Chapter 6

"Mommy, who was the man who came earlier?"

Audrey looked at Alfan and sighed softly. "Mommy's friend, not someone important. We've only met a few times in the past," she said, making Alfan nod in understanding.

Her son stared at the toy in his hand, seemingly not asking any more questions while Audrey could only remain silent and hopefully Alfan would soon forget his question. She did not want her son to ask questions while Audrey did not want to explain further.

However, Audrey was sure that Aldrick would definitely bother her after this. She didn't know how to behave, but she would make things more reasonable by being evasive.

Yes, only by being evasive would it be easy for her to forget. Don't let that man make Alfan find out that he was he father.

"You don't want him to keep Emely as his partner. After all, you've been a biological mother for the past few months, I've taken good care of you. If you have to meet him and he takes you away, then Mommy will think of a way for him to stop doing it."

Audrey sighed, looked the other way and decided to cook. She was familiarizing her son with life as a normal human, even though Alfan's body contained the pure and holy blood of the strongest wolf, Alpha. She didn't know how to keep this a secret from Alfan, her magic power was trying to keep it a secret but she knew that this was not the end of the matter.

Sooner or later Alfan would find out and somehow Audrey would keep it a secret.

"You're going to school soon kids, better study, Honey." Audrey said as she glanced at her son's face.

"I already studied it last night, Mom. Most of what the teacher gives for education and the subject matter are all easy. I seem to be a smart kid."

Audrey raised her eyebrows at her son's words. "Are you sure?"

Alfan looked at her and sighed. "Mommy doesn't believe me?" asked Alfan with a serious look on his face. "I can do all the problems and lessons in the book and I find making the letters very easy too. I'm going to get the book to show Mommy that I tried to make some of the letters last night."

Audrey could only stare at her son's departure with an astonished look. Audrey knew that Alfan had a diligent nature but she didn't expect his answer to be like that.

"He does like to study, but he's only learned the material that will be held at the school in 2 days, how could he possibly understand what he just learned?" Rachel muttered with an incredulous face.

Audrey was sure that her son was just bragging, Alfan was only almost four years old by the count of the human world while by the count of the Werewolf clan he was only less than two years old. Her son had grown up with pure wolf blood in him so he had grown up under that influence.

"Look Mommy, I've finished all the sample letters I had to work on." Alfan came from his room and showed me his book. "There's nothing difficult about it, Mommy. I was born smart," he said, making Audrey smile a little at the sheet of paper in his hand.

"Very good all the photos," Audrey said, making Alfan giggle proudly. "What have you written all this down?"

"Some of it Mom, a little more of almost the whole book."

Audrey smiled and looked at her son's smiling face. She was sure Alfan must have gotten that intelligence because he was the first child of Audrey and Aldrick who were both pureblood Wolves. Her son had quite a lot of abilities but Audrey hoped that his powers would not come out until the time she had decided.

Audrey never wanted her son to get involved in the fights and intrigues of the wolf world. Audrey wanted to provide comfort so that her son's life could be better and never get any danger.

"Good, then Mommy will make your favorite meal tonight. Get ready, in a few days you will enter the children's school. You must be able to get good grades and study diligently to become a smart child and be successful in the future. Mommy will always support whatever you want so that all your wishes are achieved."

Alfan smiled and nodded. He had promised a long time ago that he would make his mother happy. Only by making his mother happy would Alfan be able to give her happiness.

Tonight, Audrey sat tiredly on the edge of her bed because she had just finished finishing up the house. Back in the palace Audrey had many servants but no life much better than this, so she felt that now was much better than before.

She moved her shoulders gently, then sighed and stared at her quiet room. Even so she still felt something coming and moving closer, making Audrey take another breath.

"No need to be a thief-like figure, Alpha."

The figure she mentioned appeared from behind the wall, looking at her with a lackluster face making Audrey sigh.

"What have you been doing here? I already asked you to leave to take care of your clan, Alpha."

Aldrick walked over to her and stood before her. "Luna... How long are you going to stay here?"

Audrey shrugged her shoulders in ignorance. "It's comfortable here, there are no riots, no betrayals and I don't have any rivals either. It won't bother you that I'm here with Alfan, nor will it bother you. You should be happy, Alpha," he said making Aldrick catch his breath.

"How could I do all that while you weren't there," he said making Audrey snort softly.

"I finished the rest of the battle there anyway." Audrey said as she put her feet up and wrapped her arms around him. "You go home, there's nothing for you to do here."

"No way," Aldrick replied making Audrey sigh softly. "I can't, Luna. Come back home with me, not here anymore. I want you with me."

Audrey clenched her hands in annoyance at that remark. Aldrick had openly said that he was not interested in Audrey. Audrey already knew that this man must have come for some reason.

"I don't know what you need and I don't understand why you came here. Aldrick... go home, if you stay here you'll just cause trouble. Alfan and I have been living well and haven't had any trouble. You shouldn't think too much about us anymore. Go home..."
