Chapter 7: Leave this place quickly.

Andrew returned home and found Emily cooking in the kitchen, while Henry sat on the sofa like a wooden statue.

"Henry," Andrew said as he walked up to him without even closing the door, "you should leave now. I'll take you back to the village."

Emily, who was washing vegetables, immediately stopped and listened intently.

Henry, with a blank expression, replied, "I was already on my way back, but you brought me here. I'm not going anywhere until I finish what I came for."

"I have nothing for you to do here. You already dealt with that girl from the gang upstairs, and she won't dare to provoke us again. Please, leave."

"Andrew," Henry said coldly, "if I've dealt with her, why are you rushing me to leave? If my guess is correct, just like when you went to the village chief's house, you kneeled down to someone, didn't you?"

Andrew's face turned pale, then red, and he was momentarily speechless.

In the kitchen, Emily furrowed her brows, thinking, "Is this true? Did Andrew, this weakling, really kneel down to that woman?"

Henry continued, "Even though you kneeled down, she still didn't agree to let me go. Is that why you're urging me to leave, as if you're in a hurry to visit a grave? I have to say, Andrew, you were a coward when you were young, but now that you're an adult, you're still the same. You let people bully you in the village, and now even as a university professor, you're still being bullied. When will you ever stand up for yourself?"

Emily listened, feeling a surge of anger. She then turned to Henry and said, "I know your brother is a coward, but I didn't know he could be this pathetic. Since you know he kneeled down to that little witch, and you want to save face for him, why don't you go upstairs and give that witch a good beating? Who do you think you are, causing trouble at home? Besides, even if he kneeled down to someone, wasn't it for your sake? Wasn't it to prevent her from calling the police or getting some thugs from the society to retaliate against you? I don't see a single decent person in your family. One is weak and cowardly, and the other is cold and heartless. You don't want to leave? Fine, if you're capable, why don't you kill that little witch upstairs first, and then kill all the teachers and colleagues in our school, because according to you, they all bullied your brother."

Upon hearing this, Andrew burst into tears on the spot, "Emily, you've ruined me. He really will go and kill someone."

Emily was taken aback.

Andrew had always been weak, but he had never cried like this before.

Emily started to regret a little.

She had been consumed by anger and couldn't control herself.

Seeing Andrew so terrified, she suspected that Henry might actually go and kill someone.

If he really did, then she...

Emily didn't dare to think further.

She even found her outburst of anger inexplicable.

She had witnessed Henry's ruthlessness with her own eyes, showing no mercy even to someone like Isabelle. She was starting to feel a bit fearful of him herself.

How could she be so unafraid and lose her temper like that?

Emily looked at Henry, feeling a bit lost, wondering what had gotten into her today.
