Chapter 2 This Woman Is Too Wild

"My video has been sent to the email, and this account password is shared between me and a friend." Elsa shrugged indifferently, leaning closer to Luke. "Luke, if you kill me now, I don't mind tarnishing the Taylor family's reputation a month before your wedding."

Luke's thoughts raced quickly, leading him to a certain conclusion. He thought, 'She's aware I'm on the brink of marriage, yet she still has the audacity to threaten me in this manner. What a sly and unscrupulous woman!'

Luke looked at Elsa's flawless smile and reached out towards her slender neck.

The ambiguous red marks on her fair skin were left by him last night. Somehow, in that moment, his breathing became somewhat heavy.

Luck suddenly gripped her throat, but she just smiled without resistance.

It wasn't until her face turned pale and her smile was about to be gone that Luke finally let go.

"If you want money, come to the 16th floor of the Taylor Building after nine. If you don't want money, do whatever you want, as long as you can bear the consequences," Luke said coldly, picking up his clothes and leaving the room.

After that, Elsa couldn't hold back anymore. She slid to the floor, shedding all pretense. Tears began to stream down her face.

"How are you?" A video call from her friend Chloe Clark popped up. Chloe looked at her with concern.

"I'm fine, really." Elsa took a deep breath, holding back her tears. "Chloe, find out Luke's next itinerary for me."

Chloe hailed from a prosperous family. While they didn't quite reach the Taylor family's level of riches, they were still among the well-to-do households in Maplewood City. This hotel was a part of their estate, which would make Elsa's endeavors considerably easier.

"Elsa, is this worth it?" Chloe glanced at Elsa, her voice trembling with emotion. Seeing Elsa throw off her usual mask at the moment, Chloe felt a stab of sorrow.

‘Of course, it's worth it,’ Elsa thought to herself.

Since the moment her mother was driven to jump off the building by Phyllis and Karen, she no longer lived for herself alone.

Moreover, the engagement between the Taylor family and the Miller family belonged to Elsa at the beginning. Taking back what belonged to her posed no problem.

On the 16th floor of Taylor Incorporation, Luke called the receptionist at the front desk and asked for the third time, "Is someone looking for me?"

There came a knock on the door at this moment. It was his assistant, Max Thompson.

"Mr. Taylor, here are the documents you requested."

Elsa, 20, was a top student in Maplewood City three years ago. Two years ago, she went abroad as an exchange student to a world-top 10 university. She won full scholarships for two consecutive years. She returned to the country this spring after interrupting her studies.

Max said, “Her current occupation is a beverage salesperson at the Diamond Crest Clubhouse.”

Luke slammed a thick stack of papers onto the desk.

"Max, is this how you deal with your work?"

Who would believe that a high-achieving student who studied abroad would interrupt her studies and go to sell alcohol after returning to the homeland?

"It's a bit crazy, but I had someone to investigate her academic information." Max quickly flipped through the files and showed some information to Luke. At first, he didn't believe it either. Who would have thought that the woman who tricked Luke into bed would show such a dramatic dichotomy?

"I got it." Luke waved irritably, gesturing for Max to leave.

He lit a cigarette, recalling the instant when Elsa looked at him through the smoke, then irritably stubbed it out in the ashtray. He thought, ‘Why would a high-achieving student from a prestigious university interrupt her studies to return to the country and work as a lowly beverage salesperson? I’m afraid that she must have experienced some upheaval, right?’

Undergoing upheaval should not be used as a justification for her to trick others into giving her a better life. Luke recalled her menacing him into marriage, a memory that stirred a surge of revulsion in him.

The next few days were calm, as no scandals about the Taylor group were in the media.

This woman seemed quite composed. After all, Taylor Incorporation was very powerful. Perhaps she was afraid because of this factor. Luke gradually wanted to forget about this matter.

It wasn't until he met Elsa again at a card game in Stellaria City that he realized it was not easy to get rid of her.
