Julie part 2
I woke up with a headache and ran to take a cold shower. Right after finishing my morning hygiene, I went down to have breakfast and Claire was already waiting for me.
"Good morning Julie." she said with a smile.
"Good morning Claire, is dad out early again?" I asked.
"Yes, my dear. But, he asked to let you know that it wouldn't be long," she says as she lifts her head to look at me "What kind of sad face is that?" she approached me. He grabbed my face and placed a kiss on my forehead.
"I just woke up with a headache. I took a cold shower, and it even got better." I told her.
"I'm happy to know that it's improved. You wake up too early, child. In addition to being attentive, she is very knowledgeable for her age." I smiled.
Claire always said that sometimes I looked like an adult, that I could always solve my problems or that I woke up too early. She also said that I would achieve things easily but, that out of fear of my father, out of fear, I hid myself from the world because I couldn't know what I would find out there. And in fact, in parts, this was true. Yes, I had my fears and fears, but, I could turn things around.
A while later, I was already in the living room, lying on the sofa, listening to You Belong With Me, when I felt someone jumping on top of me. I was quite scared, but soon I saw that it was Sophie.
"Sophie, do you want to kill me?” I mean it.
"No Ju, first we'll go to the party and who knows, maybe I'll end up with you later." she said, laughing.
"You fool" I grumbled. "What time is it? I lay there and didn't even see time pass." I said.
"It's already two o'clock in the afternoon." It's quite scary.
"What?" I said as I jumped off the couch.
"Yeah, apparently you've been lying here for a long time, my friend," he says.
"Sophie, I can't believe it! Let's do something straight away. The damn party starts at six o'clock!" I pulled her by the hand to get up.
"Why do you think I'm here?" it says.
"So let's go" I said hurriedly.
"Wow Ju, what happened to you?" Sophie asked suspiciously.
"What do you mean?” I looked over my shoulder.
"You are different. More excited about the party." I rolled my eyes.
"I just have a good feeling, nothing big." I said excitedly and smiled at her.
"Hmm, will your forbidden love be at the party?" he jokes.
When she said that, I felt a cold feeling in my stomach and, I can swear, my heart skipped a beat.
"Don't travel, okay? It's just a silly joy. After all, when was the last time my father allowed me to go out? And even more with you?" I said to her, trying to get any fanciful ideas out of my head.
"You're really right, so let's start getting ready because the night is promising!" she says.
Finally, we went up to my room to get ready. Sophie insisted on applying an easy mask on me and soon after that, we started painting our nails. I was the first to finish and ran to the shower. As soon as I got out, my friend came in to take hers too. I made a bun and then let my hair down. It was all wavy when I made the buns, Sophie did a braid, and it looked beautiful, as her hair was very straight. I put on the clothes I had laid out and Sophie did my makeup. Finally, I let go of my hair, while Sophie entered the bathroom again.
"Come on Sophie, it's already six o'clock" rushed her.
"Calm down Ju, I'm leaving now. Let me just touch up your makeup." she says.
"Again? You'll look like a wall with so much plaster on your face." I picked at her.
"Okay, are you satisfied?" She looked me up and down.
"What was it? Why are you looking at me like that? Do I need to remove it or because of something? Am I very tidy?" I asked and walked to the mirror.
"No friend, on the contrary, you look beautiful. Your hair is perfect, and it has grown a lot. It's almost reaching your waist. And her clothes. Wow, she's beautiful." He smiles at her.
"You are also very beautiful," I said gratefully.
"No more than you, but Julie can be sure everyone will want to be with you!" and here she comes with that talk about hooking up with other people.
"And this conversation again?" I rolled my eyes.
"He is well. Forget about it and let's go?" she says.
"Let's go", I remembered my father right away. "I need to check with Dad if he will take us." I said to her and this time Sophie was the one rolling her eyes.
"Do what it is!" he mutters.
When Sophie and I went downstairs, we noticed my dad talking to Joe, and the moment they realized we were approaching, they stopped talking and came to us.
"Wow, you two look beautiful, see Joe? Isn't my daughter beautiful?" says dad to his companion, making me swallow hard.
"Yes, she is very beautiful." I was embarrassed because Joe kept looking me up and down.
"Thank you Dad and Joe, well let's go, we have to go, it's half past six." I said quickly.
"Daughter, I won't be able to take you OK. I have some commitments, so I asked Joe to take them, since he's going to be nearby, is that OK?" I looked at Sophie, and she smiled, she had a crush on Joe. Yuck.
"Okay, let's go then?" I said.
"Come on girls," said Joe.
We talked the whole way. I sat in the backseat and I let Sophie go ahead with Joe. Like I said, Sophie had a crush on him, but the crush she wanted with him was like, it stayed and ended. My friend loved picking up boys. She was very crazy, but I still loved her very much.
It took us about thirty minutes to get to the party, it was already around seven and. As soon as I stepped foot in that place, I wanted to go home right away. That was crazy. I was very excited, there were lots of girls dancing on top of pickup trucks, lots of people drinking, getting clingy. And I could swear I saw some using drugs.
My God, where did I end up?
Sophie arrived looking like a crazy person. Well, good thing I was already used to her way of being. She had introduced me to several other friends of hers and then disappeared. I was alone for a while, so I decided to go outside and stay near a car to have a soda. I started to observe the place more and right away, I saw my friend making out with a cat, a very pretty one.
I took a deep breath and, I confess that I was counting down the hours until I could leave, what a trap I had gotten myself into.
