Chapter 4 Preparing a Coffin

After leaving the Lewis Family, Chloe's face was streaked with tears as she cried, "Larry, I'm sorry; it's my fault. I can't even make decisions about my own marriage."

Larry held her hand and said, "Didn't your Grandpa said that as long as I can secure the Legion Group's order, he would acknowledge you as my wife?"

"But it is the Legion Group," Chloe said with a worried look.

She knew about the Legion Group.

It was an international corporation that had only recently set up in Sunset City, and the Legion Group's orders were mostly controlled by the Four Great Families of Sunset City.

Larry smiled and said, "How will we know if we don't try?"

Chloe suddenly remembered something and said, "I just remembered that I have a high school classmate who works at the Legion Group. She's a department manager. I'll go find her and ask for help. She should be able to get us a meeting with the higher-ups at the Legion Group."

"Alright."

They hand in hand toward home.

Chloe’s family lived in the same residential area as the Lewis Family's villa, though the Lewis family headquarters was a grand villa, whereas Chloe’s family lived in a high-rise apartment..

They strolled home, and when they arrived, Maria was already back, but she wouldn't let Larry in.

Larry was helpless and said, "Chloe, I'll head back first."

Chloe had no choice but to nod.

The top priority now was to secure the Legion Lord's order and gain the Lewis family's acknowledgment of Larry.

After entering the house, she began contacting her long-lost classmates.

Larry, on the other hand, returned to the Imperial Residence, the most luxurious villa area in Sunset City.

He sat on the sofa, smoking a cigarette, then took out his phone and dialed a number. "Have the chairman of the Legion Group come to the Imperial Residence."

He hadn't wanted to use his privileges as Dragon Lord.

However, to secure the Legion Lord's order, he had no choice.

Soon, a middle-aged man appeared at the Imperial Residence.

The man was about fifty years old, wearing a suit, slightly overweight, and balding.

"Dragon Lord."

The man entered the Imperial Residence and immediately knelt on the ground.

He was the person in charge of the Legion Group in Sunset City, a member of the Evans Family from the Capital, named Leo Evans.

Before coming, he already knew the identity of the person he was meeting.

This was the Dragon Lord, renowned in Southwild, a fearsome figure who struck terror into his enemies as the Black Dragon.

Facing such a prominent figure, he dared not show any disrespect. Even as he knelt, cold sweat dripped down his back.

"Leo?"

Larry put down the documents in his hand, glanced at the kneeling Leo, and waved his hand, saying calmly, "Stand up and speak."

"OK."

Leo then stood up, his head covered in sweat, but he didn't dare to wipe it.

At this moment, he was trembling with fear, not knowing how he had offended this fearsome figure or why he had been summoned.

"Tomorrow, my wife Chloe will go to the Legion Group to ask for a five-million-dollar order. You must personally receive her and ensure she is treated with the utmost respect."

Upon hearing this, Leo sighed in relief and smiled obsequiously. "Dragon Lord, no problem at all. Not just five million, even it were thirty million, as long as you need it, I'll arrange it for you."

"Remember, my wife's name is Chloe, and she is from the Lewis Family," Larry said.

"I've got it,," Leo replied.

"That's all. You can go now," Larry said.

"Yes, sir."

Leo sighed in relief and quickly left.

After leaving the Imperial Residence, he was drenched in sweat.

He was a member of the Evans Family, the head of the Legion Group in Sunset City. Even the Four Great Families of Sunset City had to be cautious around him, but in front of Larry, he had no courage to defy Larry.

After Leo left, Larry stood up and muttered to himself, "I've been back for over ten days and haven't gone to pay my respects."

He walked out of the Imperial Residence, intending to take a cab to the ruins of the Bennett Family in the suburbs.

However, at the entrance of the Imperial Residence, there was a business car without a license plate, and in front of the car, Frank, dressed in a black tank top with a dark complexion, stood by the vehicle.

Larry walked over and glanced at Frank. "Didn't I tell you to take everyone back?"

"Dragon Lord, everyone has already returned to Southwild, but I stayed behind. Dragon Lord, please let me stay."

"Call me Mr. Bennett. There is no Dragon Lord in Sunset City."

"Understood."

"To the Bennett Family cemetery."

"Mr. Bennett, please get in the car."

Soon, Larry arrived at the former location of the Bennett Family villa.

The once grand Bennett Family villa had been burned to ashes, and now there were only graves.

The once number one family in Sunset City had become a ruin.

The sky was dark with clouds, and rain poured down in torrents.

Larry, dressed in a brown trench coat, stood before the Bennett Family cemetery. Frank stood behind him, holding an umbrella.

Larry suddenly dropped to his knees.

Ten years ago, the Bennett Family was the number one family in Sunset City.

That year, he was eighteen.

His father Ryan Bennett married a stepmother that year.

His stepmother was named Roxanne Hall, now a prominent figure of the Hall Family, the leading family among the Four Great Families of Sunset City.

Roxanne set a trap, slept with his grandfather, and falsely accused him of drugging her, ruining his grandfather's reputation and turning the Bennett Family into a laughingstock in Sunset City.

That same year, Roxanne reported Ryan for embezzlement and crime. Ryan was so enraged that he had a heart attack, but Roxanne did not seek medical help. Instead, she pushed Ryan from the third floor, claiming publicly that he had committed suicide out of guilt.

After Ryan's death, the Four Great Families, led by the Hall Family, gathered at the Bennett Family estate, killed his grandfather, and kidnapped over thirty members of the Bennett Family, demanding the family heirloom, the Artwork of Moonlit, which had been passed down for a thousand years.

After obtaining the Artwork of Moonlit, the Four Great Families set fire to the Bennett Family estate and divided up its assets.

"Dad, you are guilty. You are the sinner of the Bennett Family. You shouldn't have married Roxanne. You shouldn't have brought that treacherous woman into our home."

Larry stood in front of the grave, crying out loud.

He hated his father for falling in love with the wrong woman, which led to the downfall of the Bennett Family.

He hated Roxanne even more, and he hated the Hall Family, the Johnson Family, the Garcia Family, and the Wilson Family.

It was these Four Great Families that pushed the Bennett Family members to death.

"Grandpa, you died so unjustly. I swear, I will bring the heads of the leaders of the Four Great Families to pay respectsto the Bennett Family."

"Dragon Lord, please take solace," Frank said, holding the umbrella.

He had never seen Larry so heartbroken.

Even when facing thousands of enemies, Larry had never shown fear, but now he was crying bitterly.

"Dragon Lord, tonight, the Hall Family and the Dragon Soar Group are holding a celebration banquet to celebrate the permanent agreement between the Dragon Soar Group and the Legion Group. From now on, the Legion Lord's orders will be prioritized by the Dragon Soar Group. Only after the Dragon Soar Group has chosen will the remaining orders be available to other groups. Today is also the 80th birthday of Kevin Hall, the patriarch of the Hall Family. The Hall Family is hosting both the celebration banquet and the birthday banquet together."

"The Dragon Soar Group."

Larry clenched his fists tightly.

The Dragon Soar Group was originally a Bennett Family asset.

Now, it had become the private property of the Hall Family.

He slowly stood up with a hint of murderous intent on his resolute face.

"Prepare a coffin. We're going to the Hall Family to collect some interest."
