sure, I will prepare it initially.
Lucy held Sarah back before she could take a step. Sarah asked, looking perplexed. "What is going on?"
"Tell me about your date yesterday when you are done with your work." Lucy rolled her eyes.
"Tell me all about your first date, please." Lucy lowered her eyebrows and grinned sensually.
"Yes, ma'am. Alright, now let me finish my work first."
Lucy gave a cheerful nod. "All OK, I will wait." After giving Lucy a small nod, Sarah moved away and Lucy took a seat in one of the chairs.
Even though a week has gone by, Sarah can still clearly recall her first date. It was an unforgettable night, filled with memories of Rayen's face, voice, and attentiveness despite his icy demeanor.
Sarah can smile all by herself when she thinks back on these memories. Sarah's two-wheeled vehicle entered the orphanage's yard that evening, and remarkably, at 21.00 WIT, there were still individuals giving up their fortune. Two automobiles were parked in the orphanage courtyard, and a number of men in uniform were standing by.
Sarah murmured, "Rich folks only want to donate and have to be regulated."
Sarah grinned at them and the girl went inside, but before she could set foot on the terrace, Sister Yuni, the mother of the orphanage's helper, ran to greet her.
"You finally made it too,"
"Sis, what is wrong?" Sarah enquired, perplexed
"There are visitors within. They are trying to find you," Mbak Yuni remarked.
"Who is looking for me, Sis?"
"I am not sure, hurry inside. "They have been waiting for about an hour," Sis. Yuni added as she took Sarah's hand.
Sarah answered, "Yes, Sis."
Sarah thought to herself in a monologue, "At least Lucy was the one visiting, but since when did the youngster bring a bodyguard." Sarah silently pondered.
Sarah entered the living room and was taken aback to see two persons seated in seats. He would known one of the men so well, his face was barely a memory. The abrupt appearance of Rayen and her grandfather still left the girl in disbelief.
With a sense of shock akin to a dream, Sarah took a slow seat in the chair beside Mrs. Panti. Grandpa Rayen's words, which caused the girl to gape in amazement, startled her a second time, the elderly man remarked, and her shock had not yet subsided.
"Grandpa came here to ask you to marry him as my grandson... Rayen," Sarah was still in disbelief.
The girl gasped for a brief second before attempting to calm herself by stammering. "Grandpa, you had to be kidding, right?"
Granny grinned and said it again. "Rayen's marriage to you should happen as soon as feasible, Sarah Grandpa."
