Chapter 6 I Have Nothing to Wear!

The sunsets and nightfalls.

For Alexander's wedding, the Melville Manor was splendidly decorated.

After Katherine was brought to the Melville Manor, Alexander handed her over to a few maids and instructed them lightly.

"Take her to get dressed!"

The maids rushed forward, washed her face, applied makeup, helped her put on the wedding dress, and placed the bridal veil on her.

Katherine lowered her head and looked at the pure white wedding dress on her body, then saw Alexander's exquisite and expensive shoes already stepping in front of her.

Alexander's deep voice, as mellow as a cello, entered her ears, "Cooperate with me, and I won't do anything to you."

It sounded like he was comforting her, but it also exerted invisible pressure on her.

At this moment, Katherine realized that she absolutely couldn't run away!

Since Alexander could find her home accurately, no matter where she ran, he would still be able to find her!

Katherine gritted her teeth. "Alright, I can cooperate with you. I provoked you first, so I should pay a price! But, sir, you have to give me a specific time. How long do I have to cooperate with you? After our agreement ends, we won't disturb each other!"

Alexander had no interest in her either and said coldly, "Three months."

He didn't want to be entangled with her for too long. Three months would be enough for Warner to recover after the surgery.

"Deal!"

Katherine reluctantly accepted this not-so-long period of time and took the initiative to hold Alexander's large hand.

"Let's go, let's get married!"

Alexander paused for a moment, subtly moved, and lowered his gaze to the handheld by Katherine.

He, who had never liked physical contact, unexpectedly didn't dislike her touch.

Her hand was small and soft.

Their wedding was in a classical style.

Katherine accompanied Alexander to the church, where they had a simple and traditional wedding ceremony.

After the wedding, Alexander brought her back to the room filled with the atmosphere of newlyweds.

When Alexander entered the room, Katherine was sitting upright on the bed with her back facing him.

She hadn't changed out of her wedding dress yet, sitting quietly like a wife waiting for her husband to come home.

A hint of mockery flashed in Alexander's eyes, and he spoke in a cold voice, "You don't need to pretend anymore."

Katherine didn't move.

Sensing something unusual, Alexander walked over and stood in front of her.

Under the warm light, he saw a delicate face with long eyelashes, a peaceful and obedient expression, and a glistening drool at the corner of her mouth.

Was she sleeping while sitting?

Alexander reached out and touched Katherine's cheek. As she was asleep, Katherine lost her balance and leaned to the side, about to fall.

Alexander instinctively reached out and held her, preventing her from falling to the ground.

Katherine furrowed her brows but didn't wake up.

Looking at the small woman in his arms, Alexander was momentarily stunned.

This was the first time he saw Katherine's true face without makeup. A hint of surprise appeared in his deep and cold eyes.

She looked quite pretty without that strange makeup.

Perhaps because she sensed a stranger's presence, Katherine suddenly opened her eyes and realized that she was half-embraced by Alexander, their bodies very close.

She instinctively broke free and said in a panic, "Sir, what are you doing? I warn you, there should be a distance between men and women. We are in a fake marriage!"

He had just helped Katherine, but she turned so heartless the moment she woke up!

If he hadn't reached out to support her just now, she would have definitely fallen face down on the ground!

Alexander narrowed his eyes displeasedly, "I didn't say our marriage is fake."

Katherine furrowed her brows, wary, "Sir, are you trying to go back on your word? We agreed that our relationship would end after three months!"

Alexander chuckled, "I promised to end our relationship in three months, but I don't recall guaranteeing that nothing would happen during these three months."

As he spoke, he reached out and held Katherine's chin.

His rough fingertips had a layer of calluses, exuding a dangerous sense of power that made Katherine feel oppressed.

"Sir, as a gentleman, you can't use such despicable means!"

Katherine stared at him, forcefully shaking her head, but she couldn't break free from his grip.

Alexander leaned in closer, staring at her.

Seeing Katherine's face contorted in a frown, he coldly released her, saying disdainfully, "Don't overthink it. I'm not interested in an immature little girl like you!"

Though Katherine felt relieved, she was also very displeased.

"Hahaha, then I can rest assured! Men of your slightly older age are not my type either!"

Alexander gritted his teeth. Did she just say he was old?

Katherine poked Alexander's chest and said, "Sir, please move aside. I'm tired, and I want to sleep!"

Alexander looked down at her from his superior position and didn't budge.

Since Katherine didn't confront him, she took the initiative to walk around him.

She strode into the bathroom, and soon, the sound of running water could be heard.

After finishing her shower and stepping out of the bathtub, Katherine realized that she had forgotten to bring the clothes she needed to change into. How embarrassing!

Of course, she couldn't put on the wedding dress again. It was too uncomfortable.

After a moment of thought, Katherine poked her head out of the bathroom and looked outside.

Alexander was still in the room, sitting on the sofa and looking at his phone.

She helplessly spoke, "Well, sir, please give me back the clothes I wore today!"

Alexander glanced at her and said indifferently, "I threw them away."

"What?" Katherine gritted her teeth. "Then please lend me a clean set of clothes to wear!"

Alexander raised an eyebrow and looked at her with deep eyes. "Is this the attitude you use when asking for help?"

"Then what attitude should I use?"

"Ask me."

With a bang, Katherine closed the bathroom door.

Forget it; she would rather continue wearing the wedding dress. Discomfort was not a big deal.

Just as Katherine was about to pick up the wedding dress to put it back on, someone knocked on the door.

She opened it slightly and saw Alexander. She asked displeasedly, "What do you want?"

The scent of shower gel wafted out through the crack in the door.

Katherine was only wearing a towel, revealing her beautiful shoulders and neck. A few strands of wet hair fell on her collarbone, making her look especially enticing.

Alexander's gaze changed slightly at the sight, and he cleared his throat, handing her a set of men's pajamas.

Katherine was taken aback for a moment, then reached out to take the clothes. However, Alexander playfully lifted the clothes with his large hand. "Shouldn't you say thank you?" he said.

"Fine, thank you," Katherine said with a pursed smile and quickly took the clothes. Then, in a slightly unfriendly tone, she added, "You wish!"

After speaking, she slammed the door shut once again.

Alexander's face darkened. If he had withdrawn his hand a little later, his arm would have been caught in the door by her.

What an ungrateful little girl!

The pajamas were way too big for Katherine, making her look like she was wearing a loose sack, especially the pants that kept sliding down her legs.
