6. Sarah's anger.

Aaron freshens up and encounters Adah entering his room. Adah expresses her concern about Sarah, feeling guilty about betraying her best friend and worrying about how to confront her. Aaron observes her distress and reassures her not to be anxious.

"Brother, I failed as her best friend to protect her. She will never forgive me," Adah says, scared of Sarah's anger. Sarah is not an easygoing person either. Aaron sighs, understanding exactly what she means. The situation is now too messy to solve or clarify, but it's all for her betterment and safety, according to him.

He gently takes Adah's hand in his grip. "I know she is not an easygoing person, but it was necessary. Revenge is what we are planning to take, right? Forget about this and get some sleep, Adah," he says in his gruff voice.

"But why only her brother? Why does she have to suffer? She had nothing to do with your revenge," she says, trying to figure things out.

Adah, with an answer that was not so significant, leaves her. She knew Sarah was not receiving any justice. Her single lie was ruining her best friend's life.

"You must have seen how Aaron was not even looking at me!" complained his mother to her elder brother on the phone.

She was frustrated as Aaron's care for Sarah was something that bothered her a lot. She hates being ignored. She loved being the center of attention, treated with care and admiration. That's all she wants.Pacing back and forth, with gritted teeth. She narrows her eyes at Aaron's childhood pictures. "You are always so stubborn, you love causing problems in my life, and now you've brought that stupid girl to this mansion. She doesn't even compare to our class! A third-class girl," she mumbles with pure hatred.self-pity and bitterness, she isolates herself from the world. Her negative attitude affects not only her relationships but also her own well-being. It is evident that she needs to find a way to let go of her resentment and open herself up to love and compassion. Her husband shook his head at her hatred and bitterness towards every single human being in this mansion. As she painted her nails, she hummed a song, emphasizing that self-care and self-love were her first and only priorities.

Meanwhile, the clock struck 9. Aaron was already dressed in a three-piece suit, ready to go to his office. He grabbed his car keys and laptop, and marched out of his room. His first stop was to check on Sarah. A small smile appeared on his lips as he pushed open her bedroom door, only to find her peacefully sleeping, tangled up under the duvet. He sighed in relief, at least she hadn't tried to run away!

He slowly and securely takes steps towards her, making sure he doesn't disturb her sleep. She was precious to him, very precious. As his eyes witness the most beautiful sight, he found her hair hiding her moon-like face. His fingers felt an urge to swipe them away and take a look at her. He slowly raised his hand. Meanwhile, his phone buzzed. He hissed and quickly answered the call.

"Yeah, I will be there in a moment," he says and rushed out, as an important meeting was he forgetting about.

While here, Sarah stirred up in her sleep and yawned, stretching her limbs. To find none other than his mom sitting in front of her and smiling. Her fake smile made Sarah roll her eyes.

"Oh, good morning, Honey," says Aaron's mom, Sophie, with her sugar-coated voice. "What's so good about the morning!?" Sarah replied in a duh tone. She was getting a bad vibe from this old lady. She seemed too cranky and fake. The old lady fakely laughed, making Sarah sigh. "No need to prove to me that your old age is affecting your brain," Sarah commented, making Sophie glare at her.

"Talk sense, Sarah. You are not supposed to talk like this. Anyways, now that you are wide awake, get freshened up and come downstairs for breakfast. Then we will give you a tour of this villa," she says with her not-so-sweet smile.

Sarah ignores Sophie and jumps off the bed. She hisses in pain as her injured foot touches the floor. She manages to steady herself using the wall and walks towards the bathroom.

After going through her morning routine, she gets dressed in a crop top and mini skirt that she knows he likes. She mentally curses Aaron for his poor taste in clothes. "I hate you Aaron, you'll pay for this!" she mutters as Adah enters her room. Sarah turns around when she hears the doorknob turning.

"Well, well, don't you have any shame? Coming to me after betraying me!?" Sarah asks mockingly, crossing her arms over her chest. Adah is left speechless, hoping to hear the same words from Sarah.

"Sarah, let's have breakfast and talk," Adah tries to start a conversation, but Sarah is too stubborn to listen. "Just leave now!" she says, glaring at Adah. Adah tries to approach her, but Sarah pushes her aside, causing Adah to trip and fall.

Sarah couldn't care less and rolls her eyes. She hates liars. Meanwhile, Ahad is safely in her brother's arms, who has returned to retrieve his important file!

"Are you alright?" asked Aaron with no emotion to Adah. Adah, being sad and heartbroken by Sarah's behavior, nods and stands up. Sensing tension between her brother and Sarah, she softly pats Aaron's shoulder. He gives a nod, and she walks out of her room. Sarah, done with the drama, huffs her cheeks and sits on the bed, royally ignoring him.

He clenches his jaw and takes a step closer to her, yanking her arm harshly in his tight grip. He asks, "How dare you!" He growls, making Sarah flinch at his sudden outburst.

"I hate you and every single thing that is related to you, Aaron!" spats Sarah with pure rage. Aaron couldn't help but chuckle at her words. He grasps her jaw in his hand, pulling her possibly closer. He whispers in her ear, "How will you hate yourself? As in, you are mine, everything?" He mumbles, making her eyes go wide. Their breaths mingle. A small smirk forms on his lips, making her hate his existence.
