Chapter 2: Male Hormones
Emily also saw Henry's face clearly and felt a little afraid: Why is this person's gaze so sharp? Just one look can send chills down one's spine!
Emily quickly lowered her head to avoid Henry's gaze. As a university lecturer, she faced various gazes from students every day, but she had never encountered a gaze like Henry's before. Just one glance was enough to leave a lasting impression!
Lost in thought, Henry was suddenly drawn to the sight of the car door being opened at the driver's seat. To his surprise, the person getting out of the car was his foster parents' son, his non-biological brother, Andrew.
Furrowing his brow, Henry quickly turned and walked in the opposite direction. "Henry?" Andrew, who had gotten out of the car, glanced at Henry but wasn't entirely certain. Henry had spent six years in prison, and Andrew hadn't seen him for eight years.
When Andrew left their hometown, Henry was only sixteen years old, but now he was twenty-four. The once naive teenager had transformed into a sturdy man.
Upon hearing this, Emily looked up at Henry once again. Henry stopped in his tracks, his emotions in turmoil, and turned around to ask, "What is it?"
"It's really you, Henry, I'm your brother!" Andrew walked over and embraced Henry tightly, exclaiming with great excitement, "When I left home, you were still a child, and now you've grown into a strong man!"
Such a transformation in prison was not something to be proud of. The contrast between Henry's indifference and Andrew's joy was stark.
Emily's beautiful eyes stared at Henry without blinking, thinking to herself, "He's truly ruthless. This trip was not in vain. With someone like him, dealing with Isabelle will be a piece of cake."
"Emily, come over and meet my brother, Henry. Henry, this is your sister-in-law," Andrew said, introducing them.
Emily smiled faintly and nodded at Henry.
Oh my goodness! How could such a beautiful woman marry Andrew? What happened to Lisa? Did Andrew kick her out?
Henry looked at her expressionlessly, then turned his gaze back to Andrew and asked, "What are you here for?"
"To take you home!"
"Which home?"
"Harbor Springs, of course. It's your sister-in-law's and my home now, our home!"
When did Andrew start considering them to have the same home?
"I'm sorry, my home is in Summit Ridge Village." With that, Henry turned around and left.
Indeed, he was ruthless and cold.
As Emily regained her senses and saw Andrew's appearance, she scolded him again, "Andrew, you coward! Do you have any ounce of manliness left? You endure the pressure from your superiors and colleagues at work, get bullied by hooligans in the neighborhood, and now you come here only to be belittled by your younger brother. A man like you is better off dead!"
As Emily's words fell, Henry suddenly turned around and silently walked towards her.
Emily was startled and trembled in fear. In that moment, she wished she could turn and run, but her legs wouldn't obey her.
She regretted agreeing to Andrew's request to bring Henry home and accompanying him to the federal prison.
"Henry, Henry..."
Andrew was also taken aback and quickly chased after Henry, embracing him from behind.
Henry forcefully shook Andrew off, causing him to stagger and almost fall.
When Henry stood in front of Emily, she felt like she couldn't hold her urine any longer. But soon, she calmed herself down.
A strong masculine scent emanated from Henry, which invigorated her. Emily couldn't help but inhale deeply, feeling a powerful stimulation.
My goodness, this is the scent a real man should have!
