Chapter 1
Amelia's Point of view
I'm Amelia Roofer, an orphaned Omega, a lone wolf without a pack. It's been tough ever since my parents were tragically taken away from me by the notorious and ruthless Alpha, Damien. I was just a young ten-year-old when it happened, and ever since then, I've been living with neighbors who can't seem to resist gossiping about me.
Being an Omega in a werewolf society is no walk in the park. We're often looked down upon, and seen as weak and submissive. It's a constant struggle, with whispers and stares from my neighbors and bullying from other teenagers who are just like me. But you know what? I won't let it shatter me. I have a purpose, a burning desire that fuels me every single day – to track down the Alpha responsible for my parents' demise and make him pay for the pain he caused.
After countless years of relentless preparation, honing both my physical prowess and mental acuity, I have transformed into a formidable omega. My unwavering determination led me to meticulously study every fragment of knowledge available about Damien, unearthing any potential vulnerabilities I could exploit. And now, as I reach the milestone of turning 18, I stand poised to embark on an extraordinary quest to deliver retribution for the untimely demise of my beloved parents.
With each item I carefully place in my bag, anticipation and anxiety intertwine within me. Leaving behind the familiar walls of my home, I am willingly stepping into the unknown, fully aware of the risks that lie ahead. But my resolve remains unshaken. The fire to seek justice for my parents burns fiercely within me, and it will not be extinguished until I have fulfilled my mission.
As I step outside, the inquisitive gazes of my neighbors follow my every move. To them, I may appear as just another lost soul, adrift without a purpose. Little do they realize that I am driven by a singular purpose, a determination that sets me apart from the rest.
As I venture deeper into the forest, the air grows thick with mystery. The trees loom overhead, casting eerie shadows that seem to follow my every move. Despite the ominous feeling, I press on, fueled by my unwavering determination.
I sprinted through the dense foliage, my heart pounding in my chest as I caught a whiff of something unfamiliar in the air.
The rustling of leaves and distant growls made me halt in my tracks. I scanned my surroundings, only to lock eyes on a pack of wolves encircling me. Bracing myself for an imminent attack, I was taken aback when a figure emerged from the shadows in front of me.
"As I caught a whiff of your scent, it became evident that you were an omega. However, I couldn't help but be captivated by your breathtaking beauty. May I ask why are you all alone in this vast forest?" A tall, fair-skinned man inquired.
"Yes, indeed, I am an omega. But what I truly desire is to find a pack that will embrace me for who I am. Sadly, I have no family left. Humans mercilessly took the lives of my parents, leaving me all alone," I replied, feigning sorrow to gain their sympathy.
The man's expression clearly showed surprise as he witnessed my tears. I pleaded with them, desperately hoping they would take me in and allow me to join their pack.
"Could I possibly accompany you? May I become a part of your pack?" I asked softly, using my charm to entice the man.
Aware of their potential deception, I decided to stay one step ahead.
"Very well, my name is Norman, a gamma from the esteemed Bloody Knight pack," he introduced himself with a warm smile.
His smile was gentle and kind as he led me towards their Territory Land, a place they referred to as Arcadia.
Upon entering, I couldn't help but marvel at the beauty that surrounded me. The crystal-clear walls were a sight to behold, resembling the dwelling of an angel. Gold accents adorned the area, and a magnificent bell added to the enchantment of the place.
Norman's words sent a shockwave through me, causing my heart to race in my chest.
"Alpha Damien?" I couldn't help but ask, my voice trembling with a mix of fear and anticipation.
With a gentle nod, Norman confirmed, "Yes, Alpha Damien is the esteemed leader of the Bloody Knight pack, our beloved Alpha."
My mind immediately went back to the painful memories of that fateful night when my parents were taken from me by the very demon who now resided within Alpha Damien. I had chosen this path for a reason, and I knew I hadn't made a mistake. The fire in my veins burned hotter than ever, fueling my determination to confront him once again. However, I had to remain composed, ensuring that I wouldn't draw any unwanted attention.
Breaking the silence, Norman offered, "Anyway, I will show you to your room."
As we made our way towards the room, Norman gave an order to a woman, instructing her to fetch a dress for me. We both settled down, patiently waiting for the woman to return. After a few moments, she entered the room, presenting me with a neatly folded dress.
"Please get dressed, and I'll be waiting here," Norman said, his smile both comforting and encouraging.
I nodded in agreement and made my way to a room adorned with golden curtains. Uncertain of what awaited me inside, I steeled myself with determination to see my plan through.
Exiting the room, Norman greeted me with a warm smile and offered his arm. As we walked together, his words resonated with me.
"You stand out from the rest of the women here, Amelia," he remarked with a grin.
Perplexed, I inquired, "What makes you say that?"
"You possess a unique beauty, Amelia. Despite being an omega, you are unlike any other female in our pack," he responded, his smile unwavering. I couldn't help but smile back at his words.
Moments later, we arrived at a spacious area where people were dancing. Suddenly, a chilling voice spoke from behind me.
"You are..." trailed off the voice.
Startled, I spun around only to come face to face with the man responsible for my parents' death. He appeared angelic, with a muscular build and fair complexion that contradicted my expectations. His face and eyes exuded an otherworldly charm. Overwhelmed, I stood frozen in place as he approached me with a smile, leaving me astonished by his actions.
