Chapter 3 Avenging My Younger Brother
Six years ago, Frederick had kicked her out unceremoniously.
Since then, she had become the laughingstock of the entire town of Teronica.
Some people called her ungrateful, while others accused her of being unfaithful.
Her adoptive parents were so ashamed of her that they cut ties and forced her to leave.
She didn't hold any grudges about it.
The child wasn't Frederick's, after all.
Even though the pregnancy had turned her life upside down, she couldn't bring herself to terminate it.
After all, it was a living being.
Isabella decided to have the baby and moved to the countryside to escape the gossip.
The countryside wasn't as bustling as the city, but its simplicity brought her peace.
However, the beginning was tough.
She was pregnant and broke.
Carrying triplets made her belly much larger than other pregnant women, making many tasks impossible.
Fortunately, she later found a job at a local diner.
The owner took pity on her and gave her the job.
Despite being pregnant, Isabella worked hard.
She cherished the opportunity to earn money and was grateful to the owner.
But the long hours and constant grind finally wore her out, and Isabella collapsed from exhaustion.
By then, she was nine months pregnant.
She didn't remember how long she was unconscious, only that when she woke up, her babies had already been born.
She and her three children were lying in the countryside.
To this day, she still found it unbelievable.
When she woke up, she had stitches on her belly, and the babies were wrapped in clothes.
It seemed someone had helped deliver them.
But she had no idea who that person was.
The kind person who found her and brought her home said she had already given birth when he found her.
So, the babies weren't delivered by that kind of person either.
Isabella had so many unanswered questions.
But thankfully, over the past five years, her three little ones had thrived in the countryside.
Because of them, Isabella felt the warmth of family.
Her three sons were now five years old. Isabella had planned to return to get their Social Security numbers.
But she discovered that her marriage to Frederick was never officially dissolved.
Her marital status was still "married"!
Isabella was baffled.
She distinctly remembered signing the divorce papers.
She wasn't sure if Frederick knew about this.
But if he did, he probably wouldn't be happy to see her.
He might even take the opportunity to humiliate her.
Isabella took a deep breath and looked at herself in the mirror.
No matter what she might face, she decided to find Frederick and finalize the divorce.
Just thinking about the stranger who had taken advantage of her made her furious.
He had promised to take responsibility but had deceived her.
Leaving her to endure years of hardship alone.
Isabella didn't hear the commotion outside.
Paul was sitting on the floor outside the bathroom, crying.
Hugo and Justin rushed over when they heard him.
Hugo helped Paul up, dusting him off.
"What happened, Paul? Why are you crying?"
Paul sobbed and pointed at Alison's retreating figure. "She kicked me! It hurts..."
Hearing this, Justin was furious.
Before Hugo could react, Justin was already chasing after Alison.
Outside the station, Alison had just gotten into a Rolls-Royce.
Suddenly, a boy appeared in front of the car.
"You ugly creep! Get out here!"
"You think you can just bully my brother and run? No way!"
Alison saw Justin and cursed her bad luck.
Glancing at Frederick sitting beside her, she held back her anger.
Alison rolled down the window and forced a smile. "Kid, you must be mistaken. I haven't seen your brother."
Justin glared at her fiercely.
"It was you, you old, ugly witch!"
Alison's face turned red with anger.
'Who was he calling old?'
'Who was he calling ugly?'
But to make a good impression on Frederick, she held back her anger. "I'm only 28."
Justin immediately retorted, "You don't look 28 at all. More like 48."
Alison's fingers clenched tightly.
If Frederick weren't there, she would have had someone teach this brat a lesson.
Frederick frowned slightly.
"What's going on?"
Alison smiled at him. "Nothing, just a kid from the sticks with no manners. I'll go deal with him."
She opened the car door and got out.
But as soon as she did, she was stunned.
Justin was holding a small knife, grinning mischievously.
The expensive Rolls-Royce was covered in scratches.
She couldn't hold back any longer and yelled, "You little brat with no upbringing! What have you done?"
Justin stuck his tongue out at her.
Then he started circling the car, not sure what he was doing.
The car made a series of loud noises and began to smoke.
