Chapter 3
Felix hesitated for a moment. After a few seconds of silence, he said, "Yeah, give her a call."
They hadn't been in Seattle long when Bella had followed, ostensibly for tourism. But everyone at the Lu Corporation's branch office knew she'd come chasing after Felix.
"Okay."
Sophia quickly arranged the plane tickets, and after picking up Bella, they all hurried to the airport.
After more than ten hours in the air, the plane finally touched down smoothly at Dawnridge Airport.
In these ten hours, Sophia also saw Felix's attentive care for Bella.
Once off the plane, the group made their way toward the airport exit.
When there are too many people, Felix will subconsciously protect Bella.
Gianna had been on a business trip with Felix before, but she took care of him all the time, and Felix was cold to her.
Compared to Gianna, Bella seemed more like Felix's wife.
...
At the same time, Gianna also came out from the other side of the airport.
Gianna, wearing a V-neck halter dress and sunglasses, appeared to be in a good mood with a faint smile on her face.
Faith had arrived early and was eagerly waiting at the airport’s entrance. She immediately waved upon spotting Gianna.
Upon seeing her, Gianna’s smile deepened, and she quickened her pace, wheeling her suitcase toward her friend.
However, just as she was about to reach Faith, she noticed a grim look on Faith’s face. Her eyes fixed behind Gianna.
Surprise flickered in Gianna's eyes as she turned around. Her gaze fell on Felix and Bella, who were walking side by side toward the airport exit.
She unconsciously tightened her grip on the suitcase, her expression becoming unreadable.
Before Faith could say anything, Gianna turned back to her and said calmly, "Let’s go."
Seeing that Gianna looked calm and had no emotion in her eyes, Faith was not sure whether she really put Felix down and quickly reached out to take the luggage in her hand.
"You've done a lot of shopping this time. It's pretty heavy."
"They're all presents for you," Gianna replied nonchalantly.
As they talked and walked away, they didn't notice a sharp gaze fixed upon them or, more precisely, on Gianna.
Feeling something off with Felix, Bella gently tugged at his sleeve.
"Felix, what's wrong?" she asked softly.
Felix looked away and shook his head. "Nothing."
Was it just his imagination?
The woman he had just seen reminded him of Gianna, although Gianna would never wear a slinky sundress. Her clothing always exuded a soft and gentle vibe at first glance.
He frowned, looked at Sophia, and said, "Haven't you found out where Gianna is?"
Sophia, unable to look Felix in the eye, bowed her head and said, "Um... But I will definitely find Miss Redstone's exact location by the end of today!"
Felix's aura turned icier as he commanded, "You take Bella home. I'm heading to the villa."
By the time he got back to the villa, it was already past seven in the evening.
The villa was dark, and it was obvious that she wasn't home.
Felix frowned involuntarily as he opened the door, and a dusty smell spread across the floor.
Every time Felix came back, the first thing he saw was Gianna's smiling face, but now the room was full of darkness.
Felix turned on the light in the living room. There was already a layer of dust in the house, and it was clear that Gianna had not been back, just as the property manager had said.
Gianna had been angry with him before, but she never went a month without coming back.
Felix's heart sank as he felt a foreboding sensation, which peaked when he spotted the divorce agreement and the wedding ring on the table in the living room.
There was already a layer of dust on the divorce agreement because no one had cleaned it for a month.
Felix picked up the document, flipping to the last page. Sure enough, Gianna had signed her name.
An unprecedented surge of anger welled up in Felix's heart as he clutched the divorce agreement so tightly that his face contorted into an expression of pure ugliness.
‘She really dares to divorce!’
Felix was furious when his cell phone rang.
"Felix, I've found Miss Redstone's whereabouts... She's now in North Town..."
He could sense Sophia's hesitation. He said in a cold voice, "Spit it out! Where is she in North Town?"
"In a Villa... The owner of the villa is a Rising Film Star, Jonah Getty."
