Chapter 9

As the elevator doors closed again, Jun Shang swung his hand, sending the gun flying and smashing the camera inside the elevator.

Elevator cabins are equipped with telephones for emergency assistance in case of malfunctions. These phones usually have features such as multi-party calling and automatic dialing. Considering the need for emergency assistance, they are designed to be resistant to damage, impact, and interference. However, after pressing the emergency dial button, Jun Shang found that there was no signal. They had blocked both the satellite signal and the wired telephone communication.

The unconscious thug had an internal intercom system, but its signal range was limited, making it difficult to use for external alarms.

This made Jun Shang feel a bit tricky. He could only save Yun Xiao and, at most, include Shi Fenfen.

It's not that he wouldn't save others who were unrelated, but he was alone. Even if there weren't many people at the Sailing Center today, there were still tens or hundreds of them. He wasn't Superman!

Unless he was willing to disregard everything and take the fastest possible action to kill all the thugs!

However, this was impossible. Even if the SWAT team arrived, the on-site commanding officer would still have to negotiate.

The thug had no useful information on him, but the equipment could still be utilized. The number of thugs was unknown, but they had likely taken control of the Sailing Center without alarming the outside world, indicating there wouldn't be few of them, and all of them had lethal weapons!

This wasn't the time to show off or act cool; the top priority was his own safety. Jun Shang quickly put on the bulletproof vest and jacket, grabbed the walkie-talkie earpiece, spare magazine, knife, gloves, and even the big-headed doll mask.

On one hand, this could confuse the thugs and buy one or two precious seconds. On the other hand, it would prevent leaving facial features, fingerprints, and other traces for the police. As for surveillance footage, there was no need to worry; the thugs would naturally destroy the data themselves.

Handling these matters took Jun Shang less than a minute!

However, at this critical moment, time was actually running out — outside the elevator, two armed individuals were already pointing their guns at the elevator doors!

The time Jun Shang spent incapacitating the thug was brief, but before smashing the camera, the surveillance footage naturally allowed the thug leader to see it. Two individuals had been arranged to come over and provide support.

However, Jun Shang didn't press the elevator button, and without seeing the elevator camera, they didn't know what he was doing inside. They couldn't provide more detailed instructions, and the two thugs hastily arriving dared not be careless.

Ensuring their guns were aimed and the safeties were off, they pressed the elevator button. With a "ding," as the elevator doors opened, a figure leaped out!

The two thugs cooperated seamlessly and immediately opened fire from different angles!

The consecutive gunshots reverberated within the elevator cabin and, through the elevator shaft and hallway, spread out quickly, soon causing a suppressed outcry.

Soon, the thugs realized something was amiss. It wasn't someone leaping out; it was someone leaning against the middle of the elevator doors, who fell out as the elevator doors opened!

Subsequently, they also saw clearly. The person hit by the gunfire was not in a uniform or wearing a mask, and the face was familiar.

The person they had just shot was one of their own!

Whether unconscious or dead, the person couldn't stand upright, leaning against the center of the elevator doors, indicating... Both thugs looked up, raising their gun muzzles simultaneously.

A hunter who set a trap wouldn't give them another chance.

Before the elevator doors opened, Jun Shang had already used his hands and feet to support himself against the elevator ceiling. He hung down, holding the unconscious thug. As the elevator doors opened, he allowed the thug to fall forward, taking the brunt of the gunfire.

By the time the two thugs outside realized what was happening, Jun Shang had already pushed off with his hands, executing a parkour-like agile flip towards them.

The two thugs, looking up, their gun muzzles raised, didn't have time to shoot again before they were met with a forceful kick to the face! The powerful impact squarely hit their faces, causing them to immediately fall backward!

As Jun Shang descended, his arms quickly pushed against the ground in a reverse motion. Before his legs touched the ground, he leveraged the force to deliver a powerful kick to the abdomens of the two individuals!

The second heavy blow transformed the falling motion into a rapid crash. The back of their heads collided heavily with the wall of the elevator shaft. With masks obscuring their expressions, their faces were unreadable, and both had lost consciousness.
