Chapter 3 Seeing a Doctor
Brooklyn's sudden move caught everyone off guard. By the time the others in the room reacted, Megan let out a piercing scream. "Brooklyn, get your hands off him! You think you can just touch Sebastian like that?"
She yelled as she rushed over to push Brooklyn away.
"Ms. Turner, please don't interfere with the doctor's treatment of the patient. Don't you want Mr. Kingsley to get better?" George quickly rushed over to stop Megan, while inwardly blaming her for being unreasonable. Doctors didn't care about a patient's gender when treating them.
Megan was clearly unhappy about Brooklyn touching her Sebastian, but she knew his health was more important.
After George's persuasion, Megan calmed down, though she continued to glare at Brooklyn.
Brooklyn's hand moved over Sebastian's abdomen, her brow furrowing deeper and deeper, then relaxing, only to look at Sebastian with a strange expression before continuing her examination.
Megan watched as Brooklyn's hand moved from Sebastian's upper abdomen to his lower abdomen, and then further down, almost reaching into his pants. That was definitely not a place she should be touching.
Just as Brooklyn's hand was about to go into Sebastian's pants, he couldn't hold back any longer. Frowning, he asked, "Brooklyn, have you had enough? What's my condition?"
Brooklyn nodded absentmindedly, "Not bad."
Sebastian's face darkened instantly, and Megan screamed again. "Brooklyn, you pervert! How dare you take advantage of Sebastian's abs! I will never forgive you!"
This time, even George didn't know how to explain.
Taking advantage of George's moment of distraction, Megan rushed over and pushed Brooklyn away. She then lay on top of Sebastian, her hand moving back and forth over his chest and abdomen.
"Only I can touch Sebastian."
Megan glared at Brooklyn with a look of challenge and triumph.
Brooklyn watched Megan and Sebastian being close and she sneered, a flash of hatred in her eyes.
He was originally hers. She had invested a lot of feelings in him, but in the end, he was taken by her best friend.
Sebastian, clearly annoyed by Megan's closeness, pushed her away. "I need the doctor to examine me. What are you doing here? Can you treat me? Stop causing trouble and get out of the hospital now."
Megan, still defiant, pointed at Brooklyn and shouted, "Did you hear that, Brooklyn? Sebastian wants you out of the hospital."
Brooklyn crossed her arms and looked at Megan with amusement. "How did someone with your IQ even understand English? Sebastian wants you out of the hospital."
"No way, he clearly meant you—"
Before Megan could finish, Sebastian signaled to George, who reluctantly grabbed Megan's hand and pulled her out of the room.
Brooklyn gave George a sympathetic look. With no security around, he, as the hospital director, had to personally handle the situation. It was tough for someone his age.
"Sebastian, if you need anything, remember to call me! I'll be waiting for you! My phone is on 24/7 for you!" Megan's voice echoed from the end of the hallway, loud enough to make everyone cover their ears. She clearly wasn't giving up.
"Have you seen enough? Can you start treating me now?" Sebastian's cold voice snapped Brooklyn out of her thoughts.
"Sure thing!"
This time, Brooklyn didn't continue her inappropriate touching. She followed the proper medical procedures for the examination.
'The last time I touched this man was on our wedding night. It's a shame we never got intimate after that. It's been so long since I've seen his chocolate-like abs. It's really something to fantasize about.' She snickered inwardly.
"You're practically drooling. Am I that irresistible to you?" Sebastian's voice pulled Brooklyn out of her daydream.
Brooklyn instinctively wiped her mouth, finding no drool. Annoyed, she looked up and met Sebastian's playful eyes.
Her heart skipped a beat, and she took a step back, trying to regain her composure. "Mr. Kingsley, please don't tease your doctor. According to my diagnosis, your condition isn't serious. Just take your medication on time and get plenty of rest. And absolutely no alcohol during this period."
"Do you know why I drink?" Sebastian suddenly asked, his eyes fixed on Brooklyn.
Brooklyn answered instinctively, "Are you going to say it's for business and socializing? After all, many business deals are made over drinks."
Brooklyn didn't think there was anything wrong with what she said.
As a doctor, she had seen many cases of people drinking to the point of hospitalization, mostly for business and social reasons. She was used to these explanations.
But to her surprise, Sebastian's eyes turned cold upon hearing her response.
