Chapter Three:
Earlier in the day…
Ambrosia POV:
I just got home from taking the kids to school and I need to change out of my comfortable clothes and put on something a little more presentable in order to go visit my covens. "Did the kids give you any trouble?" Jackson asked, stepping out of the bathroom.
"No, but they were more than excited to go." I frowned.
"Awe, isn't it getting any easier for you?" Jackson asked, hugging me.
"One day at a time right." I whispered in the crook of his neck. The truth is, it has been so hard for me to spend my days away from them. I remember going through this with Artemis and Ari but now instead of having one baby to part with, I have three at once and it is so much harder than I thought it would be. Trying to push my feelings aside, I took a deep breath before stepping into the closet and changing into a pair of black jeans. I paired them with a tank top. As my thoughts drifted back to the kids again, I moved into the bathroom to do my hair and makeup. "Tye and Pythia are on their way here!" Jackson called out pulling me from my thoughts, as I finished braiding both sides of my hair down. I quickly applied a light amount of eyeliner, mascara, and blush before applying my signature deep reddish-blue lipstick. I grabbed my boots and slid them on before I walked back out to the bedroom. "So who are we going to see first?" Jackson asked.
"Bailey and Serrian first, then the others. I figured since they are smaller we could get a feel of how everything is running since we merged everyone together before going to the larger covens and packs." I replied, before adding, "Any chance we can check on the triplets first?"
"No need, I just did! Annnnnnd took pictures while I dropped the kids off." Pythia shouted, walking in the front door waving her phone around. I couldn't help but laugh at her. Of course she would know that I would want to go and check on them. I practically ran down the stairs to her. She handed me her phone and I scrolled through the pictures looking at the helpers that Beth had. I had to admit, the kids were smiling and looked happy. "They are fine Ambrosia I promise. You know Beth would murder someone if they so much as upset one of the kids." Pythia reminded me. I laughed to myself because it is true, it was one of the first things little Beth made very clear to all her new workers.
"Alright, let's go so we can get back." I said handing Pythia her phone back. "Bailey first?" Pythia asked, giving me an odd look. I nodded my head, wondering what she is up to while grabbing on to Jacksons hand.
"Away we go!" Pythia laughed before she quickly grabbed onto me, teleporting us to the east side coven and packs. Seeing as neither of us was prepared, I landed on top of Jackson and we rolled backwards a little.
"Shit! My nuts!" Jackson wheezed out making me laugh.
"You couldn't have waited until we were ready?" I joked, looking at Pythia.
"Now, where would the fun in that be?" She winked, helping me up. I shook my head, stood up and went to help Jackson since Tye was busy laughing.
"Are you okay?" I asked, extending my hand out to him.
"You won't be making anymore babies now will you." Tye laughed harder. I glared at him while Jackson swung his arm out hitting him square in his family jewels sending him to the ground. "AH BITCH!" Tye yelled, rolling around on the ground.
"Children, we are married to children." Pythia said, shaking her head.
"Glad to see that it isn't just the wolves here that do that." Bailey laughed, making us look up.
"I don't know why they do it to each other, how are you darling?" I asked, hugging her.
"We are really good actually. How are things on your side?"
"Better, we have a meeting later with the other guardians. You all remember Pythia and her husband Tye? Oh and my brother, Xander, just popped up back there." I said pointing at everyone.
"Of course we do. Follow me. We already have the paperwork ready for you to look through." Bailey said, turning on her heels.
I have been so excited to see what everything looks like since they began making improvements, especially considering how long it has been since I have been here. I looked around, taking notice that we are walking on a new walkway with flowers and plants lining the sides. The trees that are close to the houses are all nicely trimmed. Even though some houses are unfinished, they have the supplies laying around them to complete their construction. The houses that are done, are more like upscale huts, or tiny houses are what I think the humans call them. They have made the decision to blend in with the surrounding area so they don't stand out or attract too much attention, which is a fantastic idea for them because they have always tried to maintain a quiet existence and are more old fashioned than some of the more progressive covens. "Has anyone spotted any infected creatures?" I asked while we walked up the path towards the newly built large coven/pack house.
