Chapter 2
The fight, oddly, enough was between Chloe Faracdo and Millie Henderson. Millie and Chloe had always locked heads with each other at every given opportunity, and their fights were usually them hurling insults at each other. However this time around they weren't hurling insults at each other, they were pulling at each other's hair.
I was surprised that such a thing could ever happen, I mean it was bound to happen, just not this way. And worse right in front of the Prince Kurt.
My eyes went to meet him and for some reason he was smiling, as if enjoying what was happening in front of him. I couldn't help but feel like he started the whole thing.
I look to Dennis to see that he had a look of amusement on his face, which was normal cause he doesn't like Chloe as well.
The guards weren't planning on separating the fight, probably orders from Prince Kurt. It disgusts me that he was enjoying watching two girls fight cause of him.
When it feels like he has seen enough, he ordered the guards to separate them, and then told the girls that gathered around him that he needs to take his leave.
They made way for him to walk past, and I saw him coming closer to my direction. By the time he got to my side he paused, looked at me from head to toe.
"I didn't see you when I summoned the all the women of the omega rank. Who are you?"
I wasn't even surprised that he didn't know who I was, I mean it wasn't even his duty to know majority of our faces, despite me being here for a very long time.
"Alexa," I said, my eyes staring at his ocean blue eyes. On closer look, he is one heck of a good looking guy, no wonder he has majority of the women here loosing their minds over him.
"Alexa," my name rolled off his tongue making it sound quite seductive than it originally is. "I'll make sure not to forget it."
And with that he left with his guards following suit, I stared at him until he disappeared into a corner.
I turn around and I saw that some of the girls were whispering amongst themselves. I just knew that I would be the topic discussion between them from now on.
I decided to walk away into the forest that was close-by. I didn't know that Dennis was following me till he called out my name.
"Alexa! Alexa wait up!"
I turn around to look at him, he stopped when he got to me.
"What was that for?" He asked, I shrugged really not knowing what the whole was exactly.
"Maybe he was just him being a usual jerk." I said walking down the clearing, my foot stepping on some branches in the process.
"It looked like he was seizing you up, or something. I didn't like, like at all."
I glanced at him from my peripheral vision, then turn my attention back to my front.
I stopped on my tracks, sighting a bird standing in our path. The bird tried flapping his wings only to fall back down, it looked like his wings were broken.
I walked closer to it, trying not to startle it. But it seems that the bird had probably given up, accepting it's fate. The bird reminded itself of me.
I gently picked up the bird, cradling it softly in my hands careful not to harm more than intended.
My hands enclosed around the bird, my eyes closed tightly as I chanted a small prayer. After a while I open my eyes along with my hands to see that the bird broken wing was all healed up.
The bird fluttered around me and chirped happily, as if saying a thank in it's language. The bird flew away I watched as it go, a smile on my face.
My attention went to Dennis who looked at me like I had grown a second head. His mouth was opening and closing like a fish that was brought out of water.
"Y-you, j-just..." He spluttered, then stop taking in a deep breath before he speaks again.
"You just healed that bird." He finally said.
I nodded my head confirming his words.
"How long have you always had this ability?"
"Since childhood, but I hid it from a lot of people. Including my parents."
"But, why?" He asked.
"Why? Why what exactly?" I asked confusion laced in my tone.
"You have such an ability and you are still a lowly ranked omega, with this ability you could be working directly with Prince Kurt himself."
I waved off what he was saying, "I don't need to work with that douchebag."
"But, you should. You shouldn't even be here with us. It's such a cool ability."
"I know, but please don't tell anybody about it. Not even a single soul, please I beg you." I said in a pleading voice.
"Ok, if you say so. But I still feel like this ability would be of good to a lot of people."
"That's the thing, I have never bothered myself to even try it on actual people before. Besides werewolves have fast regenerative abilities, so there is no need for a healer."
"You do know that the regenerative process of low ranks werewolves like us is very slow, right?"
"Well I..." Before I could finish I saw myself falling down, only to be caught by Dennis.
"Woah, are you ok?" He asked concern.
"Well, another reason why I don't heal other people is due to the side effects that it cause, and this is one of them. I feel so weak right now."
"Let's take you back to your cabin."
I saw myself nodding my head, but it felt like lead on my neck. I was slipping in and out of consciousness. I also felt nauseous too.
I didn't really know what happened next, but the next I knew I was completely engulfed in darkness as I finally fell unconscious.
