Chapter 6

My entire being quivered at the sight of him clutching the werewolf's head. A deep growl escaped his lips as he transformed from beast to man before my eyes. The image of the monster who had taken my parents' lives haunted me once more.

"Amelia, hey, take a deep breath. What's going on?" he inquired.

I was taken aback by my actions and swiftly fled from him. Gripping my hair tightly, I made my way to my room.

As tears streamed down my face, I sought forgiveness from my parents. I vowed to never be deceived by Alpha Damien again. The purpose of my visit to this place would not be forgotten.

Attempting to transform into a wolf, I shut my eyes. A peculiar sensation washed over me, and to my surprise, I successfully shifted into a werewolf. Gazing at my reflection in the mirror, I was in awe.

As I leaped out of the window, my heart raced with adrenaline, propelling me towards the dense forest. The sound of my pounding footsteps echoed through the trees, but little did I know, I was not alone. Suddenly, the forest came alive with the unmistakable sound of someone following me. The crackling of twigs under their feet sent shivers down my spine.

My instincts kicked in as I reached the heart of the forest, where three mysterious women materialized before me. Their scent betrayed their true nature - they were rogues, not part of my pack.

Without any warning, they lunged at me, their intentions clear. But I was prepared. Swiftly, I evaded their sharp nails and powerful kicks, determined to defend myself. In the heat of the battle, I managed to sink my teeth into one of the women, but not without sustaining an injury to my back.

The pain was unbearable, and I let out a piercing howl. Undeterred, I launched another attack, sinking my teeth into another woman. However, my frustration grew as I narrowly dodged the sharp swipe of her nails against my cheek. In a desperate move, I hurled myself towards a nearby tree, seeking refuge from the chaos. As I landed, everything went black, and the next moments remained a mystery.

I found myself in a vast golden room, and Alpha Damien's expression softened as he reached out to hold my hand. His concern was evident as he gazed at me, a gentle smile playing on his lips.

"Good to see you awake," he greeted me warmly.

Confusion filled me as I asked, "What happened? Where am I?"

Upon hearing my question, Alpha Damien explained, "I heard your cry in the forest and rushed to your aid. I found you being attacked by rogues. Luckily, I arrived in time to save you. Why were you alone in the forest, Amelia?" His voice was filled with care and worry.

Despite his efforts to save me, I couldn't help but feel a sense of despair. I wished he had let me perish at the hands of the vampires so I could be reunited with my parents. I felt like giving up.

"You shouldn't have saved me. I'm just an omega," I murmured.

I couldn't help but be conflicted by his words. If only he knew the depth of my resentment towards him and the desire I had to inflict pain upon him. His tight embrace caught me off guard, and despite my resistance, I couldn't deny the longing to return the gesture.

Slowly, I pushed him away, unable to bear the weight of my own emotions. The conflicting sensations left me feeling uneasy, as I desperately tried to avoid falling into my own trap.

Attempting to rise from my prone position, the pain from the wound on my back still lingered. He intervened, much to my annoyance, insisting on taking care of me.

"Please, just rest and don't push yourself any further," he pleaded gently.

"I can handle myself, Alpha," I stubbornly insisted.

" I'll be the one to follow even if you don't want to," he replied with a furrowed brow.

A few days later, my wound was completely healed. Alpha Damien was always by my side, making it easier for me to recover my strength. I decided to join the wolf warriors and undergo intense training. Initially, Alpha Damien was against it, but I was determined.

After rigorous training, I ventured into the forest to battle rogues. If my charm didn't work on him, I would disrupt his peace. Knowing he couldn't tolerate me, I did things that annoyed him. He became protective and neglected his own pack as we frequently ventured out of their territory.

"Go back, Alpha, and leave me be!" I firmly instructed him.

What are your desires, Amelia? Are you truly seeking death?" he inquired, his brow furrowed, yet tears glistened in the corners of his eyes.

"I have no intention of perishing, Alpha, so kindly return and leave me be!" I scolded him.

"What are your aspirations for your life? Do not test me!" his gaze intensified.

"His true nature is revealing itself," my thoughts whispered, and I smirked at him.

I heard him inhale deeply to compose himself. Slowly, he approached me and expressed regret for raising his voice.

"I apologize if I raised my voice. I simply wish to protect you. This place is perilous for you," he spoke softly.

Both of us halted upon hearing the growls of the wolf. I found myself perplexed and followed him.

"Rogues are launching another assault on us!" He exclaimed in anger.

We rushed back only to stumble upon a gruesome wolf battle. Their once secure territory is now under constant attack. The castle is always under siege. Witnessing Alpha Damien's unmatched strength and agility, he managed to decapitate a Rogue. The rest of the Rogues fled in terror at the sight of their leader's head in his hands.

"Who dares to challenge me?!" his voice boomed, sending shivers down my spine.

I held my breath, mesmerized by his fury. The Rogues scattered in fear. As he locked eyes with me, I felt a lump in my throat. Slowly, he approached me, and I could only watch in awe at what he did next.
