Chapter 5 Kneel Down and Kowtow to Me

Charles opened the drawer and pulled out a document, handing it to James.

"James, this is the will left by Mr. Ramirez when he was hospitalized. All you need to do is sign it, and the inheritance will be yours."

"But there's one condition you need to be aware of."

"What condition?"

James took the will from Charles's hand, asking with some confusion.

"Mr. Ramirez specifically instructed that if you want to inherit this wealth, you must marry Miss Laura Hall. Otherwise, the entire inheritance will be donated to a charity fund," Charles explained slowly.

"Marry Laura Hall? Who is she?" James was taken aback. He hadn't expected there to be any conditions for inheriting the wealth. It felt like he was being given money along with a wife.

"According to the will, I cannot disclose any information about Miss Hall!" Charles said calmly.

"Is Laura a fat and ugly old woman?" James asked, frowning.

"James, you don't need to worry about Miss Hall. With today's advanced technology, even if she's not attractive, you can make her beautiful if you have money," Charles said with a smile.

"That makes sense."

James touched his nose, then nodded. "Okay, I agree to this condition."

"If you have no issues, you can sign it now, and the will can take effect immediately." Charles pushed the will towards James.

Faced with such a large inheritance, James had no reason to refuse. He would have agreed even if he had to marry an unattractive woman or even a beast. After all, he had suffered enough from being poor.

After James signed the document, Charles put the will away and handed James a black metal card with great respect.

"What is this?" James took the black card, looking puzzled.

"James, this is a top-tier bank card," Charles explained. "With this card, you can enjoy exclusive privileges and services at the world's finest establishments. You can spend freely without a set limit."

James examined the card and chuckled, "Are you sure this card has no spending limit?"

"Absolutely. Your company's internal accounts will cover all expenses with this card, and your company's total market value exceeds a hundred trillion, so any expenses below that amount pose no issue," Charles softly elaborated.

"Wow, I never knew such a powerful bank card existed!" James grinned, eager to try it out after leaving.

"James, here's my business card. I usually handle your company matters, so feel free to reach out if you encounter any difficulties," Charles respectfully handed James a business card.

"Very well." James accepted the card and continued, "If nothing else, I'll take my leave."

"Allow me to see you off," Charles offered politely.

"No need. I'll go by myself," James replied, waving his hand casually before turning and leaving Charles' office.

Five minutes later, James exited the elevator.

A loud noise.

Dozens of security guards immediately surrounded James.

James was taken aback and bewildered by the sight of the security guards.

"Perverse creature, you've finally emerged!" The black-stockinged beauty whom James had touched inappropriately before strode out from the crowd with hands on her hips, disdainfully addressing James. "How dare you, a delivery guy, take advantage of our Miss Reed! Do you have a death wish?"

"And look at yourself. You have no shame." The receptionist joined in the scolding.

"What happened earlier was indeed my fault, but I've already apologized to you. What more do you want?" James furrowed his brow, confronting the black-stockinged beauty.

"What do I want? Do you even know how repulsed I felt when you touched me earlier? Just the thought of being touched by someone like you makes me sick," sneered the black-stockinged beauty with eyes filled with contempt.

"Think what you will. No one's stopping you. Step aside, I'm leaving," James retorted, visibly upset by the blatant personal attack.

"You want to leave?" The black-stockinged beauty sneered, pointing at James. "If you don't apologize to me today, you won't be leaving this place!"

"How do you want me to apologize to you then?" James stared sharply at the black-stockinged beauty, his tone icy.

"Kneel and beg me for mercy. Then I'll forgive you," the black-stockinged beauty threatened coldly. "If you don't, I'll send you straight to the police!"

"Yes, kneel and beg Miss. Reed for mercy!" The surrounding security guards echoed in support, urging him to comply.

Surrounded and outnumbered, James appeared vulnerable and helpless.

He never expected this woman before him to be so outrageous, demanding that he kneel and beg for mercy because of accidentally brushing against her chest. Anger simmered within him at such audacity.

"What are you standing around for? Kneel now!" the chief security guard commanded in an authoritative tone.

James turned to look at the chief guard but remained silent. Though poor, he had his dignity.

"Sharon, what's going on here?" At that moment, a roar erupted from behind James.

Everyone froze in disbelief upon hearing it.
