Chapter 8: You Don't Have Much Time Left.
When Henry was young in the village, because his foster parents were honest and he was an adopted child, he was often called a wild or mixed breed and was frequently bullied. Some children, older than him but younger than Andrew, would pick on him. Every time he came home and told Andrew, he hoped his brother would stand up for him, but Andrew was too scared to say anything. Because others had older brothers too! In Henry's memory, among all the older brothers in the village, Andrew was the most cowardly one. Since then, Henry knew he could only rely on himself. Especially when he was sixteen, the village chief's son bullied Andrew, and Henry took a knife and intervened. It happened to be a rainy and slippery day on the hillside. Austin slipped and rolled down more than 20 meters when he tried to run away. Henry didn't give up and chased him down the hill, but was eventually stopped by the village security officer and others. Since then, no one in the village dared to provoke him. If anyone dared to bully Andrew and his foster mother, Henry would just point at the person's nose and say, "Make sure to lock your door at night." Scared, the person wouldn't dare to sleep for several days and had to come to his foster mother to plead for mercy. In Henry's memory, no one dared to scold him after that. Even in prison later on, let alone scolding him, if someone even glanced at him, he would start a fight right away. Normally, after Emily's outburst, Henry would definitely have gotten angry. But to Andrew's surprise, Henry didn't get angry today. He calmly said to Emily, "I'm not leaving, I'm waiting. If the police don't come, she will definitely call people from the society. Have you never seen a murder with your own eyes, even at your age? I'll let you have a good look later." Listening to his tone, murder seemed as casual as slaughtering a chicken, and he wanted to show it to me? Emily remained composed on the surface, but her spine felt a chill. Just then, footsteps could be heard outside, with Sean leading the way. "Isabelle," Sean shouted from outside the window to the second floor, "Where are you? Come down quickly!" Emily and Andrew peeked out and both of them felt weak in the legs. Sean had brought at least seven or eight gangsters with him. Each of those gangsters had dyed hair and tattoos on their arms. "Henry, you need to leave through the back door," Andrew stumbled and rushed to Henry, stuttering as he spoke. Emily stood there trembling. She also wanted to tell Henry to run, but it was as if her consciousness was offline, not knowing at all what to say or do. Henry turned a deaf ear and sat on the sofa, lost in thought. Isabelle suddenly appeared at the door without a sound. She looked the same as when she had just gone upstairs, disheveled, covered in dirt and scratches, and barefoot. She coldly looked at Henry and calmly said, "Kneel in front of me, pick up what you threw into the trash can, and swallow it!" Henry remained indifferent, as if what Isabelle said had nothing to do with him. But in his mind, he was thinking: Are beautiful women all brainless? Emily was like that, and so was this woman. However, Henry liked women like her, they were spicy enough! "Isabelle..." Andrew just started to plead, but Isabelle stared at him without a word, and he was too scared to say anything. At this moment, Emily also wanted to plead with Isabelle, but her mouth and tongue wouldn't obey. "Isabelle, Isabelle..." Sean's voice came from outside the window again. Isabelle stared at Henry and said, "You don't have much time left." Henry continued to look at Isabelle expressionlessly. Isabelle realized that giving him more time was pointless. Sean was right outside, but she picked up her phone and said to him, "Sean, come in, it's this house on the right side of the first floor." Sean and his men rushed in. Isabelle took two steps into the room, then turned around and gave Sean a look, casually saying, "It's him!" After that, she turned back to the window, as if what was about to happen had nothing to do with her, and waited for Henry to be beaten.
