♥ Chapter 5♥

11:55: Horizon Penitentiary - Laundry. - Zephyria.

Aurelia Dusk.

'' We've finally finished! '' Hina celebrated, raising her arms in the air.

'' Yeah, I hate washing clothes and then having to fold them. '' Tina stretched, expressing her dissatisfaction.

''I'm still a bit weirded out by those names, because I know they're not their real names.

'' I understand you perfectly, sis. It's a boring and complicated task. '' Trix also stretched, agreeing.

''All right there, Aurelia?'' Dina asked, worried.

''Oh, yes. I'm used to it. '' I was taken aback by the other five's surprised looks.

''What do you mean?'' Flora asked, puzzled.

''Well, I used to do these household chores at home, so for me, it's almost nothing.

Remembering those horrible activities brought me a flood of strange feelings. My parents always favored my brother, while I was burdened with housework and college activities. I wonder how they reacted when they heard about my arrest. They still haven't come to visit me.

''Look, we have someone responsible between us.'' Dora put her arm around my shoulders. ''Now we can go and sunbathe.

I frowned, confused.

"Sunbathing?" I asked, not understanding.

Is that allowed?

'' Sure, come with me. '' Dina pulled me along, and we went ahead.

I had no idea where we were going; I just followed her lead.

'' Look, there's some new meat here. '' A guy full of tattoos approached, accompanied by some guys.

He emanated a menacing aura, and his companions weren't far behind, leaving me with a mixture of fear and apprehension.

''Hawkeye, she's with us. '' Dina intervened, standing in front of me.

"I don't care." He pushed her aside and stood in front of me, holding my chin. "Um, you're very pretty. I think I'm going to make you my private little whore.

I widened my eyes in terror, silently begging for the situation not to unfold in the way I feared.

'' Hawkeye, leave her alone. '' Trix intervened, glaring at him.

''Keep to yourself, Trix. If you don't want to get slapped in the face, you'd better keep quiet." He said it harshly.

He turned his gaze on me and stepped closer, making me instinctively step back. An unpleasant smile formed on his lips.

''I will indeed make you my little whore.'' He let out the words in a voice that sent shivers down my spine, followed by a kiss that sounded more like a threat. ''You're my girl now.

As soon as he pulled away, my anxious gaze sought the support of the others, but the quick shift of his eyes told me everything.

''W-W-What happened here?'' My hands were shaking as if they had a life of their own.

''He's the new temporary leader. '' Trix whispered, her eyes full of regret. ''I'm sorry for not protecting you, Aurelia.

That wave of despair hit me like a punch in the stomach, flooding me with paralyzing fear. I was shaking inside, but I knew I couldn't let my weakness show. I didn't want to be the cause of more pain for those women who had already faced so much. So I took a deep breath and raised my head, trying to keep my composure in the face of the fear that threatened to consume me.

''It's okay, Trix.'' I swallowed, forcing a fragile smile. ''I don't want you to end up getting hurt because of me.

They smiled back, trying to reassure me.

''Oh, she's so cute.'' Tina joked, touching my cheeks gently.

''Yes, she's very cute.'' Trix agreed, her smile conveying comfort. ''Well, let's go to the courtyard.

I followed them into the courtyard, but my mind was elsewhere, dominated by the fear of that Hawkeye. Each step seemed to weigh tons, while I found myself enveloped in a suffocating atmosphere of apprehension. And suddenly, being beautiful became a curse, a burden I didn't ask for, but now had to carry under the threatening gaze of those who saw in me only vulnerable prey.

''It's going to be okay.'' Dora interrupted my dark thoughts.

''How? There's a madman who wants me.'' I blurted out, sadness weighing on every word.

''We know this is horrible, Aurelia. '' Dina said sorrowfully. ''We've all been through what you're going through right now; we've suffered a lot; I was abused, Dora was too, Trix, all of us here have been.

Horror flooded my being as I listened to their stories.

''But now that we're old for them, none of them come to us anymore.'' Tina tried to bring a little relief to the conversation. ''And we're grateful for that.

'' What's going to happen to me? '' I asked, a little unsure.

'' Hawkeye is known for being very rough and mean, but he just can't beat the demon. We don't know what he's planning with you, because this is the first time he's wanted someone for himself."' Tina said softly.

''Just because of my 'beauty'?'' I made quotation marks with my fingers.

''You're beautiful, Aurelia. No one can deny that." Trix said. ''If even the nebula was bothered by that, it's because you really attract attention.

'' Okay, I deserve it. '' I said and took a deep breath. ''Let's get some air, please.

'' All right, you really need it. '' Dora said and wrapped her arms around us.

We went to this courtyard.

It's quite a big place; there are several tables and some prisoners sitting around talking to each other, and there are also some bleachers.

'' This is where we can get some peace. '' Trix said. ''Let's go to the bleachers.

We went over there and sat down.

''Now we're going to show you the people you really have to ignore,'' Tina said.

'' Right. '' I said, a little startled.

''First, D.'' He pointed to a skinny guy standing alone in the field. ''He's very dangerous.

'' What do you mean? How can a skinny person do anything? There's no prejudice, but he's too thin to try anything. '' I said, and the five of them just nodded.

''Aurelia, my darling.'' Trix said. ''Just because he's skinny like that doesn't mean he's not dangerous.

'' What did he do?

'' He's a cannibal. '' I looked at Dina in shock. '' Yes, I was surprised by that too.

'' He doesn't eat much of the food here; it's very rare for him to eat. I didn't know he was a cannibal, and I was happy to fuck him. What I got was a bite on the shoulder that almost ripped my skin off. '' Tina said and pulled down her overalls, revealing the very deep scar on her shoulder.

'' Wow. '' I said surprised. ''Does it hurt?'' I asked, running my hand over the bite.

'' No, it's been two years. I cried from the pain; it was much worse than the abuse." He said that and put his overalls back on.

'' Then stay well away from him. ''Trix said, and I nodded in agreement, feeling a shiver run down my spine.

'' And that's the Dragon.

He pointed to a very tall man; he's huge and muscular; he might even surpass that Executioner...

'' He likes to fool newcomers by being kind and a very nice fellow. '' Dora said and then rolled her eyes. ''But then he rapes you like a maniac in heat.

'' That happened to you, didn't it? '' I asked, and she nodded.

''I was new here; I didn't have anyone to talk to; I was a very sacred person, just like you are now. '' I snorted, making her laugh. ''He was nice to me and very nice, but I let my guard down, and I was raped several times by him, then he laughed and left.

'' That's horrible; how come nobody does anything? '' Trix put her hand on my shoulder, her expression filled with resignation.

''Darling, no one cares about us here; we're treated like animals; I mean, much worse, because animals aren't treated that badly.

I let out a sigh, feeling a lump forming in my throat. This place is much worse than I thought. How can anyone treat people like this? The question echoed in my mind, unanswered, only adding to the sense of hopelessness that hung over us like a dense shadow, ready to swallow up any vestiges of hope that might remain. My heart squeezed with the deep sadness that permeated every corner of this dark place, where humanity seemed to have been banished and replaced by the most terrible cruelty.

In this city, cut off from the world, the law is a mere illusion. Those who come from outside for a brief visit often disappear, never to be seen again. The police forces are corrupt to the core, and there is no gender distinction in the prisons, placing men and women side by side, ignoring the obvious dangers. The suffering of women is palpable, but justice seems to be oblivious to it all.
