Chapter 3 Don't Reject Her

Elsa wore a red halter neck dress, revealing her beautiful shoulders and slender arms, sitting casually at a table surrounded by men. She had been winning continuously, and there were already a lot of chips in front of her.

‘The scratches left by me that day had vanished. It seems that her skin's healing ability was quite good,’ Luke thought.

"Luke." The men around respectfully stood up to greet Luke, but Elsa remained motionless as if she didn't know him at all.

Luke sat in an occupied seat but did not participate, indifferently watching Elsa's every move with a calm expression.

The men at the table were either rich or wealthy. When Elsa won money from them, they didn't get angry, and they seemed to desire to see her happy. This group of people played from six in the evening until past ten at night, and Elsa had piles of chips in front of her. It was a testament to her victory, amounting to tens of thousands of dollars.

"Luke, aren't you joining?" Elsa casually grabbed a few chips in her hand, provoking Luke, who was not far away.

Chloe said that Luke owed this casino and that he would come to check on it every 17th of the month, which indeed led her to meet Luke.

She needed money now, especially since her younger brother Vincent Miller's medical expenses were escalating. Even if she couldn't become Luke's woman, earning more money would be good.

Thinking of this, Elsa stood up and said, "I'm done playing. Winning so easily is boring."

She then prepared to have the dealer exchange the chips for cash.

"Since you invited me, I'll join and play with you," Luke spoke slowly, a sentence that made Elsa stop in her tracks.

Luke's prowess in card games was undeniable. His demeanor shifted to one of intense focus, his attention solely on Elsa. Each time she placed a bet, he would audaciously increase it by tenfold or even twentyfold. Elsa's pile of chips diminished rapidly, akin to water slipping through one's fingers. In the end, even the initial stake of two thousand dollars was swept away in the tide of losses.

"You're stingy. I'm not playing anymore." Elsa stood up and "accidentally" lost her balance and fell into Luke's arms.

The distance between the two was not very close, but her disguise was a bit too obvious.

"So this lady came for Luke!"

"She wins against us without hesitation, but now she's deliberately being so gentle with Luke."

"Luke, she's so beautiful. Don't reject her!"

Elsa's intentions to seduce Luke were obvious, and the people at the table could see through it, so they began to joke with Luke.

Luke, however, remained silent, lifting Elsa with one hand and pulling the strip behind her halter dress, causing her to cough.

He thought, ‘Indeed, she had been exploiting her looks to lure me in. Her sly intentions and aspirations were as clear as day on her face. Such behavior is simply repugnant.’

"Luke, I'm staying at the hotel next door. Come find me tonight." Elsa struggled to break free from Luke's grasp. She took out a room key card from her handbag and tucked it into Luke's belt before slowly getting up and leaving the casino.

Luke watched Elsa's departing figure and remembered the information he had received a few days ago.

[Go check again what that woman experienced before she went to study abroad and why she suddenly returned.] He sent a message to Max.

Luke suddenly felt as if he was prey targeted by this woman named Elsa.

He thought, ‘How hilariously! She even wants to manipulate me. No one in this world could do that.’

Luke coldly pulled out the room key card that Elsa had tucked into his belt. He wanted to see what Elsa was up to.
