Chapter 4

The drunk had the good grace to look confused. “We do what?”

At least he isn't being an asshole about what he wants. It is more than I can ask for. “I know what you want. I’ll just put him to sleep before we—“

“Before we do nothing, lady. I know what you’re thinking but I want you to get that out of your mind because it’s not happening.”

I was confused and I bet it showed on my face, “But, I don’t have any money to pay you back?”

“And I’m not requesting for any.” he frowned, raking a jerky hand through his messy, overgrown hair. “I don’t need anything you’re giving. If you wanna do me any favors, the best you could do for me is to get well as soon as possible so that I could get outta here.”

“Oh,” I couldn’t believe what I was hearing but I was too grateful to look a gift horse in the mouth. “Thank you so much,”

He didn’t react.

"Who are you?" I asked him, curious about this homeless filthy drunk that suddenly provided a home and some money for me and my baby without any hidden agenda.

"You must be hungry, I'll go out soon to get food for you too. You can't take care of a baby on an empty stomach." He said, as if my previous question had not been asked.

I watched him leave, biting my lips against the headache pounding my head. I didn't feel well.

But I was grateful for his kindness, he gave me a roof over my head and some food for my baby until my body healed, I didn't have to worry about where to go next, who to run from. I didn't have to worry about money.

Ludale McCully was boiling with rage, his head spinning with thoughts of Jasamina. He had been planning for her ever since he lost her, and he swore that she would pay for her betrayal. His mind was consumed with thoughts of what he would do to her the moment he laid his hands on her. She would never escape his grip again, he would make sure of that, even if it meant that she would end up in a coffin.

"How dare she run away from me?" he thought, fuming with anger. This was not the first time that she had run away, but this particular escape had him seeing red. It had been days since she disappeared, and there was still no trace of her.

"Did she go home?" he wondered, but quickly dismissed the thought. There was no way that she would be at home without her parents telling him about it. After all, he was the best thing that had ever happened to their family, or at least that was what her mother always said.

But just in case, he decided to call her parents. Ludale knew that as long as he provided them with cash, they would support him in any way that he needed.

As he paced back and forth on the tiles, his anger boiled over. "That bitch," he cursed under his breath.

"When I get her back, I'll make sure to beat her up so badly that she won't ever think of escaping again," he thought, his rage fueling him.

The last time she had escaped, he had beaten her up and shared her with two of his chief of staffs. Watching them enjoy her young body had turned him on, and this time around, he planned to have all the men in the house find sexual satisfaction from her body while he watched. The mere thought of it had his dick hardening.

"No one dares run away from me, not even her. She is my property, and I'll do whatever I please with her," he thought, his anger reaching a new height.

Unable to wait any longer, he dialed her parents' number, confident that sooner or later, Jasamina would try to contact them, and when she did, they would drag her back to him, and she would be done for.

"Hello my boy," Doreen Rutherford, Jasamina's mother, answered the phone.

"Your boy?! Have I done anything wrong?" he made sure to sound concerned. "All I did was to love my princess. You can see that our child was the product of that love. I gave her everything, and how does she repay me? She ran! She escaped! She makes a fool out of me!"

"I’m so sorry for that, my son, she’s not here either. We heard about it from the news." Mr. Rutherford yelled. It seemed like the phone was on speaker.

"I'm so, so sorry, my boy. We'll find her and make sure she gets back to you. I have no idea what got into that silly head of hers after everything you've done for us. Do not worry; Jasamina would be back to you very soon," her mother assured.

Ludale grinned into the phone. He just couldn't help himself.

"Thank you. If there's any news at all, no matter how small, I'll like to hear it. I don't know why that flighty girl would run away from me every time. I try my best for her but I guess she prefers men closer to her own age."
