Chapter 1 Leaving with Nothing

The airport was buzzing with noise and activity.

Isabella Beniere clutched a bouquet of jasmine flowers, a gift for her husband, Frederick Valdemar.

Frederick was coming back from abroad today, and she had promised to pick him up.

Oddly enough, even after two years of marriage, she still didn't know what her husband looked like.

As it started to get dark, Isabella waited for a long time but didn't see him.

"Did he already head home?" she wondered aloud, reaching for her phone to call the housekeeper. Suddenly, a shadow loomed over her.

In the dim light, she couldn't make out the person's features, but she felt the searing heat of his hand.

Before she could react, she was yanked into a pitch-black lounge.

The man shoved her onto a sofa, roughly tearing at her clothes.

"No..." Isabella tried to push the man away, but the more she struggled, the more aggressive he became.

Her bra was unhooked, and her gorgeous body was exposed to the man.

Isabella screamed, trying to escape, but he held her down firmly.

The man greedily sucked on her breasts.

"Don't worry, I'll take responsibility..." he whispered hotly in her ear, as his hard, large member forcefully entered her.

After the intense pain, a wave of tingling pleasure followed.

Isabella's vision blurred, and she drifted into unconsciousness.

She didn't know how long she had slept when a phone ringing woke her up.

Isabella opened her eyes to a dimly lit room, hearing the rustling sound of someone getting dressed beside her.

Her heart sank.

She didn't dare speak until the man left the room, then she breathed a sigh of relief.

She quietly put on her clothes.

Outside, she heard the man's voice and curiously peeked through a crack in the door.

She saw a man holding a phone, seemingly making a call.

"Send someone to find her. Once you contact her, tell her to come back. I want a divorce."

"Tell her I'll compensate her."

The hallway was noisy, and the man's voice was low so that Isabella couldn't hear clearly.

Recalling the man's actions last night, her face flushed with heat.

'Despite his roughness, he had made me feel the pleasure of having sex.'

'But I was a married woman.'

'Did this mean I had cheated?'

'I couldn't believe my bizarre situation.'

'I had had sex with another man and even enjoyed it...'

Feeling disgusted with herself, Isabella's phone ringing interrupted her thoughts.

It was the housekeeper calling.

Seeing the man turn his head, Isabella quickly covered her phone and slipped out the back door.

Once outside, she answered the call.

"Mrs. Valdemar, you finally answered! Where were you last night? We called you many times and were so worried."

The housekeeper's voice was urgent. "Mr. Valdemar is back!"

Isabella's heart sank. "Is he home already?"

"Mr. Valdemar is still out. He wants you to come back. The divorce papers are on the desk in the study. He wants you to sign them."

'Divorce papers?'

Isabella was taken aback.

She couldn't believe that after two years of marriage, without ever seeing her husband, the first thing he wanted to do was divorce her.

Was she destined to be alone?

Isabella sniffled. "Okay, I'll come back right away."

She quickly dressed and returned to the villa.

Inside, a lawyer was waiting.

Seeing Isabella, the lawyer stood up and respectfully extended his hand. "You must be Ms. Isabella Beniere?"

Isabella nodded.

The lawyer pushed a prepared divorce agreement towards her.

"This is the agreement Mr. Valdemar asked me to draft. He is willing to give you a compensation of one billion dollars, this villa, and five luxury cars. You can review it."

Isabella picked up the agreement and flipped through it.

Frederick, though dissatisfied with their marriage and absent from their wedding, had never treated her poorly.

Isabella had never expected Frederick's love.

Originally, Frederick was supposed to marry her sister, Angelia Beniere.

Rumor had it that Frederick was disabled, and her adoptive parents didn't want their biological daughter to suffer, so they had Isabella marry him instead.

At first, she resisted.

But eventually, she accepted it.

What did it matter if he was disabled? As long as he treated her well, she was willing to spend her life with him.

But now... even he didn't want her?

"Ms. Beniere, if there are no issues, please sign here."

The lawyer indicated the signature line.

Holding back tears, Isabella signed her name.

"The rest can be handled by the lawyer."

After Frederick hung up the phone, he looked back at the lounge, a hint of warmth in his cold eyes.

Last night, his food had been tampered with, and to detoxify, he had to have sex with this girl.

And it was her first sexual experience.

He had promised to take responsibility and couldn't break his word.
