Settling In

''Does she not like us?'' Larry asked Barry who had been so stupefied with Margaret's beauty, he found it difficult to comment.

Larry looked at his brother, Barry in shock at the way he was staring at Margaret.

''Keep it together, you're acting like a dunce.'' Larry smacked Barry so that he could dive back to reality.

''What?'' Barry rubbed his arm after Larry had smacked him a little too hard.

''Yes. All three of them'' McGuire replied to Margaret.

''I beg your pardon? How can I alone get married to all these men?'' Margaret started towards the door as she meant to leave.

''I had better go and surrender myself to the police instead of this.'' McGuire held Margaret back.

''You had better not. This is the life that is meant for you. Embrace it.'' McGuire advised.

''Why can't I just choose one out of all of them?'' Margaret looked at the three identical brothers and rolled her eyes. She knew that it was going to be a hell of a ride with them even if she eventually chose only one.

''You have to choose all of us.'' Harry was the first person to speak up for the Vandersar brothers.

Barry and Larry nodded in agreement.

''We can't watch you have one person and leave the other. It just can't work that way.'' Barry spoke up soon after, his voice soft and alluring.

Margaret soon noted that so far, she liked Barry out of all of them. Well, for that time being, that is.

''Well, Margaret, the union was actually signed by both of your ancestral families for the first opposite genders from both families to have a union. Should I say, fortunately, or unfortunately? But, it happened that the first from Vandersar family were three boys at once. If the Ulyson family also happened to have given birth to three girls at once, it would have beena fine balance but at the moment, it appears none of the boys would back down for each other, so you must ahve them all at once.'' McGuire explained.

''My Princes, is there any of you that would love to back out from the arrangement?'' McGuire knew the answer to his question, but he went ahead to ask it anyway.

All three boys shook their heads.

''You made sure we remained vorgins until our late twenties, yet you dare to suggest that...'' Harry made sure to remind McGuire that they ahd the upper hand if he wanted to force his suggestion down their throat as usual.

''I understand clearly, My Prince, Harry.'' McGuire had to agree.

''Come, Ms. Usynol, I'll show you to your room.'' McGuire led Margaret up the flamboyant stirs while the Vandersar triplets stared at her from the foot of the stairs. They all thought Margaret was drop dead gorgeous, even though Harry had something to say.

''McGuire, are you going to show her to my room?'' The mischievous last Vandersar triplet said and peeped at his brothers to see their reaction.

''No.''

''What for?''

Harry and Barry both attacked Larry at once, almost swallowing him up.

''I'm sorry, but until she officially gets married to you Princes, she has to sleep in a separate room all by herself.'' Margaret was glad to hear McGuire say that because there was no way she was ready to sleep in the same room with any of those young men just yet.

''I was just kidding, anyway.'' Larry rolled his eyes and continued to stare at Margaret as McGuire took her away.

McGuire showed Margaret to her room.

''Don't worry, you'll love it here better than in your town, Magun. There's a lot to do here.'' McGuire told Margaret and motioned to leave her in her new bedroom and shut the door.

''McGuire!'' Margaret called the name of the mysterious man for the first time.

McGuire smiled.

''I'll see you at dinner Margaret.'' With that, McGuire closed the door behind him and left.

McGuire descended the stairs with a smile on his face as he looked at the three Princes who were delighted out of their mind, they didn't know they had huge smiles on their faces, including stoic Harry, even though he tried as much as he could to conceal his.

''McGuire, why does she look so pale? Was she suffering in her former home?'' Harry asked, worry eveident on his face.

''Suffering? Well, I wouldn't call it suffering since it was all part of her destiny.'' McGuire said to the eldest Vandersar triplet.

''She looks fine to me. Tell me, McGuire, when is the marriage? I can't wait to officially have a lady to myself, a pretty one at that.'' Larry could not stop cooing.

McGuire shook his head.

''Patience, Larry. Patience. She has just arrived and I have to lay low with her because of that evil warlock, Prince Bane. You know how insecure he feels concerning you people. If he hears that there is an Usylon alive, he would loose his mind since he knows how far his ancestors went in wiping out your families. Unfortunately, they did not succeed in wiping you people out.'' McGuire started to have nostalgic feelings about what happened so many years ago, and how as a young lad in his early twenties, he saved Margaret and sent her to an orphanage while he took the Vandersar triplets to his hometown, fleeing the wrath of Prince Bane's grandfather, Jacques.
