Chapter 1: Sleeping with a Mother-to-be

Last night, Alexander Mitchell got back from a business trip and wanted to get close to Ava. They hadn't seen each other in two months, so she didn't turn him down.

He cupped her face, kissed her lips, and let his fingers slide down to her most sensitive spot.

With just one touch, he felt a wet, slippery sensation.

Alexander was a bit surprised by how sensitive she was. His fingers moved up and down for a bit before he pulled his hand away, showing a sticky string of moisture between his thumb and forefinger.

"You're wet."

Ava Anderson's eyes were glistening, almost like she was about to cry from his teasing. The sudden rush of passion made her feel like ants were crawling all over her lower body, itching like crazy.

Without thinking, she rubbed her legs together, and the moisture even got on his pants.

Alexander looked a bit helpless. He moved his hand over her panties, and soon a flash of white light crossed her mind. When a powerful wave of pleasure swept through her body, making her tremble all over, she screamed as a gush of fluid burst out.

After another round of their mutual climax, Ava collapsed into Alexander's arms and fell asleep.

When Ava woke up in the morning, she gently touched her belly, relieved that the baby was okay.

By then, Alexander was already up and ready. He was sitting at the desk, holding a cup of coffee in one hand and scrolling through his tablet with the other. Ava knew he was reading the daily financial news, a habit he had kept for years.

Alexander noticed she was awake. "You're up? Come have some breakfast."

Ava looked at Alexander, wondering when she should tell him about her pregnancy.

Breakfast at home always included fried eggs and milk. Ever since she got pregnant, the smell of milk made her feel nauseous.

Would he be happy about the baby?

After all, he had always had feelings for another woman.

Ava stared at the milk in front of her, lost in thought.

Her parents were just regular employees at SK Group. During a fire, they got trapped in the control room. To prevent more casualties, they desperately shut down important systems before they died, stopping the fire from spreading. The disaster was contained, but her parents lost their lives.

It was all over the news for days. At the time, she was only ten years old, a minor, and her legal guardian was her aunt, Evelyn Anderson.

Evelyn had no proper job and loved smoking, drinking, and gambling. She quickly blew through the huge compensation from SK Group. Ava started wandering around with Evelyn, who eventually abandoned her at the gates of SK Group.

Ava had no money, just a backpack her parents had given her years ago, the most valuable thing she owned. She didn't know where to go, so she sat at the gate, waiting for Evelyn to come back.

It was winter, and she fainted from hunger and cold at the gate of SK Group. When she woke up, she found herself in the home of Scarlett Mitchell, the then-chairwoman of SK Group.

From that day on, Scarlett raised her and eventually married her off to Alexander, the SK Group's heir.

Alexander had been groomed from a young age to be a qualified heir, patient and restrained. He didn't oppose the marriage, although he still cherished his first love.

On their wedding night, Alexander told Ava, "I have someone else in my heart. As soon as she comes back, we'll get divorced. You can't object, but you'll get everything you're entitled to."

Thinking about their complicated marriage, Ava couldn't quite describe her feelings. What would she do if he didn't want the baby?
