Chapter 1 Giving Blood to His Lover

The sound of a text message on her phone caught Natalie Clark's attention. She was taken aback for a moment when she saw the message, feeling like she had been hit hard in the chest.

The sender of the message was her husband.

She scrolled through the message history. [Remember to go to the hospital.]

[Remember to come to the hospital and donate blood.]

[Please go to the hospital right away.]

For three years of marriage, Gabriel Kensington only contacted her to have her go to the hospital and give blood to his ex-girlfriend, Alyssa Davis.

And he always treated Natalie as a stranger.

This month, Natalie had already donated blood three times, exceeding what her body could handle.

Sitting on the couch, Natalie's eyes unknowingly started to feel sore and blurry. Yesterday, she waited for him to get off work in the rain for over an hour. Today, she felt unwell, dizzy, so she didn't go to the office. Gabriel... probably didn't even know she had a fever.

She was beginning to cough a lot.

Holding her phone, Natalie pondered how to reply when suddenly a strange message shattered her last bit of persistence and dignity.

[Even if you are Mrs. Kensington, it's just an empty title. How often does Gabriel really look at you? He rested with me last night. If I were you, I would kill myself. You are just a homewrecker who destroys others' relationships!]

Natalie felt a sense of oppression, heaviness, and shock. She was the rightful Mrs. Kensington. She gave up her loved ones and friends, and worked on her marriage for three years, only to be labeled with such insults.

Her chest felt like it had been hit hard, and all the emotions she had accumulated during those humble days suddenly shattered.

Then a photo was sent to her phone, showing Gabriel peacefully sleeping. His handsome facial features were like a sculpted masterpiece, captivating her and seemingly confirming the words just now.

And lying on his shoulder was the woman, Alyssa. Both of them had their eyes closed, but Alyssa's smiling lips betrayed her alertness at this moment.

They looked so much like an intimate couple!

Natalie's phone suddenly rang, it was a call from the Kensington Villa.

Natalie unconsciously answered the call. Gabriel's mother, Wendy Baker, sternly urged and ordered her.

"Natalie, did you forget what day it is today? The servants have the day off, so you better come over and cook!"

Natalie sneered and hung up the phone without saying a word!

She had always treated Gabriel with caution, maintaining a dangerous marriage.

At the company, everyone looked down on her, but she still wholeheartedly played the role of a secretary.

At the Kensington Villa, Gabriel's mother and sister, who looked sophisticated and refined, seemed to disdain Natalie, a woman with a mysterious past. They were very critical of her, making her do all the cooking, laundry, and even cleaning. Natalie obediently and meekly performed these tasks, like a servant. She never told Gabriel about this, not wanting to trouble or embarrass him.

She had become accustomed to this way of life.

No matter how much others looked down on her, Natalie was willing to endure for the sake of Gabriel. Over the past three years, Gabriel seemed to only give Natalie orders at work and ask her to donate blood, forgetting that she was his wife.

In that moment, she felt exhausted. She felt like she couldn't go on anymore.

This wasn't the first time Alyssa had provoked Natalie. She could ignore all the hurtful and harsh words from the past, but this photo completely shattered her self-esteem.

Embarrassment and loneliness sent a chill through Natalie's entire body.

Had their three-year marriage been nothing but a joke?

In that moment, her expression turned extremely gloomy. Natalie made up her mind.

This joke had to end too.

Natalie found Gabriel's contact information and without hesitation said, "Let's get a divorce." Even though she felt dizzy, she knew her decision was not wrong.

Gabriel immediately called her. She could almost anticipate his anger. His voice was cold.

"Natalie, what are you doing? The doctor says Alyssa is in danger..."

Natalie suppressed her dizziness and interrupted him, smiling coldly. Her voice was hoarse and low. "Gabriel, we're getting a divorce in an hour, otherwise, let her wait to die."

She hung up the phone, then received a text message.

She received the transfer.

Not only did the man ignore her plea, but he also used money to buy her blood.

Natalie chuckled, tears filling her cheeks. This was truly ridiculous, so ridiculous.
