Chapter 3

Scarlet walked into her office with the others.

" When are they coming back?" She asked facing the window.

" There will be here soon" Rachel replied.

" Rachel! Tell Chance to delete all footage leading to his case" she ordered, lighting up her weed. Rachel walked out leaving her with Dracula.

" Scarlet?" Dracula called, sitting down opposite her.

" We all grew up together in Atlanta. Your mum Gloria dropped you there when you were only 6 years old. If am permitted, can I ask you the reason why you are after those who killed Ariana 20 years ago? what's your connection with them? how are you related to this case?" He curiously.

" My connection with them! My business with them, has nothing to do with you. All you have to do is just to follow my orders and do what I asked you nothing else. If you have nothing else to say please leave my office" Scarlet said, puffing out smoke from nose, ears and mouth at the same time.

" The Mob members are coming back tonight" he announced. " Am leaving now"

" This is gonna be a long night" she smirked devilishly, smoking heavily to ease the pain in her heart.

" She exudes power and confidence, but there's something more to her. What could it be? And who is Ariana, and how are they connected? I must find out."

He thought as he turns and leaves the room, his mind consumed with unanswered questions. As he walks through the halls, he can't shake the feeling that there is more to this mystery than he knows.

As he reaches his room, Dracula sinks into a chair and stares at the wall, deep in thought. Why is she so determined to average Ariana? He knows there must be more to the story. And he can't help but feel that there's something important he's missing. What could it be? He tries to clear his mind, but the questions keep swirling around in his head.

He closes his eyes, trying to shut out the thoughts. A knock from the door broke his thoughts. The door bursts open, and Rachel runs into the room, a look of excitement on her face.

"Dracula," she called, "The members are back. They say they have news!"

Dracula looks up from his thoughts, a mixture of curiosity and apprehension on his face. He follows Rachel out of the room and down the hall, wondering what the mob members could possibly have to say. When they reach the meeting room, the mob members are waiting for him.

"We have a message for you," a young guy said, his voice low and gravelly.

"Our mission was a success." Piper broke the news to him.

" Tyler was about to say that" Ryder scolded her.

" But he didn't" she stock her tongue out.

" Where are the goods? And the others?" Dracula asked.

" I thought you won't ask about us" Vincento said, coming into the room with two other girls.

" The goods are in the warehouse while the money has been transferred into the boss's account" Lotus, one of the girls said.

" We should see boss and tell her about it ourselves" Lucky, the other girls said, while the others nodded.

Tyler talked all the way to the office but as soon as they got close, the air grew cold and a heavy fog descended coming from her room. The group entered the office, and found Scarlet sitting behind a her desk, a cigarette in one hand and a drink in the other. Now they know where the fog is coming from. She looked up at them, her expression unreadable.

"So, how did the mission go?" she asked, her voice cool and calm.

" Everything went well boss. The good are in the warehouse while the money is your personal account, as you requested" Ryder said calmly.

Scarlet took a drag on her cigarette and exhaled slowly.

"Excellent work," she said, her voice devoid of emotion. "You all have done well, and you will be rewarded accordingly."

The group stood in silence, not sure what to say next. Then, without warning, Scarlet stood up and walked over to a cabinet, opening it to reveal a collection of weapons.

"Take these weapons and bring them to the Snake room," Scarlet said, her voice cold and menacing.

"You will find the captives there, and you will know what to do." The group hesitated for a moment, but then they obeyed her orders, each taking a weapon from the cabinet. They were armed with a variety of weapons, from knives to guns to chains. They left the office and headed to the Snake room.

The Snake Room was a place of mystery and terror. No one knew what went on in there, and no one wanted to find out. The only thing anyone knew was that it was a place of punishment, a place where those who betrayed the organization were sent. The torture room, on the other hand, was a place of business. It was where Scarlet conducted her interrogations and carried out her punishments. It was a place where power was exercised, and where order was maintained. It was a place that struck fear into the hearts of those who knew of its existence.

As the seven of them made there way to the Snake room, Scarlet stopped them mid way.

"You three, come with me" Scarlet said, motioning to the three girls in the group. The girls followed her without hesitation, leaving the boys alone in the hallway. They didn't know what to expect, but they knew it couldn't be good. Meanwhile, the girls followed Scarlet to the training room, where they found a group of new recruits practicing their martial arts.

"It's time to put these new recruits to the test" Scarlet said with a cold and hard voice.

As Scarlet left the training room, she could hear the faint sound of screams coming from the Snake Room. She smiled to herself, knowing that the traitors were getting what they deserved. She went to her room and shut the door. She stripped herself naked and stared at her naked reflection in mirror. She stared at the round black scar on her chest and smirked darkly. The memories of what happened flooded her mind but she pushed it away and went into the bathroom and sank into the bathtub.

As she freshened up, she thought about the victim who was waiting for her in the torture room. She smiled sinisterly.

For as long as anyone could remember, Scarlet had never smiled. She was always stoic, never showing any emotion, good or bad. But there was one thing that could always bring a smile to her face: seeing people in pain. She took a sick pleasure in watching others suffer, as if it was the only thing that could bring her any joy.
