Hypnotized

During that time when my best friend left, leaving me literally left in that party room, I stood for a good few minutes in the same place just watching those crazy people have fun. When a madman almost showered me with beer, I ran outside and sat on the sidewalk to watch the movement. And let's say maybe, but just maybe, Sophie was right, she had some cute boys and, yes, they came up to me and insisted on wanting to be with me, but I didn't want to. Not at that moment, because I, Julie, just wanted peace and to enjoy my moment. I just wanted to enjoy my moment there, free from my father and his security guards.

I closed my eyes and raised my head, then opened them and admired the sky and how beautiful it was that night, full of stars. And it was at that moment that something made me turn my head to the right and see him standing on the other side. I can't even imagine where it came from, but it made my heart race and it did. I couldn't take my eyes off him and notice every detail, even from afar. I had never seen someone as beautiful as him and his beauty really stood out. The boy who was a few meters away from me was tall, around six feet tall. He had olive skin and a beautiful, charming smile. His hair was very light brown, like the color of beach sand, and his smile, my God, his smile would ruin anyone's mind. I couldn't stop looking at him and I felt silly about it, and the butterflies in my stomach only increased when our eyes met for the first time.

And he didn't back down.

That boy gave me the most beautiful smile I had ever seen, leaving me completely embarrassed about having been caught staring at him. I bit my lower lip and lowered my head because I was embarrassed. I couldn't even wipe that damn smile off my face. I gathered courage and raised my head and saw him walking towards me, making my heart race. But that charm was broken when he saw a very beautiful redheaded girl, by the way, appear in his path and start talking to him. The boy was smiling, but he didn't take his eyes off me until when he turned his attention to the redhead in front of him, she took him towards her. Kissing him with great enthusiasm. I was startled by that scene and turned my face to the opposite side, feeling bad for having seen that at the same moment I wanted to leave and that was how I went looking for Sophie. I walked everywhere and nothing about her, until I decided to go up to the second floor and look in the rooms and that's how I caught her making out with another boy, practically without clothes. Thank God they weren't there yet and, of course, I was embarrassed because I disturbed the happiness of the little guy, who gave me a dirty look.

"Ah Sophie, my bad, I didn't want to disturb you." She said, leaving.

"That's it Julie, it's a problem if you don't say what you want," she says, still on top of the boy.

"I want to leave." I bit my lip as I said.

"More soon Ju? The fun hasn't even started yet," she said and smiled nastily.

"What I know is that, well, I'm not feeling well..." she said, and I looked down, then I heard her dismiss the little guy by scheduling another time.

"Come here Julie, I know you, what do you have?" She slapped her hand on the mattress, insinuating that I should sit next to her on the bed.

"Nothing, my friend, I think I drank a little and..." I tried to come up with a story.

"Julie's going to be screwed! You don't even drink, so tell me what you hear.," he insists.

Well, she actually knew me and convinced me to tell her what happened. I know it seems silly, but it just happened, and I couldn't help it, so I told her everything, without hiding any details, knowing that later she would be able to get everything out of me.

"FOR EVERYTHING!" she shouts, smiling, scaring me.

"What was it?" I asked, confused and scared.

"Ju, you fell in love at first sight." I closed my eyes right away, Sophie was about to start that story again, hinting that I should be with someone else, and maybe he would be my great love.

"Don't exaggerate, okay? Just because I saw this guy, doesn't mean I fell in love like that, right away." I spoke seriously to her.

But just by remembering him, I felt different and that feeling was so strange because I had never felt that way. It was impossible to fall in love with someone like that, just by looking." my friend ended up breaking out of my thoughts.

"Ju... JULIE!" She said. I almost got scared.

"Oh, what's wrong?" I asked.

"See? I'm talking, and you're in the moon world." I smiled at her.

"Sorry. So, I was just thinking..." she interrupted me.

"Of him. You were thinking of him." she smiles at me.

"Sophie, seriously. I'm already getting scared of you acting like this," I said, and she rolled her eyes.

"Julie! Damn, your eyes don't lie! You fell in love at first sight with this boy." he

Smiles "Wait, remember that feeling you had earlier today?' she says and I remember instantly.

"Of course I remember, so, I still have the butterflies in my stomach that caused me," I said.

"So girl, that was it! He's the one and your feeling was about him. About you meeting him tonight." says Sophie, all smiling.

"Hmm... You dream more than me, friend. But look, changing the subject, I wasn't at all pleased that you left me alone at this party." I commented and he pouted.

"Oh my friend, I'm sorry, I'm sorry! It's just that there is a kitten here that I can't handle." I don't know where she has so much fire for this, I thought to myself.

