Chapter Eight:
Alley POV:
Jeremy nodded his head, I could pretty much see the wheels turning. "Okay, grab the infected first, kill them for all I care and then start nabbing the lower ranking to bring them back here. We may have to fight with the higher ups though." Jeremy replied. "What about children?" Cass asked. "Haven't hardly seen them, we think they are being kept somewhere under ground or stuck in the main house." I replied. "We have to get to them first somehow." Cass said. "We can't, we don't know exactly where they are." I replied. "There has to be a way, all of you can teleport right? I heard about the cloaking. You can do it." Cass said flatly. "Okay, we can figure it out. Ambrosia and I will go. We can take the twins, Hotch and separate from our wolves." Pythia spoke quickly. "Oh hell no. Not without me and Jackson." Tye replied. "You two will have to be here, with the kids and the others to finish coming up with a plan. You know we will be more than safe." Pythia said. "I'll go with them, Ambrosia will have Hotch and she will have me, plus the twins and two mean ass wolves. They'll be safe, I promise." Xander added. I looked over at Jackson but his face gave nothing away, Tye on the other hand looked like he was ready to explode. "Let them go." Jackson said, getting everyones attention. "You're okay with that?!" Tye yelled. "We have to be okay with it. It's okay to admit they can handle themselves and that's okay." Jackson replied not phased by Tyes temper.
"It's our job to protect them." Tye finally said. "Walk with me." Jackson replied, pulling him from the room. I looked over at Pythia and she smiled softly. "Are you okay?" I asked through the link. "I'm alright, Tye seems to be struggling." Pythia replied. There was a sadness in her voice. "Why don't the two of you get out of here. I'll watch the kids. Go to the cabin in the woods and have a little alone time." I offered. "That sounds good Alley thank you." Pythia replied, smiling at me. "Alright, now we wait for Ambrosia to get back. Uh, Pythia can you go see if Lillith is done with the herbs I asked for?" I asked, looking at her and winked. "Of course, I'll let you know soon." Pythia replied before she disappeared. I wasn't about to let a little conversation go out in the open like that, I knew she wouldn't want it.......
Jackson POV
I pulled Tye from the room, his temper had been short lately and he wouldn't talk to anyone about what was going on. I shoved him down in the yard and crossed my arms. "What the fuck is your problem lately?" I snapped. "I don't have a problem." Tye snapped back. "Oh yea? Why explode on Pythia like that? In front of everyone?" I yelled, stepping in his face. " I didn't mean to snap at her, it's just shit in my own head alright." Tye replied not backing away. "Use your words dumbass." I snapped. "I just want to feel needed, is that so much to ask for? I get and understand she doesn't really need me but sometimes it would be nice you know." Tye finally said, sitting down. I wanted to laugh but this was really bothering him. "Have you talked to her about it? I don't think she really knows what is going on with you." I replied. "No, I haven't talked to her about it. I don't want to seem like a whiny ass you know." Tye huffed. "You have to communicate with her. She probably thinks you have a lot of pack business to do. Do you ever include her with any of those decisions?" I asked. "Well no, she has a lot to handle with the covens." Tye replied and I stared at him waiting for it to sink in. "I'm an idiot." Tye mumbled. "Yeah you are. You both need to include each other with literally everything. Why do you think I don't mind Ambrosia doing this? She is well protected and knows how to handle a hard situation. That and I know she will call to me if she is in any trouble. You have to know that about Pythia." I said. "I do know that about her, I guess there has been a miscommunication." Tye replied.
"Pythia is waiting for you at your house. The two of you will go away for the night. Alley is going to watch the kids, go and talk to her because I swear if you do that again you'll be picking your teeth up off the floor. Got me?" I said in a serious tone. I knew he meant no harm but still, "I got you. Thanks man." Tye replied jumping to his feet. I shook my head and stood back up. "You did good love." Ambrosia said walking up to us followed by Celeste and Malachi. "Thanks, he's just emotional I guess." I replied kissing her cheek. "How are the two of you?" I asked. "Nervous but good." Celeste replied. "It'll be fine, we just need to give descriptions and stuff and then we have a date." Malachi said. "It's nothing serious we just need to know full disclosure and if this will work or not." I added. "Okay, sorry this is just all so new, I'm not use to being around wolves without them trying to kill us." Celeste laughed nervously. I could honestly see why they were nervous. Surrounded by alphas and lunas that are also witches can be intimidating. “Do you have any questions before we go in?” I asked looking at them. “No, seems pretty straight forward.” Malachi replied. “I think I’ll be fine.. I’m sure they’re all nice.” Celeste added. “They are, some of them may look mean but they really aren’t and one is human.” I said. “Human?” Malachi asked. “Yes, the once Rogue king bow turned normals mate. Long story.” I replied shaking my head. “Come, we must get in there.” Ambrosia said with a smile. I nodded my head and turned on my heels. I didn’t have any special abilities but I could see and feel how nervous Celeste was. Malachi didn’t give any indications away but he was heavily guarded. This day just got a lot longer for us.
