The Real Devil

"No! This is just a trick of the eye. Just magic! I've seen it on TV!"

"What? How could a human be able to do that?"

"O-of course there is. The ancient magicians could do it too?"

"Tch, damn it. You really are that stubborn, aren't you? Those witches could do it because they sold their souls to us! They are demon slaves!"

"Then you're just a magician claiming to be a demon, right?"

"What? Claiming?" Leviathan seemed to be very shocked by Edelweiss' accusation. He is a real devil juste is considered a swindler. He didn't know how many humans were claiming to be demons so no one believed that a real demon had actually appeared.

"Never mind! Just don't follow me or I'll report to the police. You know that in the old days if there was a magician, the villagers would march him in groups before finally killing him. So don't let that happen to you too." He said as he walked away leaving Leviathan, the poor demon who had lost his pride.

"It's said to be paraded in a crowd? Tch, does that really happen often? You humans are really troublesome!" Leviathan looked at the black cat. He smiled because it seemed that this would take a little effort.

"Alright, you'll see about it later Edelweiss. What a real demonic power looks like."

Edelweiss opened her eyes, she felt a cold air envelop her whole body. He saw a slightly open window, a black shadow standing in the window.

"What's that?"

Meow...

Edelweiss immediately raised her head after hearing the cat's voice. She opened her eyes wide, a black cat with blue eyes was watching her from her open bedroom window. She didn't know how long the cat had been here and how the window had been opened.

"Black cat? How did you get in?" She lifted the cat who continued to stare scornfully at her. Edelweiss stared out the window at the narrow passage where the man who claimed to be a demon had been all night.

Thinking about what happened to her last night feels like a dream. The man did not move an inch from his place even though Edelweiss continued to watch. But the worst was when blue flames just appeared and enveloped his entire body. He didn't feel sick or hot at all, he didn't even get burned and hurt. He smiled coldly and it made Edelweiss feel very scared.

"Okay, what can I do? I'll give you another can of tuna." Edelweiss seemed to have no choice but to give her uninvited guest a bowl of breakfast.

A can of tuna might be enough for him. Edelweiss placed the bowl on the floor so the cat could devour its food.

"Eat! But you can't stay here! You can come in the morning and evening, ok?"

"What about me? I can come anytime, right?"

Someone spoke to her. Edelweiss immediately turned her head and saw who had presumptuously opened her refrigerator and stole her fresh milk.

"Y-you? Why are you here? How did you get in?"

"I came in from your bedroom window! You didn't notice, did you?"

"What...? How dare you enter a woman's room. You pervert...!" Edelweiss shouted as she grabbed the vase on the table and threw it at Leviathan.

Greep...

Leviathan caught the vase even though it was thrown at high speed. He remained calm as he continued to gulp milk from the box.

"Ah...this drink is delicious." He said that he didn't care at all about Edelweiss who was very shocked by what he had done.

Edelweiss felt very weak, it was too early for her to waste this much energy. She sat on the chair while touching her head which felt dizzy.

"No! It can't go on like this. I have to call the police, Ryan will know I'm in trouble. He'll be worried! He's worked so hard to get this apartment ready for me, he'll definitely blame himself if he finds out about this place not safe!" She thought. Now she really didn't know what to do. Calling the police to arrest this strange man will only get her in more trouble.

"Looks like he's harmless. He didn't attack me either. But it's still weird!" Her mind stirred. She still couldn't accept the fact that the man in front of her was a demon and not a human.

Leviathan who didn't care about Edelweissen's complaints, continued to eat the food in the refrigerator one by one. Realizing that her food stock would soon run out made Edelweiss inevitably have to act immediately.

She got up from her place and approached the man who was 13 inches taller than her.

"That's enough! You can finish all my food!" She said as she closed the refrigerator door. She was so upset that she wanted to push this man out of her house.

"Let me eat some more! I want to taste that long brown thing."

"No way! That's an expensive sausage, I won't let you eat it! Didn't you say last night you didn't need to eat? But why did you steal my food? I knew you were just a swindler!"

"I did say that I don't need to eat, didn't I? Not that I don't want to! While on the mainland, I want to try and enjoy it!"

"What do you mean? So, where have you been living all this time? At sea?"

"Of course." Leviathan smiled coldly. His blue eyes shone brightly. Edelweiss shuddered, those eyes reminding her of the color of the sea water when she tried to drown herself a few days ago.

"Are you really a demon?" She asked doubtfully. Even though she still couldn't believe it, for some reason she felt strange about this figure. It was clear that he was not human, but it was very difficult to admit that he was a demon.

"I know you doubt me. So there's no point in explaining it to you!"

"Then, try to prove it. P-prove that you really are Leviathan!"

"What proof do you want?"

"S-show your true form! Devils are terrible creatures. Not even a single human can see the demon form. So, show me your true form!" She said stuttering. Although afraid, Edelweiss just wanted to reassure herself of the very disturbing curiosity.

Leviathan was silent, he looked at Edelweiss with very cold eyes. There was a cruel and terrifying side that Edelweiss could somehow feel just by looking into her eyes.

Edelweiss body trembled, she was even more scared now. Leviathan didn't say anything but stared at it and it was very disturbing.

"Come closer if you want to see my true form!"

"W-what?"

"But remember one thing! You could pass out and stop talking after this! Are you sure?"

"W-what do you mean?"

"You want to see the real devil, don't you? Come closer and I'll show you the real devil!"

Edelweiss started to doubt, she didn't know what this man would do to her. But somehow she began to believe that this man was a real demon.

Edelweiss walked slowly even though she wasn't sure what she was doing. It was like giving herself voluntarily to a bad man who would harm her.

As she stood right in front of Leviathan, Edelweiss froze. Suddenly she couldn't move her body. Strangely, she tried to move her legs and arms, but couldn't. Her voice didn't come out of her mouth.

"What is this? What happened to me? My body can't move! What happened?" She thought. She could only see Leviathan grabbing her body and holding her tightly.

Edelweiss's eyes opened wide when she saw this man kiss her lips.