"Even so, I don't know anyone here, and I was just out there looking at nothing." I complained.

"It's okay, it was terrible, I swear. Look, I promise it won't happen again, okay?" she says as she holds my hand.

"Okay, there's no way I can be mad at you." She cracked a smile.

"Ah, come here friend!" She said and pulled me into a tight hug.

She gave me a bear hug, and we chatted for a while. When we went downstairs, it was a huge mess and, this time for real, everyone in that place used some substances and the smell bothered me.

"My friend, I'm going to go get a drink and be right back," Sophie said, and I rolled my eyes.

"Again So? Are you going to leave me alone?" I asked her.

"I promise I won't be long, it will be quick," she says.

"Okay, bring me something too, but don't delay." I spoke to her.

"Of course not and, look, I still haven't forgotten about that matter of ours." I rolled my eyes, and she smiled, walking away soon after.

Well, I waited for her to come back for about ten minutes, and I was already losing patience with her delay. But just a little while, and I'll find a way to go away and leave her here alone.

"Boo." He speaks in my ear, making me startle.

"Oh Sophie, do you want to kill me?" I said, scared.

"No, first I want you to meet someone, a friend of mine, the owner of the party," she says.

"Oh funny. Well, he's the only one you haven't introduced me to yet, so where is he?" I spoke and looked around.

"Firstly, he was very busy and secondly, people don't let go of him for anything and don't even let anyone get close, looking like they're going to swallow him." she complains totally.

"Um... I know." I said, half doubting her.

"Speaking of which, look at him over there," she says, and I look around.

"Where?" I asked, looking around the corner.

"There, he's stopping by the door." When I turned around I got a shock, Sophie's friend was the boy I had seen outside.

"Sophie is... Him!" I spoke quietly.

"He who is Ju?" he asks without understanding anything.

"Your Friend," I murmured.

"Yes, what about him?" she says, and, man, is she really my friend? She can only pretend that she sounds like it.

"Your friend Sophie, he's the boy I told you about." I spoke at once.

With unparalleled speed, she turned her face towards me, looking like that girl from the exorcist. I'll confess I was even a little scared.

"Oh my God! Really Julie? Is that really him?" he says hysterically.

"Of course, Sophie! I'm not even crazy." I said, irritated.

"Ah, I'm going to get involved in this matter, my friend, you're lucky he's a cat. Wait a minute," she says, and practically runs away.

"Sophie, what are you going to do?" I shouted at her nervously.

"I'll call him here." she shouts back to me and walks a little further forward, so she can call him.

"No, please, Sophie, don't do this to me..." I begged softly, already feeling shame invade me. However, it was too late.

"Jordan, come here!" she shouts, catching the boy's attention.

Jordan, that name, gave me goosebumps as soon as I let it escape my lips. His name was charming and had a strong ring to it.

My friend greeted him, pulling him into a hug, and they talked for a minute, both walking towards me while talking.

"Tell me, how are you?" I heard his voice as I approached.

"I'm great, I couldn't be better and, my God, man! How difficult it is to talk to you!" she says, making him laugh.

"My bad, I swear it's nothing intentional. I was busy solving some of my father's problems and out of nowhere a crazy woman attacked me outside and kissed me." I heard him say and now, the two were standing in front of me, I couldn't breathe just seeing him standing there, so close to me and not even noticing my presence yet.

"Jeez, how horrible! But you really like it, don't you? After all, you make all the girls crazy about you." Sophie said, and at the time I felt like a complete idiot because I ended up being one of those girls.

"No, I hate that type of girl. It has nothing to do with me, but what did you want to talk to me about so much?" he asks and takes out his cell phone, I smile when I open the screen, my heart becomes so small.

"Remember what I told you about bringing a friend to your party?" Sophie asked him.

"Yes, of course I remember," he says, still looking at the cell phone screen, and continues typing "Where is she?

" And at that moment I wanted a hole to put my head in, the shame consumed me.

"Jordan, this is Julie and, Julie? Well, this is Jordan." He was so distracted that he hadn't noticed me there, but as soon as Sophie introduced us he raised his head and our eyes met.

And everything seemed to be lost at that moment, only the two of us existed at that moment.

At that moment, my heart beat faster than normal. It really was as if there were just the two of us. I could see the color of her eyes, and they were such a beautiful crystalline green, and they shone so much. I looked down at her lips and spent a few seconds there noticing how pink, full, and heart-shaped they were and right in the corner of her mouth there was a small mole that gave her quite a charm. And now, yes, this time, I can clearly say how perfect he really was, because I could spend hours and hours there watching him.
