Chapter 002.

Akira's POV

"A wolf..." I murmur, as fear freezes me. terror was written on the face of these hooligans that were about to rape me, the more he growl, the more he move from the dark, and his vision become more clear, a majestic wolf. His grey eyes find mine, even in a distance, before he averted them almost at the same moment, and focus on the men who were about to rape me, "run.." one of the men screamed as he let go of my wrist, I fall to the floor because I wasn't expecting that they let go of me without warning.

I was too scared to run, I was just there, crawling backward on my bum, as my gaze focused on the wolf, his paws were thudding on the floor, they were coming too close. I shut my eyes.

Suddenly, I felt a whoops sound, a light speed, it leaped from where he was standing above me, its powerful jaws snapping shut around the throat of the closest hooligans that he grabbed.

A sharp scream left the hooligan's throat, and I tilted my head behind to see what had happened, right in front of me, his body pummeled to the floor, and his blood sprayed into the air.

My eyes bulged as he aimed for another, with his elongated claws, he left a tear on the man's jaws, and with one slap from his paws to the face of the man, he left him with a broken neck, the man's screams were cut short, his life snuffed out in an instant.

Panic erupted among the remaining three men as they scrambled to defend themselves against the ferocious beast. But the wolf moved with uncanny limbs, darting between them with deadly ability. With each strike, another of the hooligans fell to the ground, their bodies torn apart and covered with their blood by the savage strength of this beast.

I stared in fear and amazement, at how powerful could a wolf be, and then I wished I was a wolf that way, I could defend myself from monsters like this.

The street echoed with the sounds of battle, the clash of steel against fur, and the desperate cries of men fighting for their lives. But it was a futile struggle against the ruthless wolf.

One by one, the hooligans were torn apart by the ruthless wolf, their screams echoing through the night until only silence remained.

They were lifeless, the wolf stood amidst the carnage, its muzzle stained with blood, his fangs and claws were dripping blood, and his eyes were blood-tasty but they still looked lovely. His eyes were the most beautiful thing I had ever seen, he moved his back paws, pushing them off his way, and before he looked ahead, his eyes found mine, fear gripped me, I was the only one left which meant it was my turn to die. I do not want to die.

My hands trembled, as fear paralyzed me. I couldn't move, my breath caught in my throat as I stared at the creature walking towards me now. My mind raced with fear and confusion, I tried to control my breath and the trembling of my hands, but to my surprise, the wolf made no move to attack me. Instead, it approached me cautiously, its movements slow down and gentle.

He didn't leap towards me as he did those men, and although I was still scared I did not attempt to run away.

As the wolf drew closer, I could see that it was different from any wolf I had ever seen before. Fuck me! Have I ever seen one before? Except from Television. Its fur was a mix of silver and grey, and its eyes held a strange look that sent shivers down my spine. I hesitated for a moment, unsure of what to do, but something in the wolf's gaze seemed to call out to me. I don't know but I was drawn to him.

In a blink, he stood before me, and his gaze was focused on me, unconsciously I reached out my trembling hand towards the creature, my heart pounding in my chest. To my greatest surprise, the wolf leaned forward and nuzzled against my palm, its rough tongue licking my skin gently. A sense of calm washed over me as I realized that the wolf meant no harm. He was only protecting me.

I parted my lips to say something but fear get the best part of me because suddenly I felt dizzy, I held my head, "shit!" I curse, and my eyes shut slowly and the next thing, I passed out.

"Run? He is going to sink his fangs on you." I heard a loud growl and the eerie sound filled the room, I parted my eyes, "Where am I?" I move my eyes to the ceiling but I don't think I have been here before.

"Ah! Killed them all..." That voice cams up again, I shut my eyes, I need to run, and the eerie sound was getting louder,

"Ahh!" Someone screamed I shut my eyes, the wolf, he had brought me here to kill me, I needed to escape before the wolf got to me, I grabbed my coat and was leaving in the most silent way I could think about. I pulled out the door of the room and walked towards the door.

Suddenly, I heard a loud crash sound and then my name followed, "Akira..." I jumped in fear, standing still before the light came up. I tilted my head in the direction of the room where I heard my name.

"Vida..." I called in frustration, as my hand went to my chest, I walked slowly to her. I pushed her head slightly, it was the television, that was making those creepy sounds before I grabbed the remote and switched off the TV. "Are you mad? Why are you playing such a movie at this time of the day? Aren't you supposed to be at work and whose house are we?" So many questions.

"Sorry, didn't mean to scare you," she said, her voice filled with amusement.

I sighed, and let out a breath of relief, as I fell to the couch where Vida was sitting, "what happened to you? I was scared when I found you on the street and with the news that a beast is in town..."

"A beast..." I asked with concern, that wolf might be the one she was talking about.

"Yes, the cops came and there was a massive raid, they found five Carnages on the street..."

"And the beast?" I asked with worry, I didn't want anything to happen to him. "Did they kill him?" I asked grabbing Vida's hand.

"No, they didn't..."

"Thank goodness..." Vida looked at me confused. I rifled my hair when I noticed Vida's strong stare, I was overly concerned about the beast than the human. "Ahem..." I clear my throat. "I guess those humans are bad people that is the reason the beast killed them." I count my words, and Vida looks at me. I am never the type that supports bad things but here I am taking sides with the beast. "Come on Vida, stop staring like I said..."

"Fine..." She raised her hand in surrender, wanting to grab the remote, but my hand fell on her.

"No please, I can't stand the sight of those scary horror movies of yours," I said shutting my eyes and last night's scene came running in my mind's eye. "Fuck!" I battered my lashes, and my phone ping, its mother requesting the fifty dollars, I sighed, and the reminder that I do not have a job came crushing.

"What now?" Vida asked seeing my worried face.

"I need a job..."

"You got a diploma right?" She asked from the blue.

"So?"

"Here, Wolfie Stark Enterprises, I heard, the notorious cold CEO is looking for an assistant..." Vida threw the newspaper at me.

"Come on, didn't you even read it, that this is the twenty-nine time he is looking for an assistant in less than a month, I do not need this, I need a job that is certain, that one, I am not sure of."

"Don't be ridiculous, even Lady Cassandra's Job was constant, if it was, you would not have been fired for slapping a man that was arousing you." I frown, as I go through the articles, some pictures of his former assistant were there, they are hot. Why did he fire them?

"Are you going or not, The time is 9 am and it's almost eight." I sighed, then nodded to her, "Good, let me get you what to wear, and let's storm the office of Logan Wolfie."
