TWO

"Hey, are you okay?" she asks while holding my arms and helping me sit on the bench in front of us. I could not reply because of what I felt right now. After a couple of minutes, I suddenly disappear and slowly look at the woman who helped me.

"I am okay; thank you for helping me," I replied, and I smiled at her to make her feel relieved. I can see in her eyes that she is worried sick about me.

"Are you sure? I can bring you to the hospital right now," she still worriedly asked, gently touching my back.

"No, madam, I am fine now. Thank you so much; maybe I am just tired because of work." I gave her another genuine smile to put her at ease. She let out a sigh and stood up.

"Okay, if you feel something again, go to the hospital right away, okay?" I nodded to give her a response. She then excused herself and hurriedly went away. She probably doesn’t want to miss the bus that is currently parked near the area. I look down and touch my heart. How could this happen?

.

It is morning, and I am going through my morning routine, such as cleaning the house, which I only do when I do not have work. I cooked delicious food to eat; maybe later on those two would arrive here, so I needed to get ready.

I went to the table to eat when someone knocked on my door, and I heard loud voices talking or arguing about something. I walked to open the door and noticed Leandro and Chel arguing.

"Why are you two fighting?" I asked.

"Chel does not want to go to the park; she wants to go to the mall. All we can do there is spend a lot of money; she is just wasting her money to buy some clothes that she did not even want to wear after," Leandro explained, still looking at Chel intently.

"Park is just for couples! All we can also do there is walk and buy ice cream. And why are you so mad about what I want, huh?" Chel replied and stared at Leandro intently. Just what the hell are these kids doing nowadays? Arguing about nonsense.

"Okay, stop arguing. If you two cannot agree on where you want to go, then what about we stay here and just do a movie marathon while eating?" I ask.

"Well, that is great, but I want to go to the park," Leandro said.

"I want to go to the mall too," Chel pouted. I let out another sigh; they wouldn't listen to me.

"Alright, how about you two play rock paper and scissors? Whoever wins, then let's go to the place he or she wants. Is that okay?" I asked, and they both nodded. They started to play the game, and Chel won.

I saw Leandro pissed while Chel was acting like a ten year old child after winning the game. She is an energetic woman, huh?

After the game, I invite them to eat the food I prepared earlier. Of course, they would gladly accept my invitation because the moment they tasted my food, they wanted to eat it again and again.

When we finished eating, Leandro and Chel washed the dishes together, while I was the one who cleaned up the table. I support these two love birds; it flatters me whenever I look at them.

Following that, we left the house, rode in a vehicle, and finally arrived at the mall. As the three of us began to make our way inside, I decided to walk behind them. I smiled. I am lucky to have these two in my life.

"Charlotte, what are you doing in the back?" I was a bit startled when Chel suddenly called my name.

"Oh, I just do not want to ruin the mood," I replied, giving her a genuine smile. I saw their faces looking at me confusedly, which made me chuckle.

"By the way, you two can play at the arcade first. I want to look at the bookshop to look around and buy books. All the books that I bought last week were already finished," I said to change the topic.

"A bookworm, huh?" Leandro said, putting both of his hands on his waist.

"Books are better than anything else, better than boys, Leandro." I tease him.

"Oh, even though I don't love reading books, I can agree with you." We give each other a high five after Chel speaks. Both of us look at Leandro, grinning.

"You two love to tease me, huh? Both of you must be thankful because a guy like me doesn't take revenge," he proudly said, crossing his arms while looking at us. We just laughed at him which made him a bit angry.

"Well, we both know that you're that kind of guy," I said, walking closely to him and whispering in his ear. "That is why I am rooting for you to be Chels husband," I added, which made him blush for a second.

"What are you two talking about?" Chel asks confusedly.

"We are talking about the future," I replied and smiled at her, but it did ot change Chel’s reaction. "Anyway, I need to go now. You two can enjoy this day with just you, okay? I badly want to buy books right now," I added. The two agreed and finally headed inside the arcade in front of us. I turned my back on them and walked to find the bookstore.

As I walked, I looked around and saw families and teenagers spending their time with their friends. If Mom and Dad were still alive, would the three of us spend our time here too? Well, I guess that is a yes.

I entered the bookstore and began walking to the shelves full of books. I look at it and look for books that I can read; typically, I read fantasy and romance novels. I searched and searched until I discovered one that piqued my interest. I quickly touch the book, but then a man hand appears, holding mine. When I looked to my right, I noticed a man looking at me too.

Based on his clothing, I believe he is a wealthy person. but I think he is just around 20 and maybe he's still taking college.

"I am sorry?" He just kept on looking at me and afterward removed his hand.

"I did not notice you; I am sorry for touching your hand. It is just merely an accident; I hope I don't offend you or something," he said, and we're both looking into each others eyes. I look down and shake my head before speaking.

"No, it is okay. I know it was just an accident, but... Do you also want that book?" I look at him. Looking at the book that I want to buy, he clears his throat and speaks.

"Well, if you like it, I'll give it to you," he said seriously.

"I see, thank you." I smiled at him. He raised his hand and smiled at me a little. I suddenly remembered someone by just giving me a smile like that; he looked like the one I loved. Their faces are also similar, but I think it was just my imagination.

When I was about to touch the book again, my heart suddenly hurt, causing me to kneel on the ground. I am not sure why, but it was the same as when I was walking down the street yesterday. Why is this happening now?

"Are you okay?" he asks, touching my hand, which relieves the pain. I suddenly wondered why it disappeared so quickly. I squeeze his hand tightly and take a deep breath. I help myself stand up straight and look him in the eyes.

"Yes, thank you." I suddenly remove my hand from his grip, and little by little, the pain gradually returns.

"Karsen!" We both looked at our backs when one of his friends shouted his name. Karsen?

"I need to go. Nice meeting you." He turned away from me and began to walk away from my position. The pain I felt faded away as the man walked away from me. So, what just happened?

I look at the book and touch it. I get the impression that something is wrong with him. "No, maybe I was just hallucinating or something," I told myself, shaking my head before taking the book to the cashier to pay.
