Chapter 7

He hurled the head of the rogue he had captured with immense force. The madness in his eyes was unmistakable as he fixed a serious gaze upon the wolf guards. His voice carried a weight of seriousness as he issued a command for the guards to tighten security, remain vigilant, and stay alert. It was imperative to always be prepared for the potential onslaught of enemies at any given moment.

"Ensure that the security is tightened even further. I want you all to be on high alert because we cannot predict when the Rogues will strike again. I don't want any of you to suffer any harm," he instructed them with utmost seriousness.

"Is that clear?" he asked, his tone still serious.

"Yes, our esteemed Alpha," the guards responded.

He simply nodded and clasped onto my hand. Together, we strolled hand in hand.

"Please, Amelia, don't venture outside the castle. It's far too perilous out there, and I can't bear the thought of you getting hurt. The enemy lurks nearby, and I implore you to heed my words," he pleaded earnestly.

"I can handle myself, Alpha," I asserted firmly.

"And wait a minute, weren't you the one who desired a tranquil and peaceful territory? Yet, this is the second time I've witnessed you decapitating a Rogue. Did I misjudge your stance on killing?" I questioned him.

"If I don't eliminate them, they will eliminate us," he responded gravely.

"I am prepared to take lives in order to safeguard you, Amelia," he added.

"Do you know how deeply I love you?" he inquired tenderly, gazing into my eyes.

"Fucking Murderer!" my mind screamed.

His gaze melted me, and his fragrance was so intoxicating that it overwhelmed my senses. However, I refused to be deceived by his captivating eyes and honeyed words.

"Alright, I'll escort you to your room," he replied with a smile.

I expressed my desire to rest due to feeling unwell, Alpha," I informed him.

"Should I call a doctor for you?" he inquired with concern.

"No need, I simply need some rest," I declined.

"Are you certain?" he asked, still worried.

"Yes, I assure you, Alpha. There is no cause for concern," I reassured him firmly.

I observed the worry in his eyes as we made our way down the corridor to my room. After a few minutes, we arrived at my door and I bid him farewell. He responded with a smile.

"Thank you, Alpha," I attempted to smile at him.

Upon entering my room, I sat on the soft bed immediately. My heart raced, replaying his words in my mind. Why was I letting this affect me?

Fueled by anger, I cut my hand near the wrist. I had to push through the pain and anger. Grabbing a knife, I inflicted a wound on my left hand. A cry of pain escaped me as blood trickled down.

"Ahhhh!!!" I cried out.

A knock on the door interrupted me, prompting me to hastily cover my wound before opening it. A maid stood before me, bearing food.

"Alpha Damien instructed me to bring this to you," she said with a smile.

"Thank you," I replied, returning the smile.

Taking the food, she bid me goodbye. I placed it on the table, but my appetite was nonexistent.

In a matter of moments, the idea of leaping out of the window and escaping the castle crossed my mind. Despite the presence of guards, they seemed to disregard Alpha's command. Some were preoccupied with gambling, while others were fast asleep, making my escape a breeze.

"Absolute nonsense!" I exclaimed.

Without hesitation, I sprinted towards the nearby forest, completely disregarding the pain from my wound. It no longer bothered me as I focused solely on my escape. My heightened sense of smell alerted me to the presence of a deer in the distance, instantly making me ravenous. With a mischievous grin, I picked up a large rock and hurled it in the deer's direction.

The deer was struck by the rock, causing it to become covered in blood. Intrigued, I approached the wounded animal and carefully opened its stomach, extracting its guts and collecting the blood. In that moment, my wolf instincts took over, reminding me of my true nature.

Despite the potential hunger that awaited me on the long journey, I made up my mind to return home. It was late at night, and I knew no one would suspect my intentions.

Determined to reach my destination swiftly, I prepared to transform and utilize my speed. Before setting off, I glanced behind me, sniffing the air for any signs of a fellow wolf trailing me. Caution was necessary, as I couldn't afford to be followed. I made a promise to myself to return before sunrise, ensuring a swift and secretive journey.

But on my journey, there were obstacles in the form of women who stood in my way. Their faces are etched in my memory, a constant reminder of the battles I fought against them in the past. They were ruthless, and I could sense their malicious intent. They nearly ended my life on multiple occasions.

"We are happy to see you again," a woman said with a smile.

Without hesitation, the woman lunged towards me, but I swiftly evaded her assault, managing to inflict a wound on her back. The pain echoed through her screams, causing her companion's eyes to widen in shock. Undeterred, the second woman charged at me.

The two of them unleashed a relentless barrage of attacks, but I relied on my agility to evade each punch and kick. Their aggression was matched by my determination to survive.

Amidst the chaos, I muttered to myself, "This place is too far away. I must endure!"

And so, I continued to fight against the three rogues, refusing to let them overpower me.

As the woman's nails dug into the wound on my hand, a sharp scream escaped my lips. In a fit of pain-induced rage, I lashed out and sent her crashing into a nearby tree.

Despite the searing pain, I refused to give in, my blood still trickling down my arm.

With a swift move, I took down one of the women from behind, causing the other two to flee. Breathing heavily, I grappled with the woman, delivering punches to her face. Suddenly, Norman appeared before me, his expression a mix of shock and concern. Anxious, I met his gaze, unable to speak as he questioned me with a serious tone.
