The Prisoner Has Escaped

''You saw the mark on her?'' Mr. Daryl lit up with interest.

Bernard scoffed.

''The mark. You wish.'' Bernard laughed at the fact that Daryl had only seen the mark, and had no idea that the prophecy had started to unfold, as the dragon king had already found out that she was his mate. Bernard laughed at the fact that Daryl did not know that The Bringer Of Chaos had started to unleash her chaos already.

Bernard looked at Daryl, and then at Oliver.

''Who is he?'' Bernard asked Mr. Daryl, referring to Oliver.

''Him? This is Alpha Oliver. The son of the Alpha. He is in training now, and his first task is to return Eidenel to the Sudden Fang Pack.

''My Lord. My Lord.'' One of Bernard's men hurried towards him.

''The King. The King is on his way to the dungeon.'' The man reported.

Bernard's eyes almost popped out of his socket.

''Quickly, cause a distraction. You must stop him. If he finds out that the prisoner has escaped, he would roast us.'' Bernard said on his way out while Mr. Daryl looked closely, trying to understand the situation at hand.

''Wait a minute. What's going on?'' Mr. Daryl said, flashing a skeptical expression.

No matter the amount of distractions that was created, King Archer did not relent as he was headed for the dungeon. He had sent Bernard to bring the Eidenel to him for a long time, and up till now, Bernard was nowhere to be found.

From experience, King Archer was able to tell that the prisoner might have escaped.

Julie walked briskly behind her boyfriend as she saw how crazed he was acting.

There had never been a time that King Archer went to the smelly dungeon for any reason but this Eidenel girl.

''What's so special about this prisoner, Archer. Why are you disgracing yourself by going to the dungeon?'' Julie asked King Archer while he walked to the dungeon but her statement fell on deaf ears as King Archer gave her no attention.

''What cell was the last prisoner put in?'' King Archer asked one of the wardens as soon as he got to the entrance of the dungeon.

''My King!'' Bernard happened to show up right at that moment.

King Archer looked at Bernard.

''I sent you on an errand hours ago and you didn't return, so I thought to do it by myself.'' King Archer was not going to stop entering the dungeon just because Bernard called his name.

''My King! There would be no need for that...'' Bernard's voice quivered as he started to reveal the secret to King Archer.

King Archer froze on his tracks.

''What do you mean that there would be no need for that? I'm going in there right now to see her and ask questions.'' He was going to continue walking in but Bernard quickly spilled the tea.

''The prisoner has escaped.''

As soon as Bernard said what he had just said, it was as if the world stopped. There was pin drop silence.

''Run!'' Bernard suddenly said and he was the first person to take to his heels as he spotted the ball of fire forming in the King's belly.

In the twinkle of an eye, King Archer had shifted into his dragon, and was spitting angry fire on everything around him. King Archer destroyed the dungeon and everyone in it.

Yes! All the prisoners and wardens that were trapped in the dungeon when King Archer got crazy, died as the King burnt everything to the ground.

Julie fled for her life, as well as Bernard, while King Arhcer took flight into the air, he was on a quest to look for his mate.

''Did you hear that?'' Mr. Daryl asked Oliver.

It was the sound of King Archer's cry when he was informed that Eidenel had escaped.

Oliver, a young man without experience in what was going on, could only depend on the warrior leader for guidance because at that point, everything that was going on was beyond what he could handle.

''Daryl, I don't think you should step out of this room.'' Oliver watched Mr. Daryl open the door and take a peep outside, trying to find out what was goin on.

''I think we have to find our way out of this dragon land. I sense that something is terribly wrong here.'' Mr. Daryl signaled for Oliver to follow him as he started to sneak out of the room.

''I was just coming to you. Look. You need to take your men and leave now. Things are getting out of hand.'' Bernard saw Mr. Daryl and Oliver trying to leave his house and he thought it was the best decision for them.

''I heard a loud cry.,What was that?'' Mr. Daryl asked.

''Look. Isn't that one of your buildings on fire?'' Oliver looked beyond Bernard, pointing towards the direction from where the fire was coming from.

''Forget about us here and leave!'' Bernard could not stress the fact enough.

''No! We will not leave until you tell us what is going on? What was that loud cry all about, and why is your building on fire?'' Mr. Daryl insisted.

Bernard shot Mr. Daryl a brief look and raised his hands.

''Fine! You wnat to know, right? Okay. That building on fire is the dungeon where Eidenel was kept, and the cry you heard was from the Dragon King. King Archer.'' Bernard looked at Mr. Daryl, wondering whether anything had started to make sense to him yet.

Well, yes! His instincts were right, as Mr. Daryl immediately knew what was going on.

''Wait a minute. Don't tell me that Eidenel is mated to the Dragon King?'' Mr. Daryl asked.

''Unfortunately. yes. Eidenel is mated to the Dragon King, and the King has lost his mind for the fact that his mate escaped from his hands. He killed everyone in the dungeon, including his dragon-kin. It is against the belief of the Dragon Siege for a drgaon to intentionally kill another dragon, especially an innocent one.'' Bernard burst into tears as he highlighted the grave danger that they were all in.
