The Alp ran back up the mountain. He needed to eat, his stomach was hurting and he was using a lot of energy running. He following the scent, it was growing stronger. The Alp slowed his pace to a walk, finally stopping far enough away so the human couldn’t see him. He had clear sight of an old lanky man singing a song and building something. He was drinking something clear from a bottle while he worked.Old man Rodger had lived his life in these mountains and made a meager living off of selling his moonshine. All the folks know Rodger made his moonshine. When the men got together for a game of cards one would make the drive up to Rodgers cabin and buy a few bottles of moonshine.

The scent of the old man wasn’t as sweat as the girl Rachel, he couldn’t be to picky right now. Meat was meat. Maybe his soul would be worth taking also, he could use the extra energy. The Alp slowly and silently crept through the trees, stepped through the grass and ferns till he was just inches from Rodger's back. He was singing an old southern song while building a copper still and drinking a little of his moonshine, not noticing the sounds of the forest going quiet.

Rodger turned to reach for a large rock when he finally noticed the birds weren’t singing. He slowly turned his head, sucked in his breath when he came nose to nose with the ugly ass Alp.

Just as he opened his mouth the Alp pulled back his fist and lunged it through Rodger's chest, grabbing his beating heart and pulled it out within a matter of seconds. Blood and tissue was dripping from the Alps hand and forearm.

Rodger fell on his back on top of the soft forest ground with a muffled thump, a fist size hole in his chest.

The Alp raised the blood dripping heart and brought it to his opened mouth, his razor sharp teeth were dripping with saliva waiting in anticipation for the iron rich blood soaked heart. He brought the heart to his lips and ran his long, pointed tongue over it and captured some of the warm blood on the top and pulled it back in. He leaned his head back and closed his eyes and savored the flavor of the wonderful human blood.

He raised his head back up and bit half the heart in his mouth and devoured it within seconds. He started going into a feeding frenzy he couldn’t control it and with lighting fast speed he ate the other half of the heart and bent down and devoured every inch of meat and flesh, only leaving brittle bones on the ground. The Alp didn’t even try to take Peanuts soul, once tasting the succulent meat all he could think about was eating the old man.

After the Alp was finished devouring the old man, he felt refreshed, full and strong. If the sweet succulent human meat could make him feel this strong then another another human could make him feel invincible.

The Alp decided that when he mated he could easily create his own kingdom. Swinging around with blood on his face and hands he flew up the mountain, running up over the mountain and over to a river.

Leoma left Levis and drove to her old houseboat. On the way home she kept thinking about Galinn and the sexual pull that she felt towards him. He was oozing sexiness and just the thought made her thighs clench together". And did I mention strong, tall and gorgeous? " Talking to herself, for the life of her she just couldn't get his face out of her mind. Squeezing her legs shut, trying to stop the sensation building between her thighs. The tingling feeling just wouldn’t go away. She was chubby and someone looking as good as he did could get any woman he wanted. There would be no reason he would want her, oh the things she could do with him.

Driving down the two lane bridge that crossed the River she turned down the small lane and pulled up to her home.

All five of the old, small, aging houseboats have Christmas lights strung across the decks year long and some of the owners would turn them on every evening. Plastic chairs were on the front decks along with a few gas grills.

The smallest just happens to be Leoma’s. She’s been living there for the last three years since her 20th birthday.

Parking her car along the lane beside her houseboat. Turning her car off and exhaling. She was mentally and physically exhausted. Getting out of the car she walked up to her deck.

Stopping be the chairs, she softly fell into her plastic lounge chair and looked up to the sky, watching the clouds, " how could anything like this be happening ?" After half an hour she finally stood up and went straight to her tiny bedroom. It was an actual bedroom-a room just big enough for a bed and nothing else.

Tired she decided to take a nap. Stripping off all her clothes she crawled on top of her covers. Laying with her legs spread out. Letting the breeze from her small window cool her off.

Thinking of Galinn, his perfect smile tugged at her heart, there was loneliness about his smile though, like he remembered something that he had forgotten a long time ago.

Finally she drifted off to sleep.

The Alp ran along the river when he cought a female scent. He stopped and turned his head in all directions trying to find what direction the scent was coming from.

The scent blew and he picked the stronger scent up.

Taking off running, following the scent till he reached a line of houseboats along the bank of the river.

Silently like a predator he walked along the bank, stopping at Leoma's boat, he sniffed.

The smell was stronger at her boat.

"I will mate this human."

He said, Softly growling from his chest that only an immortal could hear, he decided this human must be a female from her sweet scent.

Slowly, silently he walked to the front door, as his body touched the wood, he turned to a black mist, on the other side of the door he transformed back into a solid body. Lifting his nose he sniffed and closed his eyes as his nose flared with the desire to mate.

Walking softly down he took in the furniture and the pictures on her wall. So different than The Forbidden World where their dwellings are caves with a few pieces of furniture.

At the end of the hall he walked thru her bedroom doorway and saw Leoma sleeping..

Standing at the door of the bed watching her breath. He could see the glow of her soul. The Ancient told many stories of the other worlds but the one about the humans and the glowing souls always captivated the Alp.

If I can take a human soul I can defeat anyone or anything that will try to take me back. Thinking to himself his eyes turned black. His breathing hitched up.

Silently he crept up to her, waiving his hand over her face a black mist started to swirl. Like a tiny tornado, he flicked his fingers and the mist drifted in to her nose as she was taking a breath.

"This will keep you asleep till I decide to wake you little human." He whispered to her

Bending down he pushed his arms under her naked body. Being careful not to hurt her with his talons. Lifting her up, holding her close to his leathery chest. He lowered his face to her kneck and sniffed her scent. Trying to burn Leoma's scent into his memory.

He turned and walked out of the boat with her in his arms.

Walking silently and slowly past all the boats with her in his arms he jogged once he got to the last houseboat.

Taking off running with Leoma into the forest and up the mountain. Dodging the tree limbs and all the fallen logs on the ground. Leoma was getting small cuts from the leaves that she was brushing up again as the Alp ran.
