Where is the Alpha's Mate

Alder's POV

The man's screams echoed in the the room.

His head injury was bleeding, blood leaking from his sides, I turned my head and sighed.

He had soiled himself twice already and I hadn't even gotten to to the best part yet.

Trailing the knife on his jaw, I smiled a sadistic smile that had him wiggling in the iron chair he was on, trying to lose the chains which bound him.

"Sit still!" I commanded.

I didn't normally torture hunters. I just killed them when I came across them, but recently, the hunters have gotten too close for comfort. I needed to send a message.

'Don't Tempt me, I'm the ruthless Alpha for a reason' I said in my mind.

"You know, it was really stupid of you to play dead" I told him, and he nodded continuously, agreeing with my statement.

"Did you think you would be able to escape with such an act like that?" I asked and he shook his head.

"Nnn...oo...”

"Well, I'm going to assume that you want to live, and I'm going give you the chance to survive. That is if you tell me her hideouts" I stated and he remained still. As if he wanted to comply.

"Remove the gag" I ordered the guards and they sprang into action, loosening the gag around his mouth. I walked towards his direction, he looked almost like he would die out of anxiety, but I didn't care, I was here for a single purpose.

"Please... Please spare me" He cried, big tears rolling down his cheeks and I chuckled.

"If you keep this up, you're going to get snot all over your chest. You don't want that, do you? I gave you a chance by removing your gag. Now, free yourself from this torture and go back to your wife by saying something sensible. stop spewing balderdash" I instructed and he kept nodding.

"I'm going to give you one last chance, and I want you to give me vital informations. Now, speak!" I roared and it seemed, my wolf was about to come out, he gulped.

"I know her, I recognized her, she's…" He stopped, his eyes wide, mouth hanging open and I turned to see Simmons, manipulating the air, stealing it from his lungs.

"You were asked to say something vital, and you continued speaking rubbish. Of course, who doesn't know who Aurelia the murderer."

Taking in large gulps of air, tears rolled down his cheeks as he whimpered.

Something wasn't right, he was being deceptive, I could feel it in my soul, something was going on that I had no idea about.

Flicking my knife, I sent it flying. It cut the man's cheek and hanged itself on the wall, behind him.

"The next shot won't miss" I warned him, "now tell me what I want to know, let's get this over with" I requested impatiently.

"I... I can't tell you where she is, because.. I don't know" He replied, shaking his head. Looking all innocent it provoked me.

"I thought you do be wise enough to know that lying to me is the worst thing you could possibly do" I looked at him, my gaze steely.

"Waterboard him" I commanded and as expected my guards hurried into action.

Tying his face completely with rags, they sprayed torrents of water on him, giving him the illusion of drowning.

This went on for an hour before I decided it was enough.

"That's enough, he should be wiser now" I said to them, and they removed the wet rags from his face.

"Are you ready to speak?" I asked him.

He couldn't even muster up the strength to reply, his head lolling on his chest as he breathed in gulps of air, his chest expanding as he did so.

"Let's leave him for now, or else he wouldn't be able to tell us anything vital. I'm sure he'll speak, with time. He surely will" Beta Simmons said, but like before I sensed that something was off. He was hiding something from me.

"If push came to shove, you could always release him, and have one of our guards trail him to Aurelia's hideout" He continued and I nodded.

That was a brilliant plan, but it had no intention of releasing the soldier just yet.

"Bring in a healer to check his wounds" I ordered a guard, "I wouldn't want him to pass out from blood poisoning or something equally gruesome" I added.

They brought someone in and I gestured to the healer to go ahead and treat the hunter, who had finally regained consciousness since our torture session.

He moaned in pain, his face contorted in agony and I smiled, satisfied, watching as the healer used pins and needles and various other instruments, poking and prodding at him.

Finally, after what seemed like forever but was actually minutes later, the healer removed the needles, wiped away some excess blood with gauze and tied it to the hunter's wound.

The healer then left and the warrior sat up, looking weak but stable.

"So, I am going to ask one more time, are you ready to speak?" I asked him and he glared defiantly at me.

"Yes" He said and I smiled.

"Let me start where you can easily answer. Did you help Aurelia escape from the dungeon?" I asked and this time he nodded his head in affirmative.

"Now where is she?" The pack soldier looked up in my direction and in that moment, his countenances changed into one of mockery.

"I already told you what you need to know, if you think I will give you other vital information then i am sorry to disappoint you, there is nothing i will give you." He didn't say anything reasonable and this infuriated me a lot. I had enough of his silence, when I pulled my claws and drove them to his heart forcing him to bleed.

"Simmons! Go out there and find that girl. Bring her to me alive!" I ordered, after they all watched him lifeless.
