Chapter 7: Family History
Tricia’s POV
“So, do we have any idea who this ‘K’ person is?” Justin asked in a shaky voice.
“I may be able to figure it out, but it’s going to depend on what is in mine and my mother’s files. I don’t think this has anything to do with my father since I have already looked through it.” I told him as we walked back to the house.
Taylor went to the main pack house so he could find the key to the locked cabinet. I hope that my parents weren’t keeping anything from me. I love my family and would do anything for me. I’m hoping that whatever their reason was for keeping everything from me, Justin and I can figure it out together. I know now that he isn’t an enemy. I just needed the reassurance in all of this. That I could trust him, that he wasn’t going to hurt anyone that I care about. Depending on how this goes and how he deals with all of this and weather or not he protects my pack, then and only then will I let him mate with me.
I was so consumed by my thoughts I didn’t even notice that we were back at the pack house.
“Well I’m going to my office your more than welcome to join me if you would like.” I told Justin in hopes that he will join me.
“Alright. Lead the way my lady.” He said with a charming smirk.
“Silvia, will you please fix me and Alpha Richards some biscuits and gravy if it isn’t to much to ask?” I ask her through the pack link so it’s a surprise. I learned many things when we had our little chat and one of those is his favorite breakfast food.
“Yes Alpha, where would you like for me to bring it when it’s done?” She replied.
“My office would be nice.” I said. “Also bring some Apple juice and some milk to go with it. Remember you are feeding not one, but two hungry alphas.” I told her.
“Yes ma’am” She said before I cut the link off.
“So, what are we doing here?” Justin asked.
“We are going to make new files for all the pack members that shifted this month so that way they have their wolf files along with their human files. After that we will pick out their human files and put them with their originals that way everything stays organized.” I told him with a smile on my face.
“Your not serious, are you?” He asked with a shocked look on his face.
“Of course I’m not. I was thinking that we could go through all of my packs enemies and see which ones we have in common.” I told him after laughing my head off and whipping away my imaginary tears.
“Alright.” He said.
We got started and had been working for maybe 20 minutes before Silvia walked in with a smile on her face.
“Good morning Alpha, here’s your breakfast where would you like me to set it?” She asked.
“Place it on the coffee table please.” I said.
She did as I had asked and gave me a smile while giving Justin a nod before leaving.
I gathered up my files and moved them to the coffee table while winking at Justin.
“You gonna come eat lover boy?” I asked with a giggle.
“Oh, I didn’t realize that it was for the both of us considering I haven’t even looked at because I’ve been looking at my amazingly beautiful mate.” He said.
I turned away to hide my blush when I set my eyes on a file I haven’t ever seen before. With narrowed eyebrows I picked up the file and as soon as I laid my eyes on the name of the file my heart dropped into the pit of my stomach.
Kathrine Smith.
That’s the name on the file.
“Justin does this name look familiar?” I asked.
“Let me take a look.” He said. I handed him the file and he instantly started shaking. The look on his face made me take a step back. “I need to go right now.” He said, and with that he left the office and left me wondering what was going on.
“Taylor have you found that key yet?” I asked through the mind link.
“Yes Alpha, I’m on my way with it now.” Taylor replied
“Hurry the hell up!” I screamed.
He came running in and handed me the key which I snatched out of his hands. I opened the cabinet and found not only mine and my mothers files but also both sets of my grandparents files. I opened up my mothers and beside the word species is a singular word that I never imagined to find.
Witch-Werewolf Hybrid.
I didn’t think for even a second that they would keep something like that from me, but there’s something else that shocked me to my core and made my blood run colder than ever.
My mothers maiden name was Smith.
Kathrine Smith is her sister and my aunt.
She is also a witch. The one thing I can't help but wonder is weather or not she's the reason that my parents are dead. And if she is, then she better be praying to whatever god or goddess that those witches pray to and hope that I don't find her before she dies.
